I don’t understand why this is so laughable. I’m sure not one of the commentators have spent time contemplating about the pyramids before this happened. Now they suddenly know that it’s an impossible theory? They must be outside their “comfort zone.”

That’s a dog, an old one. Wolves don’t walk that way.

Sounds to me like he never said that he was black. He just marketed himself to his constituents in a way he thought they would like. It’s called advertising. There’s no story here – except that he unseated a long time incumbent.

What ever happened to the concept of “Evil flourishes when good men do nothing”? I think David Barton is a good man and, like many others before him — Washington comes to mind — he needs to step up and serve his time. There are others spreading his message around the country as well if not better than David can. If he passes this one up it’s going to be a long 6 years.
On a different note, what other good men do we have that could win? Rick Greene?
See my post above on all this. there are others. First he is an educator not a politician. Second people here and I'm sure others as well complain and demonize politicians who don't do EVERYTHING they want. I would re-think your stance.
He can do more good preparing the next generation of leaders than turning in to a politician.

Brigott -I agree with your post: “If someone is uncomfortable around a gay-pride demonstration, will the gay demonstrators then be arrested for disorderly conduct?
Or if illegal immigrants make people uncomfortable, will the illegals then be arrested?
Or if Pelosi visits Texas, will she be arrested? I know I would be uncomfortable around her.”
Why does this not apply to discomfort in other situations? Stinks.

I’m glad that Bill O’Reilly started this conversation. Let’s keep it going and be civil.

Women’s bodies are built for nursing their babies. The body automatically responds this way after giving birth. It is painful NOT to nurse your baby. After birth, the doctor will give medication to reduce the lactation if the mom plans not to nurse. This is natural and it is also nurturing. There should be no problem doing it in public, as long as the mom is discrete. You too were a baby once.
Baby? Of course. Toddler, on solids? No. There is no reason why a mother in a first world country needs to go to a restaurant and put a healthy toddler to a breast.
STA - the solids is an assumption. It says no where that the baby didn't want to eat the pizza so she breast fed. I don't agree with a mother's choice to breast feed their child well into their toddler years. One year old is not into their toddler years. At most the baby was eating rice cereal, possibly grain cereal with a little baby food... which you have to supplement with breast feedings!! I'd like to see a "just one year old" who can talk beyond baby babble.
Why were they having a press conference outside if it was raining? That could’ve been easily moved inside out of consideration for all of the reporters standing in the rain with their electronics, etc. That would’ve been a classy move. The Marines were following orders. They’re fine. A better choice for them, given this odd situation, would’ve been to both stand to the right of those they were sheltering. Marines never carry anything in their right hand – mostly so they can salute when necessary. However he may have been asked by the president to stand on his left. Not that big of a deal folks. The bigger deal is holding the press conference in the rain. One could say he did it to keep things short.

Not only have these dogs been abused, the breed is illegal in that county. For those of you who don’t know what that means, it means that these dogs can and most likely will be killed by animal control. Breed specific legislation is wrong. It’s not the breed, it’s the owner. These dogs need to be trained to kill other dogs, it doesn’t come naturally.

Why not demand quotas for German-Americans, Swedish-Americans, Polish-Americans, etc. It is equally as valid. Its all just communist subversion.

Graphic is mislabeled — says “billion” instead of “trillion” on deficit side.
You don't buy loaded guns that go off in the parking lot.

Schools on “lock-down”? Public schools are already like little prisons — can’t get in, can’t get out — even if YOUR child is in there. High schools are the worst. Why people keep sending their kids into this system, I’ll never know. It’s a bad deal for everyone involved.
Teachers ought to be able to conceal carry at school, otherwise they are all sitting ducks.
Or, just ban guns altogether, since this c rap will continue to happen as long as they are legal. I guarantee the gunman/gunmen were upstanding citizens until this incident. It only takes going crazy once before you shoot a bunch of people.
"Naw, dude. Guns don't kill people. People do."
You're a genius. Use the gun on yourself, then and better the world around you.
When the government gets rid of their guns, I'll get rid of mine.
Why not just make murder illegal. That would solve all the gun issues .. right ??
If murder is illegal then you cannot shot and kill someone .. right ?
Friggin Id i 0 t.
@rane - drugs are illegal and yet people still use them. So, do you really think making firearms illegal will keep them out of the hands of criminals?
This will be another domestic violence case.
" In 2012 the Home Office reported that, "in 2010/11, firearms were involved in 11,227 recorded offences in England and Wales" - think about it
@rane - Gun bans only keep guns out of the hands of those most qualified to use them, in other words, those who would use them to protect the innocent. If some fully qualified teachers or other school employees had had a weapon, these kids would still be alive. Those bent on murder will always be able to obtain them illegally. Even an outright ban would not prevent it. If you review history you will find that everytime the gov't bans something, it proliferates: alcohol, drugs, poverty, terror. Outlaw guns and the only people that will have them are criminals, the law-abiding will be completely unprotected. The police cannot protect you against gun violence, they can only show up later and write a report.
Not only a terrible waste of a post you made, advancing politics over pity, but also so devoid of even basic common sense that I wonder about your humanity AND intelligence.
There's no point in speaking further to you, you've absorbed and come to see the irrationality you spout as part of your personality. Good luck stumbling through life blind, deaf and with the awareness level of a dim witted chimpanzee.
ranepowel - You're an idiot. You said: "Or, just ban guns altogether, since this c rap will continue to happen as long as they are legal." Guns are already illegal in Connecticut schools. The shooter broke the law just by taking his guns onto the school property.
Making guns illegal is a moronic non-solution. Has making drugs illegal stopped them?
Maybe you can borrow some common sense from someone...
@ RANEPOWEL - New Jersey, where the shooter is supposedly from, has some of the most restrictive gun control laws in the country. How will banning guns solve anything? An armed society is a polite society.
Your ignorance knows no bounds. I'm 27 years old. I started shooting "dangerous" guns at the age of 5. I worked on a gun range pulling trap for a bunch of old men that liked shooting clay pigeons. NEVER did I ever feel unsafe there. Not once. Most of the normal people I know are law abiding, gun owning citizens. Maybe you're the weird one.
Also, here's a thought for you... I live in an area that has very dense forest. There are about 500 acres of state land just outside my back yard. A little over a year ago I noticed a cougar watching me and my dogs when I would take them outside to eliminate. So, if we ban all guns, how can I defend myself? A lot of people who are plagued with liberal thinking think that only other people are a threat. While it is possible that someone could break into my house, it's also possible that I could be attacked by a cougar. But I may just be a dumb country bumpkin.
I think the government tried to ban alcohol once and it didn't work.
Maybe I'm wrong but wouldn't a black market spring up if guns were "banned"?
I think one exists already, doesn't it?
I donno, Rane, maybe it would work if we banned "all" guns.
We'd have to check every:
2-shipping container on every ship
3-follow those ships to make sure they don't meet up with a gun-running, high-speed bost before 4-reaching our harbors
5-station national guard or army patrols in at 1/2 mi intervals around the entire US
6-heighten airport security ten-fold at all commercial and private airports...well, the private airports we 'know' about
7-close the border with Mexico
8-close the Canadian border
9-make sure NO private plane makes a drop while over US airspace
Shall I go on? OK, I will......
Remember that in all countries where there was mass genocide that the citizenry was either entirely unarmed or for all intents and purposes entirely unarmed:
Pray for these families for God's sake.
To the guy who said ban all guns,
Okay so lets say in your perfect eutopian society nobody has guns except cops and military. So the guy breaks into one of their houses while the cop/military guy is vigilantly protecting your new "Freedoms" - Obtains a gun (or hell goes to a mexican drug-lord and gets it, or any other country that hasnt banned guns yet, AKA black market purchase) Then proceeds to do the SAME thing, yet now - nobody has any means of countering a psycho with a gun except the people that have a 5 minute bare minimum response time. Bank robberies happen w/o guns, and why? because they know the response time of the area.. Taking guns out of the hands of non-violent God-fearing citizens isnt going to solve a damn thing. Furthermore, you cant just expect all violence to stop because of a BAN on something - look at drug laws, look at prohibition laws of yesteryear - all banning or "War on (insert noun)" creates is a blackmarket where criminals get rich on the backs of other criminals..
SERIOUSLY.. you cant have your cake and eat it too, even if it says "Happy Birthday Commie".
So glad so many "americans" are willing to give up freedoms at the cost of "Being protected by the gubment" -
Sandy, Katrina, even typical "safety" while out and about - What has giving up freedoms saved you from - SURE we all love being felt up by TSA before flying, but what has your eutopian mindset saved you from persay?
Short answer - leaves you open to

There are many relief organizations that would be happy to take the donations Romney collect – whatever they are. Look to Mercury One for a list of good relief organizations to donate money/food/water to.

As a simulation type of exercise it is useful, though this is best done as a group exercise aloud and not written. The creepy part is writing it down – so you go somewhere and think through a terrorist attack, then write it all out. Why not have live war-gaming? It’s more fun, educational, interactive, etc. This is an odd choice for a paper.

I haven’t heard anything about how many GAURDS were injured in the skirmish. Have you?

The preview looked really well done. It really tugs at your heartstrings, but the language is rough, and the storyline is not in keeping with the LDS church. KSL is not “opening fire” on the gay population — they’re just making a choice not to air this program. Even from a business standpoint, this wouldn’t make sense. Who would watch it, the .02% of Utah that is gay?

Okay guys, google “Presa Canarios.” Those are the dogs pictured. It could’ve been any one of her pack. Pitbulls are not inherently evil. It’s all about the owner, and sometimes the breeder. Bully breeds are great dogs. They just require a lot of training. It’s called responsibility.
Sorry this gal lost her life. It’s hard to figure out what happened with so little info. I hope they do a follow up when cause of death is confirmed.
