For 3,000 years, marriage was defined as between a man and a woman. Yes, there were some men with many wives, like King Solomon. Now a switch is flipped and everyboody in the nation is forced to accept the definitions and talking points of gay advocacy groups? Even our president didn’t support gay marriage until 2012. The thought police are biting away at conventional wisdom, Biblical teachings, and longstanding culture with big gulps. Frankly, I think it is our right to think and say as we are led by our conscience, each individual having rights of expression and association. The gays are supremely intolerant themselves and cannot say they love their straight Christian opponents in the cake war that shapes up as a culture clash. Christians can love gay people but choose to not participate in their weddings. Find another baker. It’s that simple.
As time goes on, things change...it is the natural order of things.
With that, societies change as well...and what those societies deem appropriate change with them. The social institution of marriage is not different. It was not long ago that marriage was considered the handing off of property (the main property being women); with a greater appreciation of the equality of women, that changed. There was a time when it was unthinkable for someone to marry outside his or her religion; however, with a greater focus on romantic love, that has changed. It was once illegal in many parts of our country for people of different races to get married; with our understanding of the equality of races, this has also come to an end. There was a time in our nation's history when marrying a person of the same sex was illegal...and homosexual couples were derided as inferior to other relationships; that has now changed.
50 years ago, the vast majority of citizens didn't support race-mixing. Now it would be absurd to oppose interracial marriage. Societies change when they become more enlightened.
You keep talking about how gays are intolerant. Who exactly is being turned away while being told to go somewhere else for service? I'm pretty sure it isn't the baker.
Find another baker? What if all the bakers in the small town in Arkansas have "deeply held religious beliefs"? Perhaps the gay couple can go on a road trip and beg bakers from town to town in the hopes that someday they'll get a wedding cake. That sound reasonable to you?
'3000 years... Defined as between a man and a woman'
You mean back when women were property, and women who could not prove their virginity were put to death? Gen 2:24
Or when concubines were perfectly okay? Abraham had 2 of them.
And because women were property of their husbands, their property became their husbands as well, including female slaves whom they were allowed to have sex with (Gen 16)
How many instances in the Bible are there of men with multiple wives? Quite a lot.
Then there's the whole 'must marry your rapist' thing in Duet, female prisoners of war became 'wives' (ie, sex slaves).
Tell me more about this book and how we should listen to what it has to say about 'marriage'

Chuck, thanks for being principled and voting in the best interest of America.

Your numbers are absurd. The financial statement shows about $300 million income with $21 million (7%) administrative expense, not including administrative costs within each “initiative” that has its own objectives. How can $1 million pay for 200 employees and the costs associated with thousands of volunteers? You must be pulling numbers out of thin air…or somewhere else.
Thank you for providing some details.
My figure of 1 million $$$ is based off of, and sourced from the syndicated radio talk show of Mark Levin and his statements on the August 5, 2015 airing of his program.
I beleive that Mr. Levin reported that the Clintons divertedt $1 million dollars of foundation charity money in 2014 into thier personal accounts through illegal accounting pracitces.
Not a word for word quote but the relevant number for personal use by Clintons is very close. Close enough for a federal attorneys hand grenade indictment in a grand jury.
Thanks again for the quick response time on damage control.
It may have been aired on August 6 2015.
Your inquiry smells presumptously savage in nature Mr. Livingston?

Hence the $600 haircuts, private jets, no drivers license, multiple mansions, and globe-trotting lifestyle. A real leader of the little people! The Democrats need a new candidate, but who?
We're fine with Hillary thanks for your concern. You guys worry about 3 ring Trump circus on your side.
Crazy Uncle Joe Biden will soon be anointed by King Obama when Hillary finishes crashing.

Political correctness is taught as social gospel in high schools and colleges everywhere, with only a few exceptions. Dumbed down students live by sound bites and platitudes until maturity brings recognition of the folly of PC thinking by some. Then ultimately there are the rabid life-long engineers of humanity, living by self-righteous certainty of the way things should be for all. They are the ones who endanger a culture and way of life by their frenzied egalitarianism enacted into law, extended further in a regulatory society bent upon elimination of individual differences in preference of mollifying victim grievance groups. This ideology into policy is about ideas, not flesh and blood people who are almost always hurt by the sweep of progressive trends. PC is an underpinning of Marxism light whose failures are legend but its adherents march on in the certainty that all works out in the end. We can thank our schools for our predicament.

This is emblematic of the hypersensitive victim culture in which we live. It is harder and harder to validate victimization, what with all the mixed race kids running around and all the black professionals in every occupation. The fantasized slight become racism worthy of public outcry and apology, the poor dears. This reminds me of the Washington DC comptroller who was fired for correctly using the word “niggardly” which created a racial furor among those who wrongly assumed it was a racial slur.

I must admit Vanity Fair made him up to look great as a 67 year old woman. I want to see what he looks like rolling out of bed at 6:00 A.M after a night on the town. Sorry, Caitlyn, I do not believe your intractable gender identity disorder will go “POOF” and disappear because of your surgery. It rarely does.

Sounds like the JournoList is getting back together to confront Hillary and shape her up. It’s about time this clack of progressive cheerleaders figured out what real reporting is supposed to be. Attention on George Steponallofus was a good sign as well.

In the Age of Obama, justice has many meanings. Now the cops are the bad guys and the victims are the perps. Street thugs are elevated into celebrity status and spaces are provide for controlled destruction. Marchers have “Black Lives Matter” signs while blacks shoot and kill dozens of their black neighbors. The press makes heroes out of prosecutors who act like circus clowns . Oh, what a brave new world and the people in it.

Now, that is a fine human being. Aside from her kidney she has a beautiful heart.
It is hot and humid in Lee County, Florida, in May. You’ll see a lot more skin everywhere you go from ladies trying to stay cool and be stylish. That dress wouldn’t draw a second look in that town. That said, why not just tell her to change or not to wear it again at school? Congratulations on your academic success, Cameron. Hard work pays off, but small-minded dolts are everywhere and you just have to deal with them time to time.

There are only two possible explanations, God’s rebuke or climate control? What about the violent convergence of two air masses resulting in a freak storm and very heavy rainfall? It’s as simple as that with no human sin or God’s wrath needed to account.
No no no, there is a religious or political angle to everything man. C'mon.

Baltimore will never be the same after this. All of the efforts to revive the downtown will be set back decades. This is yet another toxic racial episode that has eroded race relations in the Obama era. I assume he is huddling with Secretary Lynch in order to figure out how to justify and approve the violent protesters while simultaneously calling for peace and justice through the courts rather than street warfare. In these events, Mr Obama becomes a community organizer, not a presidential leader.
He actually delivered on the nukes, healthcare not so much.

Right you are. I know two recent graduates who both had loathsome experiences. One had to send her diploma back so the name of a health economics professor could be expunged. Seems the gay professor was pimping out his adopted son to other pedophiles. She cancelled her plans to attend grad school there. It has become a blight on Southern academia, especially the Marxist English Department. Yes, that is a true assessment by another grad who just wanted to study literature and ended up deconstructing class and gender studies in the great literary works, wasting his time and his father’s money..

Holder cares nothing about the law. He cares only about advancing the ideology he shares with the President. They are both immune right now, but will they fall hard when the obstruction, lies, and deceit become clear after their time is done? This is the most corrupt adminiistration in my lifetime, and I’m old!

This is a president who lied about his cancer-ridden mother on her deathbed to drum up support for ObamaCare. Why would he be truthful about his illegal, Kenyan, deadbeat uncle? “Uncle who? I forgot.”
