I remember even as a young grade student asking myself why would a country go to war with such horror when slavery was basically everywhere to get rid of slavery only in some places because some people wouldn’t pick their own crops?

    The truth is it didn’t.

I saw a really great documentary on the Civil War last evening (can’t remember what network) which clearly presented that the use of slavery to solidify the union’s position towards the war was concocted for political reasons and a creation of Lincoln. The thought was that if people believed they were fighting for something even more basic than states rights against a rebellion that they would fight longer and harder. The Emancipation Proclamation freed only slaves in the southern states. Not in the north or border states. This was done to damage the economy in the south which would in turn damage their ability to make war, while protecting the northern economy at all cost. The border states such as Kentucky, Missouri, Delaware and Maryland were allowed to keep slavery intact. If Lincoln lost Kentucky and freed their slaves then he believed the war would be lost.

“I hope to have God on my side, but I must have Kentucky.”
    Abraham Lincoln

I think to lose Kentucky is nearly the same as to lose the whole game. Kentucky gone, we can not hold Missouri, nor, as I think, Maryland. These all against us, and the job on our hands is too large for us.
–September 22, 1861 Letter to Orville Browning

Slavery is and was abhorrent under any circumstance or for any reason or cause. But creating a false cause and attaching slavery to a rebellion of centralized government is grotesque at best.

All I ask is that those living in New York prior to all this crap to please stay there. You’ve failed to preserve your Liberty now just make sure you stay put in order not to pollute the waters of Liberty elsewhere with your weakness and failed call to action.

Get used to it warriors. The government you serve/served to preserve Freedom & Liberty to the People now basically can’t stand you or your ilk and only needs you to preserve it’s own power.

Junior here should go on a skiing trip with really, really, really, really, really, really dark sunglasses.

Practically all of this curriculum is forced full of information so that our children may grow to believe America is an awful place, our history is all bad, diversity of color and sex is everything, bigger-the-better government is great, and on and on and on.

Now we can’t have people locking themselves alone in bathrooms and letting the water overflow. Now can we?

I approach and end up at the same place regarding a produced product such as this piece.

    It’s a joke.

I’m stringently not going to ponder what else she shaved. The dog was enough.

So there needs to be an anti-anti-NRA organization then. I’ll just write two checks.

I’m sure it must be a simple typo. Instead of the CNN’s National Security Analyst writing “than” he must have meant “to”.

I hope Boston Children’s is not an evil place. But it does have quite a high number of evil people.

The tax system in America is a sick twisted pathetic joke. Everyone should pay only based on what they spend. The only tax collection system should be at the cash register.

It’s the only way to save the country and unleash our economic power like the world has never seen.

Nashville could use a Thor. Hope he takes his hammer and knocks a bunch of progressives around. They could use the bruise.
