  • The Air Force’s “Active Shooter” situation training tells air force employees to hide, block doors, and if all else fails, to throw things at an active shooter. Every year when I undergo this mandatory online “training”, I wonder why the last resort isn’t to pull out my concealed weapon and shoot the active shooter? Why is any employer allowed to make employment conditional upon surrendering your Constitutional rights. Forcing teachers, or anyone for that matter, to surrender their constitutional right to bear arms as they cross the threshold into a public facility is a crime against the Constitution and against the citizens themselves. Gun control advocates who use instruments of power to disarm citizens are guilty of the innocent blood spilt by madmen who could have and would have been stopped much sooner had principals and teachers been armed.
I think any employer who disarms his employees as a condition of employment takes on himself the legal, ethical and moral responsibility to ensure that no active shooter can access the workplace. Of course that is impossible, and that is why nobody, state agencies included, should even consider the feckless policy of putting people into a position of vulnerability and defenselessness. It is not gun owners who are responsible for violence against disarmed teachers – it is those who disarm them and leave them defenseless.

  • This is a little anthill pretending to be a mountain. It is and was a non-event – the only threats that were made were likely from radical feminists who were trying to make a non-issue into an issue. The women who organized this need to have their heads examined. If you want to wear a professional pantsuit to church, go ahead, NOBODY would care; but pretending like it is a big deal and organizing it as some kind of feckless protest is a dishonest attack on the church because it incorrectly declares that women wearing pantsuits to church is a violation of policy (it is not!). This is nothing more than a handful of dishonest, unstable women with a chip on their shoulder. I’m being very honest here: if there were any women who wore pantsuits to church in the last few weeks, I wouldn’t have even noticed because it is such a non-issue.

  • The problem isn’t a lack of gun control – it is too much gun control. We’ve made it illegal for employees to carry weapons at work – we’ve forced them to be vulnerable to active shooters – we’ve disarmed responsible adult that would have protected children from a nutjob. The solution is to get the government off our backs, allow teachers, principals, secretaries, custodians to carry guns. You still might have nutjobs try to kill people, but they won’t be able to change their clip before an armed adult puts them down. Those who have created “gun free zones” in our schools and forcibly disarmed responsible adults who would have protected the children, have blood of innocents on their hands as a result of their pseudo-intellectual interference with individual rights to defend ourselves. Why do gun control nutjobs want to disarm the very people who would protect our children? Why do gun control nutjobs want to force innocent people to face armed criminals with nothing but staplers and pencils to defend themselves with?

  • We really need better gun control for situations like this.

  • What they did has nothing to do with their job. We must not allow political correctness to be a condition of employment. What this woman did was offensive. But do we really want to let employers terminate employees for opinions they hold or express in public? Political speech MUST be protected at all cost – otherwise, you’ll find that despots and tyrants are all to willing to destroy your lives if you are critical of the state’s sacred cows.

  • I wish I could remember who said it, but can’t. Nevertheless it needs repeating:
“If the Palestinians lay down their weapons, there will be peace. If Israel lays down its weapons, it will be the end of Israel. There is no moral equivalence here.”

  • Parasites who kill their hostess deserve their fate.

Unions have evolved into nothing more than labor monopolies that seek to extort higher than market value for its services. For the same reason that we don’t tolerate monopolies in any other sector, we should not tolerate them in the labor sector either.

Unions like to cry “greed” when companies shift production to lower cost locations; and they are partially correct: it is greed that drives jobs out of state or overseas. But, it is not corporate greed rather union greed. The fair market value of a service or commodity can only be determined and established in a rigorously competitive environment.

Extortion of higher than free-market prices by monopolization is immoral and should be illegal in any and all cases. The root cause of jobs being shipped elsewhere is the greed and entitlement mentality of the locals who think extortion instead of competition is an acceptable means to setting labor prices.

Labor is enraged when a corporation shifts production to more competitive sources; but a corporation must either reduce its operational costs to be in line with its competitors, or go out of business. When labor monopolies parasitically ,through extorted price structures, kill their hosts, they should die along with the dead host(ess).

  • If you can get a copy of Cleon Skousen’s book, “Fantastic Victory”, grab it and read it. It is an eyewitness account of the events leading up to the “palestinian problem” and proves that it is Israel’s islamic neighbors who initiated violence, enticed the Palestinian people to leave Israel and go to “temporary” settlements so that Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, et al, could destroy Israel and promised the Palestinians they would be able to inherit an Jew-free region. Israel pled for the Palestinians to stay put, and warned them that if they left, they would not be allowed back. Then, Israel destroyed Egypt’s Air Force, and won the war. Rather than absorb the Palestinians they had enticed into temporary camps, the islamic allied factions refused to follow thru. Every accommodation Israel makes with its bellicose neighbors is used by islamics to undermine Israel’s security. Israel’s expanded borders have always been taken in defensive warfare, and should NEVER have been returned. America has been wrong to ask them to accommodate their sworn mortal enemies. The only just solution is to allow Israel to take and keep territory anytime they are attacked across borders. Every time we pressure them to give back land, we encourage islamic aggression. Attacking Israel should have permanent consequences by allowing her to expand when attacked.

  • The majority of folks that voted for Mia and Obama/Biden were white folk too.

  • I don’t “believe in” Romney – but I do believe the Constitution was inspired and I believe that Romney ‘beliefs about the Constitution are honorable and sincere. I’m really hoping that Romney will push the federal camel back out of the tent of individual conscience.
