  Hey Check – How do you know it would have kept him from killing himself,eh? He could’ve gotten drunk, smoked a bunch of weed, gotten in a car, and slammed head on into your family to complete suicide. BTW, gun registration = gun confiscation. Can’t see why you can’t see that. Hitler and all other dick-tasters did.

  My brother was ex-Special Forces, and was going back to school, had started drinking heavily and my parents were going through a bitter divorce. We were having a hard time with our parents divorce, and my brother used a .44mag to take his life while his blood alcohol content was .23. Yes, he is to blame, but so was PTSD. The VA was hardly talking about PTSD then, so anyway. There are no easy explanations nor solutions, except to get help when needed. I miss him everyday and pressed on and ended up with my own health issues, but I am grateful for what I do have, and believe me, it has been a struggle. I couldn’t have made it without Jesus. When someone is having that much trouble and commits the act of suicide, God doesn’t turn them away, He takes them unto His love. You won’t believe some of the stupid crap I had to hear, but I know most mean well. I also didn’t blame guns the rest of my life. In fact, I was on a military competition shooting team at the time and didn’t quit, as I so easily could have. I do use my experiences to put anti-gunners in their place at times. When people commit suicide, it’s an irrational act of desperation, and an obvious act showing that person needed help. It is also a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Suicide leaves family and friends in a guilt-ridden state for a long time, and they need compassion and help. There are support groups,books and counselors who can help, just like what the person who committed the act needed.
