Having spent my whole career in this space, not sure most people know how this 2.3% number actually impacts the bottom line.
First off it is based off gross sales.
In a large company, this work out to 15-20% of earnings, the equivalent of 50-100% or a large device company R&D budget. For the smaller company, like mine, it is roughly 30% of net profit or 50% of my personal income and a punishment of the pursuit of growth.
You think I’m hiring…not till next election. Cancelled all new hiring and told everyone to expect a rough few years.
Going to tough it out and sacrifice some personal life for the sake of keeping it going.
