  Keaton, I can “cut” 50,000 out of my budget the same way O cut the 2.5 trillion: I think we should buy a nice new truck; nope we should wait- look I just “saved” 50,000 out of the budget.
  Also I think it should be pointed out again that you have to actually have a budget in order to cut anything from it.

  It is not just in California: In Minnesota right now on the state level there is proposed gun legislation that includes confiscation. If you read through MN HF 241 & HF 242 you will see what is on its way to your state, look at how it is written. They are doing this on a state level as it has not passed on a national level. If you want to keep your arms you have to register them, be accepted, pay a fee and renew every year and be subjected to home inspections as part of the registration. I have not seen any of the national talking heads discussing this and I have sent out tips, everyone needs to get involved, everyone.   Excellent letter.
  After reading through many of the comments and hoping that our Military (thank you) and Police (thank you too) will respond in a constitutional manner, I am reminded of a conversation I just had with a friend about the coming confiscation. We discussed what would be the Police and Military’s response when ordered to confiscate weapons held by law abiding citizens. While we both hoped that they would abide by their oath to follow the Constitution we started to game it out. The question came up; How will they respond when told that the law abiding citizens and gun owners are “terrorists”? How will our loved ones (military and peace officers) when placed in a different area (where they do not know anyone) respond to the order to arrest the “armed terrorist” who lives at 123 Our St., USA. Will they believe a fabricated dossier?
