Yes, I mock at my own peril. But, I only mock those who gauge current time disasters/calamities that have only occurred in what, 20 years?

Your only sense of time is from a biblical time-line. You probably still think the earth is only 6,000 years old, right? Let’s presume you don’t. The earth as it exists today is in it’s “Calmest” existence in it’s 5 billion year history. Yes, that is correct. The earth has never seen better climate/disasters compared to it very violent past. So, those who use the current weather/calamities to push there prophecies or political agenda’s are just brainwashed and mid-guided.

Listening to @Cavallo, seems like he has a rich knowledge of history and the only one with common sense here. He is able to put things into context without the dogma.

I think most of you, are just afraid. Rightly so, these are pretty scary times. But they always have been, but these times are different. A nice cool breeze is passing through my window, just finished my glass of cheap Merlot. and yawn. Time to go to bed and will sleep very well, and the world will still be here. It’s been mess up forever my friend, and I can’t change that, either can you.

@Cavallo I just read something about grain and a beaten Olive Tree. I remember when the first Gulf War started, “they” were in full apocalyptic mode. Uh. that was like 20 years ago. Oh no, now I’m going to get all of the replies. “Oh brother now who he saith not will sow hath he not the bearer of thoust not who’th then thou not will not be in denial of that who…. what ever. Now, when this doesn’t pan out, or Syria is destroyed, 10 years later we all still here; “they” will just say, “Only God Knows the true end time”. Civilizations have come and gone since the beginning of time, we are no different, worlds also come and go. Yes, there are more stupid humans in the universe so get over yourselves.

Let me preface this by saying I’m in the “Come and Get Them” camp. And I live in Kalifornia.
I work with HHS and know how some of this works.

This new legislation just dove tails into old laws that have been on the books for 12 years or so..

Existing law provides that a person who has been taken into
custody for a 72 hour LPS hold as a danger to self or others,
but not required to undergo further treatment, may not own a
firearm for five years unless the person proves by a
preponderance in a judicial hearing that he or she may safely
possess a firearm. (Welf. & Inst. Code 8130, subd. (f).)

A caseworker is assigned, psychiatrists have to testify in court, this is time consuming process.
I have no problem with removing firearms from LPS cases.

I know the slippery slope argument, but “They” can’t just say I’m a right wing nut job, and start knocking on my door, it’s not a pre-defined “Diagnoses”… YET.

I don’t know, help me out here, see no problem tracking down people that were already on the “List”.
This is only a funds allocation to LEO to go and get them from criminals and people deemed by the courts to be mentally incompetent.

“What are you willing to die for?”; a question for both sides of the equation.

You will be having to choose sides soon my friend. By reading some of the comments here, I have no doubt that if LEO doesn’t do a gut check before implementing unconstitutional orders like knocking on someones door to take there children away from them, there will be push back, these folks were kind and gentle. God forbid, and the way this country is going the term “Cop Killer” will be synonymous with “Freedom Fighter”. You may want to think of different employment, you are no doubt on our side, but if these constant attacks on our Bill of Rights doesn’t subside, there will be violence.
