    I guess it’s inevitable: the more influence you have the more enemies you make even when you are doing what is right and good. I get bitter sometimes but I find ou that if I continue to nurture bad feelings that it really just ruins my day, my week, etc. And none of this has to have any religious overtones – just love and serve one another. Learn to love your enemies and, as hard as it is, do good to those people that hate you and despitefully use you. Put differences in politics and religion aside and accept people for their differences (and vice versa) but keep in mind that you do have to stand for something (but with love).

    There are just too many bitter people that comment here (including me sometimes) and I know we can do better. I spend most of my time off the Internet and out of the comment sections because there are so many people here (and really all over the Internet) that argue for the sake of arguing. Several of those people have already posted above me.

    Everything is a conspiracy to many of you Blaze readers. One minute you’re praising her, the next minute you’re stabbing her in the back. It can’t be a simple answer with you; instead, you make comments like “I never trusted her” and you concoct this made-up dark and sinister plot by not taking her at her word. You backstab the people you exemplify. This is typical Bible Belt Evangelical Christian behavior.

    Won’t help anymore than “Freedom” helped Leanard Peltier.

    I voted for Mia last time and I will vote for her again!

    Read the comments at Media Matters or the YouTube comments under any of The Young Turks videos. I wish I could share your optimism but I think Americans are too indoctrinated to “wake up” as you say. Both sides can’t or refuse to see past politics so that’s why we continue to be so divided on issue after issue in this country.

    Quick example: Read about how the left has reacted to the Gosnell case and abortion. Most of them still do not see it as murder. Obama’s approval rating is irrelevant because many supporters of Socialism and Marxism still share a lot of his beliefs but they just think he either sold them old by being too radical or not radical enough. There’s nothing Obama (or anyone) can really do when you have at least one generation of Americans believing capitalism is evil.

    @KidCharlemagne, Whether I “sound like a liberal” to you doesn’t matter to me – I voted for Romney last year. I was pointing out that unfortunately Independents attract a lot of backwards hicks to their party.

    @A Call To Conscience, Apologies, maybe I went too far lumping supporters together. I’ll put it a different way: Ron Paul, as unrealistic as I believe he is, is much more sane and trustworthy than that timebomb of a man, Alex Jones.

    Anyways, I am critical of cops but I doubt I could have done better than this cop, scoring 7 for 8 (technically 8 for 8 if you count the hostage head shot) in a hostage situation. Like others have said, I think it is just a sad and unfortunate story for everyone except Dalton Smith.

    The Blaze could post a story about a baby bird flying for the first time and still people would post hateful comments against the baby bird, the nest, the mother bird, etc and lay out a detailed conspiracy-laced analysis about how it’s a false flag planted by our Marxist government to sell stolen children and suicide pills made by Jews to help the Muslim Brotherhood beat Al Qaeda.

    I actually like a lot of Kanye West’s music, specifically his “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” and “Graduation” albums. He definitely has talent but unfortunately his talent is matched only by his narcissistic ego. Yeah, he’s also racist and hypocritical but I don’t take him seriously. He’s dropped the n-word more times than we dropped bombs in the Vietnam War so I don’t find this controversial. I really don’t take people like him too seriously until they start showing interest in politics…..

    Yeah, there’s a lot of police hate on The Blaze and it’s not a coincidence that it is voiced by the same people that are followers of Alex Jones and Ron Paul. Personally, I think these individuals have a voice here only because of technological advances – such as the internet being able to reach in the most rural of areas where these zealots really don’t care about other people as a whole because they don’t interact with very many people face-to-face on a day-to-day basis. Fortunately, they barely have any political power aside from the local level in the insignificant small towns where white supremacist groups flourish, an overall hatred for Jews and especially Israel is carefully nurtured, where they blame their poverty on minorities, and hate any shape or form of police authority. Maybe I used too broad of a brush but there’s too many cop-hating revolutionary racists that actively post here.

    This is tragic. Bob Marley was a talented musician and he is STILL missed. RIP 1945-1981

    In fairness there are people who have also bought into the lie that the earth is only several thousand years old.

    Only a very small bit of justice was served. Honestly, I really cannot think of a punishment great enough for snipping babies’ spinal cords. But it reminds of Stanley Milgram’s “Obedience” tests on how people are capable of terrible things if there’s an authority figure to issue orders. Sickening.

    I admit it. I’m a racist: I only see black pages.

    Melissa, how about I give you my invisible white privilege backpack that’s full of white-only papers and passports instead? lol

  • May 12, 2013 at 11:17pm

    Here’s a question for Melissa Harris-Perry: If killing one rich white conservative resulted in 10,000 lower class people becoming upper middle class, then would she kill that one white rich conservative? If so, would she have as many rich white conservatives as it took killed if it made the collective population “equal” ?? I bet Melissa would go full-on Pol Pot if she had the chance.

    @TopFlightSecurity

    No worries, man. I would agree that MANY conservatives are just as FOCUSED ON RACE as progressives but I wouldn’t say MOST or ALL. But I’m convinced that we’d still find something to divide us even if we all were the same skin color – green-eyed vs blue-eyed or something like that.

    “I think this is another false flag. Even your most hardened gangstas wouldn’t shoot up a mothers day parade.”

    Why does every time a gun is fired, a bomb goes off, or a plane hits a building have to be a false flag?? There’s no conspiracy here. Why can’t it be as simple as innocent bystanders getting caught in crossfire for someone else? “Even your most hardened gangstas wouldn’t….” line is such BS. Remember a year or two ago when two thugs in Detroit got into an argument over who made the best Koolaid before opening fire on each other (missing each other but hitting bystanders)? There are no black helicopters, dude, you’re giving the government WAY too much credit.

  • May 12, 2013 at 8:22pm

    It’s not an increase in gun violence, just an increase on reporting gun violence.

  • May 11, 2013 at 5:59am

    @Ranger1965,

    Right on dude. Awesome post. I totally agree. I think most people commenting on here are mostly talk.

    I think what Prince Harry was awesome especially since our current administration continues to slap the Brits in the face repeatedly.
