@ jells12 — I love when people quote a single verse and place all meaning on it by itself. As with most conversations, there is context. Try reading the whole conversation. Mathew 19:21 by itself is not the point — He saw the young mans heart and told him what he needed to do to be perfect. Because Jesus knew HIS heart, Jesus spoke to him for his understanding. Should Christians be generous and help those less fortunate — Yes. That young man already thought of himself as perfect. As far as the study for carbon ratio from 800,000 years til now. You might want to research the amount of false data that was used when conducting that study. There are other studies that counter that one. Again you need to look at context. One thing that is certain — the Earth’s climate changes. It does not matter if we are here or not. We are like a single cows fart in a whirlwind. Volcanoes dump far more carbon into the air. Plants also grow faster when CO2 is elevated. They then transform that CO2 into the oxygen we breathe. Keep this in mind above all else — oil came from the carbon that has always been here. We are not adding anything to this planet that was not already here. The true imbalance comes when we take from the planet and it never returns. Like spacecraft. You also need to remember we are coming out of an Ice Age — this means the planet is going into a warming phase. Heck — technically we are still in an ice age.

I do not throw my comments on the site much these days, but I feel compelled to do so because I see people trying to say Jesus was a Socialist and not a capitalist. You can’t have free will and adhere to the doctrines of Socialism, Communism, or Despotism. While I do not think God revolves around such earthly terms, we however do. Capitalism is much closer to free will as in free markets than the previously mentioned.

Jesus would ask for you to make the choices in your life and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Sorry to say to all those that think otherwise — that is Capitalism.

There are differing levels of business ownership. This is the part you both are missing. From My understanding this is a privately owned business. This means they have the right to conduct their business as they choose. Just as a private citizen has the right to choose what business they show patronage at.

There are LLC’s and Inc. that have differing laws that govern how they must behave to have certain legal protections and so forth.

You really need to learn what kind of business they are and the laws concerning the type of business.

Just like you have publicly traded companies on the stock exchanges verses privately traded business’s.

Depending on the laws that govern what kind of business they are depends on the rights they have chosen to keep or give up based on that choice.

I have a couple of questions for Keaton33 — what is the date on the stats you provided of the state and city muder rates?

Have you ever noticed how legislation takes one step here and push there?

I will not ever trust the government to do anything right. I trust myself to govern my own life. I do a far better job than any governement can. I do not need the government telling me how to live my life.
Maybe you should try living your own life and letting others live theirs.

She was acquitted of her crime people. In this county she would be done. Italy has chosen not to accept its own ruling in the case and bring her cas back to trial. I am going to go with she is innocent at this point.

For all those upset about the fall of gold and those making fun of people with Gold — Gold is not invested into to make money — It is invested into to protect the value of your money. Gold will always be worth something. Paper may not be worth more than the ability to wipe your butt with it.

If you don’t want to read the article then don’t. No one forced you to read it. Just because you do not find it interesting does not mean other people don’t. I work in IT and I thought it was an interesting little article.

This news sight has a broad spectrum of stories on it. So does all the other news outlets out there.

I think you need to adjust your facts just a little. He has admired Ron Paul for his small goveremnt position — yet disagrees with his foriegn policy.

Ron Paul supports are fanatical in their support — to the point f be blind to the flaws of the man they Worship — hmm kind of like the Obama worship that goes on.

Now is Beck Perfect no. No one is — but your post is not accurate in its evaluation. CNN was not entirely accurate either.

I do not understand why people are hating over Bale playing Moses. I personally think it is a good choice. He is a good actor that has the potential of being a great one. I really can’t think of anyone better at this point in time to play Moses.

Will the people ever realize this the best way to tax the middle class without actually raising taxes on the middle class and redistribute wealth.

Lets say you have worked for 10 years and are now making 22/hr –
If you raise minimum wage from 7.25 to 9.00 — you have effectively removed 1.75/hr from anyone that makes 22/hr. They after all are not getting a pay raise — yet the cost of everything is going to go up.
So in the end — the minimum wage earner gains no ground at all and those making above minimum wage get pulled down.

It lifts no one up — it only drags people down. It is like grading on a bell curve. Only the low end just stays the low end when all is said and done.

I guess if you love your country and its founding principles of liberty for all Americans — Then I guess in their warped perception — I hate.

To my brothers that support both Oath Keepers and the TEA party. I am with you until the last breath.

I guess when you love — its called hate by those that wish to control.

The actual truth that most occupy people will not admit is the Fact that over regulation and legal hussling is the cause. When you pass laws forcing companies to adhere to ridiculous environmental regulations, ‘fairness’ laws, labor rules, account requirements, and permits. The little guy trying to get on his feet can’t compete with the panel of lawyers the big companies have to navigate the loop holes or the grandfathering laws that are permited. Hence the little guy is sutdown before he gets started — even though his product or service maybe superior. This eliminates competetion and leads to established companies being able to continue even when they have a failing model. Then if they do start to fail — they know the government will say they are too big to fail and bail them out.

These are the realities for most who would love to start their own business — shut down before you even get started.

@Rick1954 — obviously you have not ever gone to the DrugeReport — it is an aggregate site for news. Such places as ABC,NBC,CBS,Politico, The HILL, NYT,etc etc etc. So attacking the Drudge is really unsupported.

Your hate of Fox News proves you do not watch it either and are basing your opinions on what others are telling you versus developing your own opinion. Please visit these places yourself and judge based on their content and not what you are told. Make up your own mind instead of being spoon feed your opinion.

And what state do you live in? Chances are the state you live in is the same. There are only a few states that actually pay more to the Fed than they take in.

  • February 21, 2013 at 8:15am

@Keaton333 — To think it is the responsibiliy of the Federal government to pass laws like this is exactly the problem and why we are soo in debt. These kind of laws are for your state and local governments to handle. The Federal Government is there to defend the nation and ensure the Constituion is upheld.

This thought that Government is the answer to all of humanities problem is the problem. I realize that goes against you wish to control everyones lives but that is what freedom is my friend.

I have been coming here since the site started. I have seen civil conversation change to down right mean comments.

To the Liberals that posted — This is not representative of the Tea Party regardless of what you are being told. The Tea Party does not stand for racial hate. It stands for limited government as was the intention of this Country’s founding. Your biggest government should be your local government, ie city/county. The State should be smaller than city/county but larger in scope than the Federal Government. The Federal Government should only make sure that the supreme law of the land is enforced — that is the Constitution.

To my Conservative family — Counter attack with principal — not hate. Use reason and fix it firmly in her seat. Use Common sense — I realize the use of it is not common. I realize it is hard to fight the urge to lash out in anger. Just remember these people have been taught that they are superior to common sense through their education. They just don’t understand that common sense trumps book knowledge.

Guys — I understand your frustration with the liberals that come on here and post. But please be somewhat respectful. Fight them with Facts — there is plenty of ammo to use in that department.

My prediction is as we get closer to the end of tax season — you will see the economy contract more as people see the IRS bill they get saddled with and were not expecting. I know I was floored with having to pay $1400 and nothing changed as far as what I made and the deductions or claims I make.

The only thing that changed was more parts of Obama Care came online.
