  I agree about keeping more of my money, but the overlords must not be allowed to manipulate how we get to keep it. This is progressivism. Republican progressivism is just as dangerous as liberal progressivism, perhaps more so because it gets conservatives to buy into the progressive mantra because the cause is sympathetic.

  I live in Michigan.

  We have problems. Big problems. Debt, falling population, no jobs, little hope. Detroit is heading for collapse and bankruptcy and we have no money to bail it out. And all our legislature and Governor seem to want to work on are social engineering projects.

  Michigan is poster child for Progressive Republican failure.

  Whigs. I am reminded of Whigs. I think I have cast my last Republican vote for President. I will likely vote Libertarian now. I thought Romney could help slow our economic slide and ….that he could win. If the GOP can no longer win and no longer promotes individual liberty then I may as well vote for those who represent my views.

  The Whigs would not work toward the phasing out of slavery because they feared losing power in 1856. By 1860 they were dust. I think this is what is happening with the GOP. Free soil Whigs foined with the Republicans. The Tea Party must now see that the GOP is as much an enemy as the Democrats and join with Libertarians to form something new.

  Romney will not win. If possible the Dems will fake a victory with they compliance of the media. If the margin is too big then there will be a “crisis” that will neccesitate postponement of the election until they can win… terror attack, widespread grid failure, Europe going haywire, something.
