    zeon, he has 7.5 million listeners a day, 2.5 billion page views since he launched, read the comments above about the people who used to not question anything who now question everything. most importantly what Glenn has done is educate some who were willfully blind. Something you have learned can never be forcefully taken from you, if you have the will to retain the information.

    timberline, stop quoting God’s word out of context. Mathew 6:1-2 is part of :The Sermon on the Mount and is instruction to the people on how to avoid acting like the Pharisees. These were the hypocrites Jesus was warning about. Every instruction in the Sermon on the Mount was related to the behavior of the Pharisees and a warning to the people not to follow their model. The issue in those admonishments was the heart of the believer. You will never know Glenn’s heart. Nor will I or anyone on this site. Only God and Glenn knows his heart. Glenn has a huge following on this site and other media formats. If his gesture of giving encourages even 10,000 others to give then his gift is multiplied. Be very careful when using God’s word to make an errant point.

    @correctwing,
    you are obviously a troll. your comments are indistinguishable from an 8 year old screaming BUT what if…… The second amendment gives us the right to defend ourselves. It does not allow that the right is to be used for revenge because we disagree with someone’s viewpoint. We must beat the progressives with the ideas that made our Country what it is. Freedom, you know the freedom that allows you to spout ignorant suggestions such as shooting someone that you don’t agree with politically. Our current political situation may bring about serious choices as to what we are willing to do in order to preserve our liberties. The time has not come yet. The soapbox first. Then the ballot box. If those fail we may be required to pass the ammo box. But it hasn’t reached that point. There is still time to change the course of our nation. It will require that we all educate everyone we come in contact with of the errors of Progressivism. If we cannot do it without raging incoherently about shooting someone then we WILL have a serious problem. If the Progressives win the intellectual argument then we will be relegated to a Progressive nightmare society that will require that we do something that none of us look forward to.

    No offense intended here,but we should all begin to identify the “liberal” as what they really are. Progressives. The classic “Liberal” is closer to Libertarian/Conservative. You comment is dead-on accurate if we substitue the term “liberal” with Progressive. By the way Progressives are not limited to the leftist ideology either. The Progressives today see themselves as “We know better how to run things than you do” with total disregard for the individual rights of the People. Just look at the leadership in our Government for a clue as to whether or not they are progressive or conservative. Forget about the “D”, “R” or “I” following their name. Look at the possibilities and/or results of the legislation and regulations being put forth. If the results are more Government control of your everyday decisions regarding your “life, liberty and the pursuit fo happiness” you can bet your backside they are Progressive. Everyone on this site needs to give careful consideration to the upcaoming candidates for election in your State. If you get the least little whiff of Progessivism “THROW THEM OUT”.

    chet, after a quick search your assertion that these are Kennedy executive orders is accurate. However the bigger concern is the amount of power vested in the executive branch by these orders. Kennedy, although not a Progressive, did load the chamber for anyone following to “pull the trigger”. Your statement is accurate but the looming consequences are still frightening.

    @steve the realist and soybomb
    So let me get this right; income is income? his tax rates are lower than yours=unfair?He paid 13% when he only really owed 9%=dishonest? and this somehow makes him unqualified to serve as President,right?
    OK so somebody who”shovels crap” doesn’t qualify for a lower rates right? I assume that your reference to”shoveling crap” is a demeaning slur directed towards the working poor. Shame on you. The working poor have a tax benefit. You know; Earned income credit, oh don’t forget “childcare tax credit”. The crap shovelers as you call them have an effective tax rate approaching zero. Since income is income they should lose these tax benefits? Is this unfair because you pay 28.6%? If you indeed payed 28.6% you are in the elite range on income earners. He paid 13% when he could have paid 9%. I think this is honorable, not dishonest, and shows that his charitable giving was done out of a sense of community and charity since he did not claim the “benefit “of the deduction. How many deductions did you forego to benefit the Treasury?
    I would much prefer a President with a sense of community and charity than I would a selfish, narcicisstic,”take my money and give it to everybody else”,jug-eared progressive like the one we have in office now. Your comments seem to reflect a certain animosity directed at anyone who is currently doing better than you or who has a tax benefit that you don’t. That my friend is Envy. Sad really. Now STFU and go a

    1st to Idestroy: you’re a paulbot enough said.
    2nd encinom or is it monicne this month. are you talking about the “jobs destroyed at GST steel? let me bring you up to speed. GST was a going concern until the steel workers union shut the plant down with a strike for almost a year costing the company about $20 million in sales. Go ahead “google” GST shutdown and then comeback with some other baseless crap about “destroying jobs” . we can start with Staples. But that doesn’t fit your narrative so I don’t expect you to be honest about Romney’s record. Did he close some businesses? yes. However the list of going and growing businesses he managed to rescue far outweigh the ones that through necessity were closed. Geez get a clue. The people on this sight are a lot more informed than your narcissistic @$$ will ever admit. Go try over at huff and puff or mediamatters if you want to win an agrument because of cluelessness.

    sgtb,
    Geez ….Miss the point much. The story is not about the treatment. It’s a story about compassion of one human being for the needs of another human being. But you couldn’t resist showing off your your supposed superior knowledge of a subject that isn’t even relevant. How exactly is Mr Warner wasting his 20K? By offering some measure of hope to a person with out any alternatives? Re-read and try to grasp that she is not a candidate for transplant. Oh and your reference to embyronic stem cells and /or fetal stemcells is moronic. Re-read and learn that the treatment she is seeking DOES NOT use those types of cells. Open mouth, insert foot, chew vigorously. May God Bless Mr. Warner for his generosity!!!!!

    sealwifenyc,
    I’m just an ignorant redneck but, I do have 4 daughters, a wife of 36 years and a Mother. I assure you that the “womens issues” they are most concerned with have NOTHING to do with the Progressive/Democrat assertion of womens rights. They are all desparately trying to feed their families, battling 8-10% inflation in food prices,12-15% in clothing prices,doubling of gas prices,10% increases in healthcare insurance and they are facing looming additional increases in all aspects of day to day life from inflation brought on by QE1,QE2,Cash for Clunkers and our government ******* away billions on crony green energy crap sandwiches and failed banking policies started in the Carter administration and perpetuated through Clinton,Bush I and Bush II… My daughters all pay for their own contraception. Seems odd I know but they have this crazy idea about personal resposibility. Can’t imagine where they got that from.
    My mother (another woman by the way) is facing a 156% increase in Mediacre premiums that go in to effect in 2014 due to the abominable PACA passed by your Democrat/Progressive pukes when they had the reins of control. My mother would easily qualify for Food Stamps but refuses to do it. Something about personal responsibility. Wait a minute now I know where my kids got the idea.
    The real women’s issues are about a failing economy brought on by the failed crap sandwich Progressive policies. Take your blinders off and stop parroting Progressive talking

    I normally won’t feed the trolls but;
    You are seriously ignorant or foolish. Studies all over the education spectrum have shown that “homeschool pansies” as you so eloquently put it, test at higher level on College Entamce exams and SAT’s. Further studies show fewer incarcerations of “home schooled pansies”. I can’t really decide if you are wilfully ignorant or just foolish. Ignorance can be remedied with information. Foolishness can only be remedied by painful results of your foolishness. Which is it? ignorant? foolish? by the way in case you are lazy as well here’s the link:

    Everyone here needs to read this article. A very telling history of race and the political parties. This article is written from a purely historical perspective. Facts. Send this link to anyone that has ever said that any particular political party is racist. send to anyone you know that has a warped idea of who is racist.

    I have read with great interest your comments and arguments here with @joe1234 and I have come to the conclusion that even though you MAY be a phd candidate and you MAY possess some informtion superior to others you are nonetheless a narcissist. You can never be wrong. You can never accept anyone else’s information if it even remotely discounts your version of the truth.
    At the link is a list of symptoms you may find helpful. These are from the Mayo Clinic a real scientific community.

    @b-rad
    I hope I’m able to do this without going into a rant. Doubtful but I will try. You see it isn’t really about the institution of marriage per se. It is more about the institution of the family. Your points about straight vs gay in relation to the institution of marriage are indeed valid. Straight men and women betray their marriage daily. However the betrayal is not limited to straight couples. Your points about children are valid as well. My perspective about the “intentional” children without the committed mom and dad is a result of Government interference in the decisions of a man and woman whether or not to be married. The “nanny state” actually rewards the behavior. Married with children=fewer government benefits. By claiming not to know where the father is each additional child means additional benefits. This is intentional in order to destroy the family as we know it. A Progressives dream by the way. The gay marriage issue is another item in the Progressive grab bag to intentionally destroy the institution of Family. It is masqueraded as a “rights issue” but it is not. If the Progressives were really concerned only about rights then civil unions would resolve the issue. All the rights and benefits of a “married” couple but with a civil union they don’t get the recognition or validity they crave for their agenda to move forward. If you notice most of the arguments presented for or against gay marriage don’t talk about the detriment to the family.
