How Many Businesses Have Announced Closings or Layoffs Since Obama Won A Second Term?
November 9, 2012 at 10:35am
“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years.”
― Alexis de Tocqueville
How prophetic and pathetic. I guess the Obama phones and food stamps made all the difference in Ohio, the Dream Act by fiat with the Hispanic community, and the free contraceptives. Oh, yeah and how could we forget the “free healthcare”, too! Woohoo! This is a victory of the takers over the makers. Pure and simple. The parasites will now finish off the host.
Blaze Analysis: The Catholic Vote Went to Obama Over Romney Despite Contraception & Religious Freedom Debates
November 8, 2012 at 11:58am
I am a practicing Catholic, and the fact that a majority of Catholics went for Obama disgusts me. I don’t understand why Catholics would support Obama despite his very blatant stances on: 1) abortion, 2) the HHS mandate, and 3) gay marriage. I chalk it up to: 1) many nonpracticing Catholics are in the sample; 2) the Church has been taken over by the social justice movement, and so many Catholics think (very erroneously in my opinion) that big government is next to Godliness; and 3) and I think this is the most important reason, the bishops expend a lot of energy protecting their 501 3(c) tax exempt status. This is insidious, because in doing so, most bishops (not all, there are a few courageous ones out there) do not permit preaching and teaching that in any way touches on the political. The shepherds of our churches have been coopted by the government. The insipid Voter Guides they pass out election after election basically say that Catholics can follow their own consciences and choose the candidates of their choice. They do say abortion is wrong, but that gets canceled out when they say we need to care for the poor, which for many Catholic means a big nanny-sized government. The 501 3(c) status has rendered many of our churches completely toothless – the moneychangers are in the temple. The Catholic Church is in desperate need of reform and renewal. Please pray for us.
Major Networks Call Ohio, Election for Obama

How prophetic and pathetic. We only have ourselves to blame. I guess the Obama phones and food stamps in Ohio made all the difference. What a wonderful country we are, with such principled citizens, and with honorable leadership. NOT!
Despite Family’s Conservative Leanings, Wal-Mart Heir Pumps $300K Into Liberal Super PAC
October 24, 2012 at 12:05am
I appreciate knowing this. The Walton heir is free to support his man with his profits, just as I am free to withhold my money from him by avoiding Walmart and Sam’s Club. Canceling my Sam’s Club membership tomorrow. What a traitor to Capitalism! I guess if many of us boycott Walmart, we can kill two birds with one stone: cutting potential Dem donation money, and cutting trade with China.
Lawrence O’Donnell Challenges Mitt Romney’s Son to a Fist Fight on MSNBC: ‘Anytime, Anywhere’
October 19, 2012 at 11:40am
I can’t believe this guy, O’Donnell, the washed up actor from the West Wing, is still hustling for MSLSD. I guess they let him out of his padded cell after the last psychotic break he had during the Bush-Kerry election when he suffered an on-the-air breakdown over the “Swift Boat” incident. I thought then O’Donnell was off his meds, and I can only assume the same is happening again. Gotta love all that MSLSD talent. It sure makes for great entertainment for the rest of us!
Candy Crowley: Romney Was ‘Right in the Main’ on Benghazi, But ‘Picked the Wrong Word’ in Debate
October 17, 2012 at 10:05am
Why do the Republicans go along with this debate crapola election after freakin’ election?! Why don’t we all just acknowledge that this debate moderation baloney CANNOT be done in an impartial way?! How about we just drop all pretenses and allow each side to choose a moderator from each side of the political spectrum and have a completely honest debate. They bring Chris Matthews to moderate, and we bring Charles Krauthammer, and each can ask questions of both candidates. The sooner we realize this cannot be done in an “impartial” way and we acknowledge our biases, the better! So from Martha, to Candy, and now freakin Bob Shieffer, it’s just too much!!! I can’t take the blatant shilling for Obama every single darn time (except for Jim Lehrer, which looks like to be the best moderator to date, and that’s because he didn’t really moderate). To make this fair, we should now insist we have a series of three debates now moderated by Rush, Sean, and Glenn.
Andrew Sullivan: Obama Still Declining, Biden Didn’t Help
October 15, 2012 at 4:03am
We all need to do what we can to ensure a fair and honest vote. Volunteer in your localities to become a poll watcher. It usually involves a small one or two hour training session, and then on Election Day you work inside your local precincts to observe that election officials follow the proper procedures. If there’s a problem, you’ll have a number to call to request a lawyer. This is the time, we the people, need to stand up and make sure our votes are counted, and that diluted by those who would commit fraud. If you’re interested in doing this, Google your locality, poll watcher, and GOP or Republican. You should then get the info you need to step forward. This is it folks. We need all hands on deck.
Have You Seen Obama’s New Bombastic Big Bird Ad? No, Really (UPDATED)
October 9, 2012 at 10:40am
This is an example that illustrates the absurdity that has become part and parcel of our governments’ financial decision-making process. Look folks, we are going to have to cut a ton of government spending if we’re going to stop the Titanic from sinking. Every single time something, even as stupid as Big Bird and the PBS subsidy is bought up, the hysterical screaming begins. This is how both our Democrats and Republicans have brought this country to our knees and indebted us to $16 trillion and counting by giving . They seem incapable of discerning the most basic differences between “Wants” vs “Needs”. Let’s start by eliminating all the wants. Big Bird is definitely a want in certain quarters. He needs to pay his own way! The sad thing is that to really stop this country from heading down the tubes, we ARE going to have to cut “needs”, too. Bottom line: We all (from one end of the political spectrum to the other) are going to have to give up our favorite things to get our country back on its feet. We need to stop hitting the adults in the room over the head every time they take a responsible stance on cutting some favorite cash cow, or cash bird as the case may be.
Billy Crystal Impersonates Romney on the ‘Late Show’ With Letterman: ‘Ask Me Whatever You Want’
October 7, 2012 at 8:03am
Why should Romney go on your show, Dave? You are nothing, but a mean-spirited, nasty, a-hole. Hey Letterman, I’d like to ask you an obvious question you probably could answer for yourself, if you weren’t so busy parroting stupid leftist propaganda: if Romney had not paid his taxes, don’t you think the IRS would auditing Romney up one side and down the other? Do you think the Chicago boys would not have seen to that already? Obama could very easily get rid of his opponent by getting the IRS involved, if Romney were truly the felon they’re accusing him of being, couldn’t they? I imagine they already checked that out, and it’s not possible. Certainly the Obama administration’s IRS is busy at working overtime auditing many of Obama’s adversaries/Romney supporters (just Google it folks)…unless of course you’re a friend (Geithner) and you cheat, then you get appointed to high office instead. The fact that Romney has not ever been and is not presently being audited ought to reveal to you the reality of the situation. Get your head our of your a**, Dave! Enjoy your plummeting ratings. I certainly will never watch your pathetic “show.”
Chris Matthews: Romney’s Decision to Run Against Obama ‘Arrogant’ & ‘Showed a Certain Kind of Disdain’
September 17, 2012 at 12:01pm
Chris Matthews shows arrogance and disdain every single time he’s on TV! He expects everyone to accept his asinine, idiotic assertions as rational, intelligent, objective commentary. Hey Chris, give us a little credit – we’re not morons out here! We know you’re full of it! Oh, that’s right….no one is really watching you or listening to you anyway. I think it’s the height of arrogance to continue airing a program that sucks as much as yours does, Chris! You are the ultimate boot-licking, sycophant of Obama and the left, Chris.
