  Skeptics, you seem rather cranky. You do realize people are joking, right? It’s a play on how the left immediately rushes to blame the weapons used (usually guns) rather than the people using them. As for playing the statistics game, gun control opposers have plenty of ammunition, so to speak. Murder and violent crime rates almost always go up after gun bans, etc etc. We’ve heard it all a million times before.

  Oh please, your sense. People get angry not because we are forced to question our stance but because it’s a disgusting thing to gloat over the death of a regular person. Your supposed “zing” only works if you are an idiot who thinks Lapierre was somehow implying that a good guy with a gun means 100% no chance of innocents dying. Rubing some brain cells together, most people will realize that’s not what was meant and that the proverbial good guy with a gun only increases the chances of a less tragic outcome. It doesn’t guarantee anything.

  Meteors, less than ten percent of incidents involving a citizen stopping a crime with a gun involve shots fired. You seem to be discounting those incidents entirely.

  Meteors, while you’re technically correct, it is very obvious that Rand means you cannot kill US citizens on American soil without imminent threat. I really can’t think of many examples of when a freaking drone strike would fall into that category. Police don’t call in an air strike from a jet, no matter how dangerous the perpetrators are, for a reason. Drone strikes are just somewhat more economical versions of air strikes but the principles are the same. But you know this. If you had any intellectual honesty you would be with us on this. I see this as one of the few issues where the left and right can stand together on.

  Meteors, it’s pretty hard to cut off or interrupt someone saying the only appropriate response to this question, which is “no.” Holder shouldn’t have to politically dance around it. That he felt the need to is disturbing. Let me ask you, why can’t we just get an unequivocal answer from anyone in the administration on what limitations there are on the use of drones on American citizens. It’s funny how you liberals are STILL bitching about the Patriot Act and yet are perfectly happy with the government using drones on American soil. Funny that.

  Gladly, Wow. The media hyper focusing on Romney’s 47% remark while ignoring Obama’s “bitter clinger” remark. The media ignoring Benghazi while focusing on whether Romney “jumped the gun” in speaking out about it. Various comments pressing the opinion that Obama looked Presidential during the Super storm Sandy incident as fact. Ignoring the “Transmit to Vladimir” hot mic moment, and the creepy implications of a president basically saying that he needs to pretend to be one thing for an election then he can change his stance. The media focusing on any gaff made by Romney or Ryan while utterly ignoring the long list of gaffs from Obama and especially Bidden. Candy Crawly (however that’s spelled) interdiction on Obama’s behalf during the debate then later admitting that Romney was right and that she just didn’t like the way Romney phrased it. Those are the instances of media bias that come to my mind instantly. Then there is the “tone projections” that a lot of Conservatives felt the media had, though that stuff is pretty tough to prove so I’ll leave that up for individuals to decide for themselves.

  Obama made his “bitter clinger” remark thinking he was behind proverbial closed doors. He was only caught because of a hot mic he didn’t think was on. It’s the same damn thing pretty much, only the media hyper focused on Romney’s while ignoring Obama’s.

  I’m calling bs on the people calling bs. They would not have been the same. When has the Republican party as a whole EVER supported major gun control legislation such as the assault weapons ban? You guys say it’s good to have an opposing party then spend all your time dividing and diminishing the only real opposition to the left that there is. Some world class genius thinking, that is.
