  Flood ins. is not included in basic homeowners policy. Also, those not living in their homes due to job move, health reasons do not receive any FEMA or special funds to help with costs to rebuild.

  Christianity is based on a PERSONAL relationship with Jesus Christ, not legalism. Christ lived out his life in love and compassion for women and the poor, those most vulnerable in society. We are asked to emulate this love. The legalism inherent in religion, Jesus spoke aainst, oft referring to the Pharisees. Jesus was more hated the more good he did. In this same way, I see the similarity in Pres. Obama. Joel Olsteen preaches that those with greater obstacles (like people who criticize them for no logical reason) will have an even bigger purpose and promise. Who are you to accuse another Godly man? God does see our hearts; and he knows Obama’s is full of love, as Jesus commands. What is your heart condition? Not good judging from the hate spewed here. It is true; one day God will say, “I know them not”. And finally, there is separation of church and state. God bless our President Obama.

  I cannot locate the person whose comments illustrates such a true heart for God, stating that too harsh a message can crush the repentant and sorrowful, that at one point Joel was the only pastor to whom they could listen. His advice if Joel is not effective in blessing your Christian life, I find most wise. Move on, but never condemn. Encourage one another, for you know not what their journey has been and how another may become inspired to help many others, once they feel and understand the loving grace of a merciful Father. Whatever moves one to feel love for oneself and others has great benefit. I look forward to Joel’s sermons with enthusiasm and a thirst to know God more. I don’t see how this can be a bad thing. God bless you. May you always feel His agape love.

  Please look out for your neighbors and fellow citizens, whatever the color of their skin. When police/govt corruption went unpunished, America suffered a huge blow to its decency and humanity. And Obama is not behind this, either. Punish hate crimes for what they are, yes, even when committed by police. Allow citizens to film abuse and atrocities. It is the only way to prove the truth, when those who abuse power can easily lie. Change the law that an LEO’s word is law. More often than not, we are seeing where cops/sheriffs are willing to lie about anything to avoid prosecution and incarceration. It’s time to clean up America before we slide into an abyss of no return.
