  A lady I used to work with had went through cancer and found out afterwards that she might have this gene. Her insurance company didn’t want to test for it. When she went through her SECOND round of cancer she switched oncologists and founght to be tested. The results showed that she did have this gene and, if she didn’t have a double mastectomy and hysterectomy she would very likely have to battle cancer for a THIRD time, most likely loosing. I can definitely see why Angelina made this choice and am glad she is shedding light on this.

  There is a mistake in this article. Brandon Webb was a SEAL but Jack Murphy was not. Murphy was a Ranger and then SF.

  At Christmas time my husband and I walked to the local gas station to get an energy drink. There was a school aged child in the store buying his lunch, presummably, with an EBT card. It consisted of two bags of chips, some candy and a couple precooked items. He was told he could’t purchase the precooked items but that everything else was fine. They would have been more nutritious than the candy and chips.

  I do agree that there are other issues that need to be focused on. I have been very disappointed with how the GOP debates have been run. Taxes, the economy, the debt, etc. all need to be discussed. The only place I have seen them discuss is on an hour long segment of the Glenn Beck show where Rick Santorum was interviewed. People e-mailed and tweeted these questions, along with others, and they WERE asked. I’d like to see the same questions put to the other candidates.

  As for the HHS Mandate the real issue at stake is whether the government can force people or an institution to do something that is against their morals. The reason so many people have objected is just that. If the government can force people and institutions to violate their morals on this issue, what will come next? It’s a slippery slope.
