  If everything O said weren’t so darn-scary true, this would be really funny. If you couldn’t possibly imagine the guy pushing through universal health care a second time, the joke would be laughable. But it’s the “just kidding” trick he’s pulling here–defusing and detracting from the verity of his statements by making them sound laughable–and all the while what he’s saying is his playbook exactly. Makes those of us who find his values and policies abhorrent look humorless–a brilliant tactic, really.
