Government starting early and hard......can we say Jade Helm early trading op?
More conditioning of our children to be terrified of everything. It is reprehensible they did not due a better job of informing the parents before hand., and it will get much worse.
nothing like train them to cower in a corner waiting to be murdered....makes it much easier for the gunman, them all lined up like that.
America is now the land of wuss victims
Why are these schools not learning from other schools who have tried the same type of drills? Are they all F-ing stupid??? Never mind, I just answered my own question....
“This training exercise will test the response and lock-down procedures of the school and response procedures for local 1st responders,” the email reportedly read.
Did they read the e-mail. To ass-u-me it was the usual notice certainly made an A$$ out of the lot.
Our Elementary school had air raid drills once a month. There was a big siren on a tall pole on school property that the whole town could hear.
And of course we were told it was only a drill and trained for the real thing.
Most of the old farts here that lived near a 'known enemy target' know exactly what I'm talking about.
Aubrey Truman, one of the students, later recalled some of her thoughts during the ordeal to her mother: “Am I going to die?” and “Will I ever see my parent’s again?”
As Aubrey “began to shake” and other students cowered in fear, smiling law enforcement entered the playground and told the students that everything that had just happened was only a drill.
Teaching children to be afraid of their shadows at an early age is how you make the next generation of liberals.
All this will do is plant a seed in the children's minds that they need government to come to their rescue and at this point there is not much else because anyone interfering by trying to be a hero ie a teacher is castigated or an employee who takes matters into his/her own hands is fired for saving lives. They cannot allow us to act on our own, this is not new but is getting more and more into our psyche on a day to day basis. This is unnecessary terror. All they need to do is run it like a fire drill. Sound the alarm and go to look down mode period. Do this but don't involve actors, bodies strewn about...kids cannot process this.
I used to run no notice fire/other drills in our house. This was after training.
Fire Fire Fire!
The Kids 1, 2, and 3 slide out of bed.
Kid 2 secure keys to unlock security grill, Kid 1 checks door for heat.
No heat move to nearest exit and exit house as per Movement SOP and move to RP. Follow RP SOP.
There is heat, what next PL.
Kid 2 Window open, grill unlocked.
Kid 2 out, Kid 1 secures Kid 3 passes him out window to Kid 2.
Kid 1 final scan of room and out window
Kid 2 leads out, Kid 3 in middle, Kid 1 rear security and Head Count.
Kids move to RP1, RP 1 not attainable move to RP2 etc etc.
If first at RP set up RP and wait for Parent 1 and 2.
They had 120 seconds to exit the building.
When they did go to school.
Kid 1 and 2 pick some good RP's, and lets build an Emergency Action Plan for Actions At Contact on the play ground.
My kids when 11 and 12 could change a tire on the family van at night in less than 10 minutes.
Get your kids out of public schools
You are right! What about POLICE STATE do people not understand.
You do realize that, along with temperance, many of the prohibitive laws on drugs and other vices were a product of progressive policies, right? As far as I know, he's still a prohibitionist. Until he corrects that, he's a progressive. The one thing that all progressives have in common is they all believe government can solve social problems, whether it's poverty or depravity.
Bill O'Reilly 'looks out for the folks" by sucking up to those who are screwing "the folks", like Barack Obama, just to be fair. Greta fell back into her liberal mode from her CNN days which I thought had been educated out of her on Fox News.
As a recent immigrant here's what I think - O'Reilly, Greta, Trump and Ingraham were all correct - Pamela Geller was egregious, incendiary, provocative, insulting, taunting, stupid and put others at risk.
The issue is "So what?" The Constitution PROTECTS her right to be all that just like it protects the crazed, hate-filled lunatics of the Westboro Baptist Church. If it did not protect them, then it would mean NOTHING.
The larger point that Geller made which was lost on the fence sitters like O'Reilly and Greta and Trump was how the radical Islamic fringe reacts, including their stooges like CAIR and assorted Democrat politicians and termites like Jon Stewart once again caught on the same side as the barbarians who kill members of Stewart's self-appointed constituency for cynical PR purposes, like women and gays.
Women and gays please note whose side Jon Stewart and the American left-wing media are really on - the savages who would happily kill and rape you if they had half a chance..
Just- you do realize the government has to make things illegal because it's wrong. Like murder. You can't do that. That's a basic case of regulating morality but it is valid
Geller only exposed the risk that already exists.
She exposed those who hate us, our liberty, and freedom.
There is nothing that will permanently appease them.
All I know, and you know it too, is that Geller had one and only one intention for offering a $10,000 prize for a "cartoon" and that was to provoke violence. That's the elephant in the room. She was trying to provoke violence. That was her only goal outside of making money . Please don't pretend she had any other motivation. such as the betterment of mankind or to love her neighbors in the Christian way. Her goal was invoke hatred and violence and outrage. That's her response to ISIS I guess. That's their program.
You know, like the speech that provokes anti-abortionists to murder doctors and nurses, she succeeded in that. She succeeded like the anti-government AM radio hosts led the terrorist Timothy McVeigh to kill 168 at a federal building, or the Sikh Temple murderer of six people, or like the murderer at the Holocaust museum, or like the man who sought mass murder at the Tides, or like the Christian Anders Brevick (someone who praised Geller for her beliefs and blog) who killed 77 people in one day.
Geller went to great lengths and cost to bring a couple of crazies out of the woodwork; she succeeded in that. just as others have before her. Yes, if you have a natinoal platform and enough money I imagine you or I could bring some crazy person over they edge. And then we could blame whatever offended group that person was a member of for the actions of the crazy person.
I'm not sure Christ approves your motivations, but you can make buck for sure.
@DLV, Prosecuting murderers, thieves, rapists, etc. is government protecting the property rights of individuals, as it should. The government throwing people in jail for prostitution, gambling, drugs, etc., accomplishes the opposite. It deprives people of self-ownership, so it's really not a good comparison.
ModProg - what's worse than pretending to be someone else online? Getting paid to be someone else online.
This is your brain...
This is your brain on daily talking points...
@ ProgressiveRegressive: Your argument is retarded. You are saying that people who do reprehensible things have no responsibility for their disgusting behavior, and we should place all of the blame on people like Rush Limbaugh and Pamela Geller, regardless of the fact that Limbaugh and Geller have never said anything to encouraged such behavior. If you ever spent a few minutes listening to either of them, you'd know better, and I'm rather certain that you do know better, but you just cannot help yourself.
Meanwhile, Islam DOES encourage murder and brutality against anyone who fails to submit to its dictates. Muslims are "offended" by drawings of Muhammad, not because of any "religious" reasons, but rather because they have placed a death-penalty against doing so. Law is a political matter--here in a country where we are SUPPOSED to have "separation of church and state."
You obviously have no problem living under religious dictates and fatwas, because "not offending Muslims" is something you must care deeply about (as opposed to everyone here who must be exposed to your idiotic collectivist trolling). You also obviously do not care whether a "religion" rules our actions, unless it involves a community displaying a nativity scene on Christmas.
The rest of us care about our rule of law, and Ms. Geller's act is a REVOLT against such assumed Muslim rule. People either do not get that fact, or they're pathetic dhimmis. Which one are you?

Probably already across the border…AKA the Mixican Welcome Center.
Anyone that advocates for the abridgment of my freedoms is scum.
Not sure. Maybe a plant or drone. He was not tazed.
He's an admirer of Cenk Uygar and Larry Lessig and he hates the Citizens United decision. This guy is a lefty.
Left or Right, his point is that all the money makes it hard to hear all the voices. The people that know how to "work it" take in the money, get the air time, and if elected are indebted to those who paid the way. I would rather see a lot less money be spent and to actually hear from everyone that wants to run.
Killery is set to raise $2.5b for 2016, and I am sure the R's will be right up there as well. That money does not come without strings.

Most of them, if not all, are voting for “free stuff”. Why work when you can get section 8, food stamps, cable, smartphone, free breakfast and lunch for your kids @ school and free insurance?
It’s akin to modern day slavery. When SHF they’ll be the ones left in the cold bc they haven’t contributed to society.
Cloward and Piven / Karl Marx all in one, with a side of “Reverened” Jeremiah Wright.
When the SHF anybody that lives in a city/suburbs will be screwed because they rely on people bringing them stuff such as food. It is not contributions to society that is the determining factor but where they live, unless you believe that we will protect people that make contributions to society.

Have you heard of Free Speech? Your comment sounds like something from the progressive left.

Firefighters need to be placed on 8 or 10 hour shifts. Enough of these 24+ hour shifts. Just like law enforcement, they need to be awake and alert. Also, it allows them to have a 2nd full time job, many as Firefighters for other jurisdictions, thus allowing them to retire with 2 plush pensions, provided by We the People.
Some of the firemen I know have very nice businesses because of the 24 on-48 off rotation.
FF's work 240 hours a month. That's 80 hours a month more than your recommendation of 8 or 10 hr shifts. Poont of fact, it means that they spend 80 hours more per month away from their families. Considering that fact I understand where your contention that they need be "awake and alert" comes from. The presumption that this "allows" them to retire with "2 plush pensions" provided by "We the people" is ridiculous. If they have a second job on their off days it's so they can provide for their families or, God forbid, improve their standard of living. It would be a rare situation if that firefighter worked that second job long enough to receive a second "plush" pension. It would be even more rare if that ension was tax payer funded. You're entitled to your opinion but I have to tell you it reads as bitterness and jealousy not fiscally responsible conservative.
3 pensions IF they were in the military prior........
Sure, and then YOUR costs will necessarily skyrocket for the cost of additional firefighters. See how this works in reality?
In your eyes, that cannot possibly be "small government". Sounds like sour grapes, from this retired LEO.
Sure, what, if their shift ends while fighting a fire and they all go back to the Fire Station, and let your home burn to the ground. Yes, you have a very dumb suggestion.

Don’t forget the fence jumper who made it inside the WH.
Not sure if that's the case ? The Senator will be asked much harder questions than she asked he will need to be ready as it will come from either party .
I don't know what she IS, but I think I know what she ISN"T...a Constitutional Conservative.
Guys, that was just Megyn doing what Megyn does…that’s her job to hit everyone with tough questions and she performs that well. Cruz passed her gauntlet with flying colors…she really did him a big favor as far as I could see. I agree, glennpill, they aren’t going to get any easier.
Would you rather she puff ball questions to him like the MSM does with Obama? I don’t want her or Fox to be in our back pocket. The news media needs to be independent. Lots of people criticize Fox but it seems hypocritical to me. By asking those questions he gets to answer all the critics.
The Duke sure isn't though!
When she was close to getting her own show, Megyn Kelly was always talking about her liberal NYC friends, how she supported gay marriage, gays adopting children, etc. She leans left on many issues. She tries to impress her liberal friends within the DC and East Coast bubble.
Ted should be prepared for these set-up questions by responding a bit harder. I don't want him sounding like Mitt Romney. I want him to first deny the reporter's premises in their questions. Then go on to answer why more laws are not good for this country.

Ditch Starbucks and drink local coffee. It’s better and generally less expensive.
