Long weekend, just getting ’round to reading. Hope this doesn’t become buried. Do a lot of you not realize that up until good old ‘Chris Colombo’ set sail, the majority of people still believed the earth to be flat? Well, forgot about all those other types who crossed the sea and straits, but the gist is the earth was flat. And unless you were Ezekel and got to fly in a ‘chariot of fire’ and saw that the earth was not so flat after all, you believed the earth was flat, not much existed beyond a certain stretch of earth. Therefore, as with all areas down through the ages, a flood has occurred at, around, or near any major waterway. Hence, the ‘world was flooded’ and in more than a many locales, even islands of the pacific. (Think of that tsunmi (sp) that killed 10s of thousands. 4000+ years ago it might have been record thusly: and the sea rose up to flood the world wherein much of the peoples were washed from the face of the earth.) I am not writing to sway any ones’ beliefs but add my own questions as to the what whens wheres recorded in the Bible and history of a ‘great flood’. And as an aside, born, baptized Baptist in the Bible Belt. Many doubts and question arose down thru my 68 years here, found my spirituality along the way and happy to say without any organized religion, I know from whence I came, and to whence I shall return. Wishing you all well, and great happiness.

@THREEMONKEYSMOMMA You stated “am surprised this house full of kids had the gun accessable, but I glad it turned out this way.” I don’t know when the tide turned in that directiion but I’m 66 my next birthday and was raised in a large family. Guns were everywhere, in every home. Not once did any of us younger chilrden shoot ourselves or any one else. Learned behavior from an early age told us that guns were only used for hunting and self defense. We hunted at an early age and was taught how to handle every type gun. My Granddad had an 8 guage shot gun that put my little ass on the ground. Once. Never touched it again. Earned me a 410. LOL Hand guns were carried by quite a few adults and nobody ever shot or killed anyone. When I read of kids playing with guns and shooting themselves or someone else, my first thought is ‘somebody didin’t get educated with a switch’ like we did. Nor were they educated about the weapon in the home. My weapon of choice for me and mine against the crazies, is a fully automatic assault rifle. BUT not having access to such, we just rely on that ever faithful 12 guage with bird shot and various hand guns.

“Westboro distorts the Bible”……hmmm, why just Westboro? Me thinks perhaps every one does just that. 5 people in a room…5 different religions…5 different interpertations of what is written in the
Bible….and peeps, MY maker does NOT ‘hate’ anything. Can’t. It’s a earthly, human only emotion. If everyone would stop taking the Bible so literally, and start thinking for themselves…..o’well, deaf ears, moot point…moving on

I am a conservative as many of you are that read and post in the Blaze. Now, having said that let me say this, the whole subject of abortion is stupid beyond belief. Way I see it, the ‘pro’s’ don’t want anyone telling them what they can or can’t do with their bodies/lives. Sound like a conservative thing to me. The ‘cons’ want big brother to make a low against what one can or cannot do with their lives/bodies. Sound liberal to me. Yet the war that wages is between conservatives that seem to be dead set against abortion, and liberals who want it. Don’t add up, now does it? So my conservative frends, why are you so adamately opposed and want more government intrusions in our lives? And stop with the name calling on this issue. It serves but one purpose, to inflame and anger and thus making this the stupidist of all our problems. What my sisters in life choose to do IN THIS LIFE is solely her life choices to make. Who am I to force my ways of thinking and doing on someone else while doing what I want?? Sounds a whole lot like hypocritical, now don’t it? And of course I gotta say this, those of you calling the sister in life and the doctor ‘baby killers’, you do so need to take an anatomy class on the 3 trimesters of pregnancy. Yet even with doing that and learning the differences, religion trumps knowledge every time, doesen’t it?

I’m thinking back to my 5th grade teacher and having a ball with all the mental images of her telling us things like that!!! I’m getting long in the tooth and back in those years, one could start first grade if your 6th birthday fell before the end of the year, therefore alot of us were only 10 going into the 5th grade. Yep, that would have been a shocker for us, for sure. Our school system now sucks donkey balls. Didn’t realize it at the time, but they (liberals, that is) started the sneak attack by moving entry date back to having to be 6 BEFORE the school year started. Next step was making kindergarten mandatory and part of the the school term…K thru 12 they were/are calling it. Do away with one thing to make another. More money thing, more control thing, etc. Now they have Pre-K!!! My generation only had 12 years of schooling and produced some of the greatest minds of all times. Now it’s 14 years and the grads can’t read or write or spell. Ask one that you know this simple question…where’s Washington?….Going to say DC every time. None of the basics are being taught in grade school anymore, and what we’re getting is a bunch of educated idiots. In high school we had 6 courses a day, now they have 8 crammed into the day, mostley stuff that ain’t gonna do the student any good what so ever. BUT you get to employ twice as many school personal. Hot damn!! More time and more liberals to warp our kids minds!!

My other half is a Viet Nam Veteran, of the age when this wonderful man started this trek up that mountain, so this call is going out to the Nam Vets in that area, “Get off your butts and volunteer to go along with this WW2 Hero to ensure he doesn’t fall or slip”.

I personally know of two who think FoxNews is the only channel on tv now. If I know two, there has to be millions and millions more.So you are correct on that point. I am a faithful watcher of Morning Joe. Don’t, wait, listen….I prefer to keep my friends close and my enemies closer, so I watch ONLY Morning Joe, understand? As far as the rest of the day timers on BSnbc, if they say or do something stupid..wait, that’s all the time..but if they really go nutzoid, I get it from Breitbart, Rush, or the Blaze.

I have a 29 year old granddaughter that was born disabled. (white) It took us 26 years of fighting with the government to get her on SSI disablity. Every alcoholic we knew was on SSI because of it. And the list of ‘shouldn’t be’s’ goes on and on. I told you this to tell you this…my daughter controls my granddaughter’s money (approx. 700 a month) because of granddaughter likes beer. Bills have to be paid. When we take her to get food with her EBT, that is why WE separate what she gets…we pay for it with OUR money, not hers. This is called personal responsibility. Those welfare queens have NO personal responsibility. Raised that way. We have near us, the 6th generation of one family living on public assistance. Common among blacks, and become so with white trash. Before I run out of word count…at one of my local grocery chains, I witnessed this, a 40ish black, obese woman with four carts of groceries. Paid with EBT. I asked the cashier was she allowed to tell me the amount of her ebt card. She says “you mean CARDS. She had four totally over a thousand dollars”. HERS now, not hers and others she may have been to get them food. That underscores the problem with meth/crack addicts selling their EBTs for drug/alcohol/tobacco/gambling habits. Yes, we need to do drug screening on everyone on public assistance and put an end to this wasteful, costly scam. Every 13 years one family can add another future welfare queen. Gotta stop the nonsense.

How do you know it’s easy? When did you die? Don’t bring politics into yet another personal and private life situation. Very demeaning to that man and his family. I am not now, have never been, nor will I ever be, a liberal but my life is my life, not yours, and I think one should be able to make any and all life altering decision themselves, not a religious freak, or the government. I’m a Republican and I approve this message.

Interesting you posters your lack of understanding and compassion for a dying man. :First do no harm’. If you’re going to use that, use it in the context for which it was intended. It does not apply to an 83 year old man suffering from a terminal illness. The doctor who wrote the prescription did not harm. His knowledge and compassion wrote the prescription. As one who has held 3 loved ones when they took their last breath, after months of pain and mental anquish, compared to holding my beloved pets that had to be euthanized, I wish the same could have been for my suffering loved ones. (My Mother with ALS, my brother with Pancreatic cancer, my beloved cousin with Ovarian cancer.) How dare you call this elderly man a coward. To you religious ones, do you not know the Bible says ‘A time to reap…a time to sow, a time to live, a time to die’? Your coming and going is in his hands, his plan. When my brother was first diagnosed and starting chemo, he ask me if I thought he could beat the cancer. I told him that I was praying he would but it was left up to our Master. If it is not your time to go, you will. But if it’s your time, no medicine, no man alive, will stop Gods will. Had a friend shot himself right between the eyes. The bullet traveled the skull on the outside and exited. Wasn’t his time. Suicide is a cruel thing to inflict on your loved ones. This man was surrounded by his loved ones. Huge difference. I’m 83 and suffering. Yep, doing the sam

Running late on this one, hoping someone reads this. Georgian and a voter. Conservative. This woman was responding to something of which you know nothing of, unless you are a Georgian also. Her esteemed opponent comes out last week with a statement that the state has funded over 300k of tax payer monies for abortions for state employees. Not once did he mention that these same employees PAY for their insurance. I also wrote him a sharp response. Maybe this lady went about it all wrong but the gist of the retort is the same as mine with this exception. I wanted to know how many Viagra and other male enchancements, were paid for and if you gonna limit one, limit them all. Come on people. Deny it all you wish, but abortion is only an issue for religious peeps. You believe whole-heartedly that life begins at conception because The Bible and religious leaders tells you so. I’m a spiritualist and rely on the brain my Maker sent me here with. And all my church learning, book learning, life learning, soul searching, has formed my thoughts on when life begins. Doesn’t it sound even remotely possible to you that if you die with that last breath and the soul leaves the body, that soul-life doesn’t begin until you are born and take that first breath? And do you believe that two souls can occupy the same body? You’d have to to believe that a fetus has a soul. My Maker ain’t gonna send a soul into a non viable body. What would be the point?

@CultureWarriors-If somebody doesn’t watch them and report on it, how else are we going to know what crap and lies these idiots are spewing and what is to be ignored/taken with a grain of salt, or to understand what we have to do to protect the USofA from the idiots? Listen and learn.

  • January 25, 2012 at 5:52am

See how easy it is to incite the passion of so-called pious people? I am with you on this. It’s called pro-choice. My life- my body- my decision. Only our Maker has the Power to judge if we are right or wrong, and deal with us accordingly. I’m not and never will be, affiliated with any man made religion. I am a spiritual being, knowing from where I came and where I shall return. Those who oppose abortion are surely not spiritual, only religious. For if they were spiritual, they would understand that two souls cannot abide in the same body. Each of us are seperate souls housed in this earthly body for our time here. Does it not make sense to everyone that if the soul leaves the body upon death and that last breath, the it quite possible does not enter the body until birth and that first breath? I was pregnant four times and gave birth to four children, abortion wasn’t an option to me as my children were wanted. But I thank the law (roe v wade) that gives every female that option. Who am I to tell another human being what they can or cannot do, espicially with their own body, their on life?? I am also a science/biology earth based individual as well. Pregnancy is a biological event in human existance. So, you, Balthazor, prison? Really? Shall we imprison The Powers that be for all those miscarriages? Act of God or biological? Can’t have that both ways.

Me thinks some of you missed the point of this. > “This is completely evil and could lead to huge numbers of witless internet users inadvertently attacking, say, the Department of Justice by clicking a random link they stumble across on Twitter.” “Witless” was the give-away for me. Mind control at it’s finest. I was gonna make a sarcastic post i.e. “What??? I can’t take down a Gubment site??? Say it ain’t so!!! What’s this world coming to!?! And who they calling witless???” Just saying…..

oops, sorry, fingers on wrong keys……again….. Only read the first page of comments, so don’t know if this was addressed yet….What the hey has happened to U.S. History being taught in school these days??? Speaks volumes about our so-called education system.
