  • Any entity that would buy the newspaper, whether the Koch brothers or others, would not run it so as to lose money on the transaction. Supplying folks with what they want is free enterprise and sound management. It appears, though that the Council is imaging and afraid that some balance may be harmful to their designs for maintaining elitist power over the thoughts and attitudes of the people. God forbid that someone step on the toes of the liberal progressive machine in LA. The Council is more interested in control of the press and suppressing imagined opposing points of view and hindering free speech. Shameful!!

  • Facebook has suspended pages because of statements opposing the current President, but they would allow this type of thing to continue? Where is the sense in that?

  • Do we remember how the liberal/progressives at MSNBC believe we must get past the idea that children belong to their parents and families? They belong to the “collective”. Mr. & Mrs. Nikolayev, from Russia, surely know what the “collective” means. God help us all!!

  • God bless that poor guy in the last picture.
I tuned into MSNBC to see how they were covering the Boston explosions. I didn’t have to wait long for Chris Matthews to start to push one of his guests to speculate on who perpetrated this.
He stated how Boston is a very liberal area. Mentioned the symbolism and how whoever did it wanted world-wide attention.
Then it came – He brought up domestic terrorists, stating that, of course these are usually on the far right . Then he went on about the explosion at the JFK library and how the assassin had a political agenda.
To top it all, tax day was mentioned, and he said that causes emotions to run high.
No statements yet as to Tea Party folks possibly being involved, but can that be far behind? Shameless!

  • Always the victim. These folks don’t understand that support for President Obama was a vote for transforming this country into a Social Democracy, which taken to its ideal is Communism.

  • Hi, Carol. He definitely has makeup on. If you copy & paste the 2 pix side by side, you can see the deep horizontal furrow in his brow, just above the eyebrows in both. Funny, though I can’t find any other pix of him.

  • OK, John. Apologize. Both Ted Cruz & Rand Paul should be proud! You said, “I believe we live in a very dangerous world. And I think sequestration is outrageous.” OK there also. Do you even acknowledge the reason for the filibuster that prompted this exchange? How do you feel about drones as a threat to we citizens? Rand Paul got his answer from the regime. What have you done recently to go after answers? Why do you persist in allowing the Executive branch to supersede and essentially make irrelevant, the Legislative branch?

  • @encinom Such “authoritative” pronouncements through this comment section. What legal inside information do you have that gives you that expertise? Any? Or do you just like listening to yourself? Also, name calling is so mature.

  • “Feelings” outweigh a person’s right to adequately defend oneself. This statement by Senator Harvey laid out the gun control advocates’ philosophy very well. Theirs are “feel good” proposals, not action that will do anything to prevent gun violence. Going after law-abiding citizens’ weapons will do nothing to keep weapons away from criminals and others who plan to do harm. This is what we all need to understand, because these moves have been in the works for many years by these same people. Case in point: Following the meetings that VP Biden had with groups, he met with Cabinets members & made a brief statement. From the C-Span video: Mr. Biden stated, “I am going to be making a recommendation, NOT AS A CONSEQUENCE OF LONG DRAWN OUT HEARINGS, WHICH ARE USEFUL, BUT BECAUSE THERE’S AN AWFUL LOT OF RESEARCH AND MATERIAL THAT’S BEEN LYING AROUND OVER THE LAST 10 YEARS IN THE VARIOUS AGENCIES”. The meetings were obviously a side show designed to make people “feel” that all aspects of gun violence & all sides of the issue were heard and considered in the ultimate recommendations. The NRA said that these meetings were a sham and was vilified for saying that. VO Biden’s statement confirmed that. This was not reported by the media. Are we surprised?

  • I vote that everyone ignore BaldingEagle1776. Period. No more replies to him. He’ll get tired of posting his nonsense quickly.
