Hi Creation, just posted my response earlier in the string, love the AIG and the creation scientists. You hit in squarely on the head. It’s not the “scientific evidence” it’s our starting points, either we believe in a creator God, and His revelations, or not, and that defines our conclusions on the same “facts”. Most of the anti responders don’t take the time/effort to educate themselves, but just regurgitate “talking points” put forth by some Republican strategist. They don’t want to go against their closely held beliefs, so they close their minds to any contrasting information. Hold fast to the “Truth”.

The whole argument for Macro-evolution, life from non-life, is predicated on the belief in “billions of years”, to bring this outcome to completion. The author has put forth several “proofs” for his belief, but they are loosely detailed, and all have their fallacies with recent discoveries. Scientists have attempted to age the earth using radioisotope dating, this is a very good article on the problems with radio-dating: http://www.answersingenesis.org/articles/am/v5/n1/patterns#. Carbon-14 is used to date rock layers as well, but with a half-life of only 5,700 years, it should be completely missing in fossils found in rock layers dated at 500 million years. Unfortunately, Carbon-14 is detected in fossils, coal samples, diamonds, marble, natural gas. After 1 million years, all Carbon-14 should have decayed. Other evidences pointing to a young earth include: 1) seafloor sediment too thin, 2) recent discovery of “soft tissue” elements in a fossilized T Rex thigh bone (2010), collagen, RBCs, blood vessels, 3) Helium contained in radioactive rocks, this should have leaked out after 100,000 years, 4) salt concentration in the sea is much lower (1/70) than expected 5) “ancient” DNA in bacteria found to be the same as “modern” bacteria, extracted from salt rocks dated at 250 million years. In difference to the author, there have been no “transitional fossils” found in the geologic record, which you would expect given millions of years. We also share 50% DNA with b

  • Just finished reading “The Communist”, about Obumbles early “mentor”, Frank Marshall Davis. The two are mirror twins in their philosophy, words, belief systems. Davis was a card carrying member of CPUSA! The communists pull the strings, and use liberal/progressives as their “dupes”. We need to clean house this November.

  • Israel has become the “jewel” of the middle east, with expansive irrigated farm lands, either #1 or #2 in new product/process patents put forth, they announced both natural gas and now, oil finds off the coast, in an area adjacent to the ancient tribe of Asher. This will further incite their Arab (and Russian) neighbors, who need to keep the per barrel price of oil as high as possible. Isaiah 17 describes the destruction of Damascas, and Psalm 83 speaks of the countries of the “fertile cresent” coming togther and attacking Israel. This is not successful, which sets up the Russian and Iranian push to aniliate them in the final battle. Quite remarkable how all of this is following Biblical prophacy, someone must have known ahead of “time”, God Bless

  • The Barna Group survey is correct, and has been going on for several years. Go read the “reasons” for leaving, and the primary is the lack of Bible based teaching and the “compromise” they are seeing from the pulpit. One of the goals listed above states, “staying away from controversial religious issues”. That is what the church is for, taking God’s Word to the culture, not the other way around. The culture has infected so many churches today, biblical foundation has been drastically eroded.

  • God did not create “homosexuals”, sin entered the world through the disobedience of Adam and Eve. That has progressed thoughout history to present day. Civiliazations fall due to a wide range of immoral activities, “lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, and the pride of life”. Each one of these is present in our country, and escalating every day. This “lifestyle” is a choice, like everyone else.

  • What you have to remember any time someone mentions “wind power”, “sun panels”, etc, is that if the wind is not blowing, and the sun is not shinning, NO “energy” is produced. You still have to have sufficient “reserve” power capacity when these conditions exist. Power plants do not sit at idle, or can be started by flipping a switch. To replace our current coal and natural gas power production, we would have to have wind and solar “as far as the eye can see”.

  • One big reason is John Dewey, (1839-1952), who was the “father” of our modern educational system. He also was a Fabian Socialist, signer of the Humanist Manifesto 1, founding member of the ACLU. In 1928 he implemented the Karl Marx system of education in Russia, and them returned to teach at Columbia University, education department. One of his famous quotes, “There is no God and no soul. Hence there are no needs for the props of traditional religion…There is no room for fixed, natural law, or permanent moral absolutes.” Study the past and many of the 1900‘s influencers and the impact of their actions on today’s educational system. We are in a “world of hurt” going forward.

  • Wow, 13 years old and taking a spring break trip! My youngest daughter is on a mission trip with her choir group over their spring break. So much for what is important and a priority, can’t wait for November.
