  Now I may be wrong, but didn’t the proposed legislation also include bans on certain types of firearms, limits to magazine sizes, background checks, trafficking measures, conceal carry, etc.. If they just isolated the mental health and expanded background sections then perhaps DD would have a good point.. Too much mud in the water to single out one issue to say you have blood on your hands..

  First thing I noticed was the muzzle position as others mentioned and the second was the AR-15 is not an Assult Rifle as noted in the story.. He was carrying around his semi-auto AR-15 firearm.. The media scare tactics are working if we lump in a semi-auto with a cosmetic tactical look as a M-16 fully auto firearm. They should release the AR with a wood stock a 5 mag clip and see if the arse hole still see it as an “Assult Rifle”..
