  • Isn’t that interesting. WE have to take mere “bellicose words” seriously, but we tell Israel to show restraint as MISSILES (by the THOUSANDS) fall onto their streets and houses.

Groups after group, nation after nation have PROMISED and SWORN to “push Israel into the sea”, yet this administration lectures Israelis to “put themselves in the shoes of the Palestinians” and pressures them to compromise.

But let someone simply SAY something threatening to us and our bombers are in the air.

  • Exposing my child the lies of a guy in a red suit is not fair to my child. I am not liberal, and I am no longer christian. I believe what Scripture says; I follow the days which were ordained by the Creator. Dec 25 was not one of them; neither is the day where a bunny is so popular. YET my girl is forced to endure all the lies that surround those days and is made to feel left out cause she does not participate in the events which surround those days.

  • The reason the bible makes no sense is because what you have been TOLD about Scripture is in CONFLICT with what is actually written IN Scriptures. Preachers say, “Don’t believe ME; check what I say against Scripture.” That is EXACTLY what the Bereans did w/ Paul. Acts 17:11, the Bereans checked what Paul told them against “old testament”. Once they CONFIRMED that what Paul said was in the OT THEN they were willing to believe him. So ANYTHING Paul taught MUST be CONFIRMED by the OT.
You see, Scripture is the STANDARD. Theoretically, you should be able to let a person who is ignorant of church doctrine read Scripture and he would INDEPENDENTLY come up with church doctrine.
But that is not the case. Today, church doctrine CONFLICTS with Scripture.
The best example is the Sabbath.
Scripture tells us that the FATHER himself said that His people were to observe Sabbath ‘for all generations.”
So when Paul told the Bereans that the Sabbath was no longer to be observed, WHERE DID THE BEREANS FIND THAT IN THE OLD TESTAMENT?
How would a person, who is ONLY USING SCRIPTURE as his guide, come up with church on sunday, (instead of Sabbath) or christmas or easter (instead of the Feasts the Father created)? They cannot.
Those are things which were INVENTED by MAN /organized religion.
Today’s church REMOVED what the FATHER told us in Scripture, then INVENTED new things and then uses carefully selected verses out of Scripture to prove them.
That is wrong and that is why y

  • Sorry to disappoint you, EYEONU, but “people of faith” will not be “taking back the country”. I am not interested in living in a country run by jews, christains nor muslims. Check history; it has never worked for very long. I think you need to ready yourself for that.
The Israelites’ “problem” in egypt was NOT pharaoh. The solution was not a ‘better’ one. The solution did not appear until they were completely helpless so that they could not take the credit and so that the whole world could see who was (is) actually running the show. The only ‘government’ I want would involve a very special tent in a certain wilderness. I am pretty certain we will see something like that again one day.

  • Which god are we talking about? I would offer that most areas of the world believe in “A” god. Heck, don’t the people of India believe in HUNDREDS of gods. “G.O.D.” (from one source) is defined as
“A being conceived as the perfect, omnipotent, omniscient originator and ruler of the universe, the principal object of faith and worship in monotheistic religions.”
And so I would say, when referring your “principle object of faith”, you should use a name instead of a title or a job description. (IMO, the word is simply a job description)
Now (again – IN MY OPINION) I find FAR too much discrepancy between the “Jesus” described by christianity and the Yeshua described in the books called the new testament. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tddCNY6U77Y I would urge anyone who believes Scripture is authoritative to start to test church doctrine against the Tanakh (the old testament) like Paul (who was really Saul, another example of a name problem in the NT) did in Acts 17:11. If what you believe is not confirmed by the Tanakh, you need to put it on the shelf till more information is available. Just as important, if what you believe CONFLICTS with the Tanakh, you must sideline your belief until the conflict is resolved (and, sorry, you can’t simple decide to believe one side or the other. Scripture must confirm Scripture.
