  I don’t know whether to laugh or cry about an American icon who survives 4 tours only to be murdered by a fellow veteran diagnosed with PTSD. This incident further primes the pump for legislators to prohibit ALL veterans diagnosed with Post-traumatic Stress (mental) Disorder from ever legally possessing weapons due to mental deficiency. If any of you vets admitted to any form of service-related stress to latch onto the VA teat you have effectively forever provided the government the medical justification needed to declare you mentally unfit to own or possess a firearm. But that will probably be moot before too long…

  Ranepowell, making possession of ______ illegal only creates a blackmarket opportunity to import weapons from, um, say MEXICO where our ATF has been exporting them for years. Criminals don’t care about your steenkeen badges, or laws, or the law-abiding citizens who actually wish to comply with the burdens you would impose on people who simply wish to protect themselves and their families from the psychotics who manage to get weapons anyway. Murder is illegal in nearly every state, but funny how we still have murders occuring every day, even in those having a death penalty. Laws mean nothing to the lawless.

  Jenny Lind, the judicial system is responsible for these tragic deaths for allowing someone who beat their own grandmother to death with a hammer to plead to a lessor included offense (manslaughter) and eventual release back to society. The timer was set by the DA who cut the deal with a homicidal maniac, and those poor firemen cashed the DA’s check. This isn’t about Bushmasters or bullets but about POS who cut deals and take a crap on the scales of justice. Life in prison would have prevented all of this…but I’m just armchair quarterbacking. CA will be enjoying the fruits of its judiciary labors as our overcrowded prisons are lanced and all the pus is allowed to run out on us.

  What a maroon (moron) you are. You scream about having the right to bear arms then scream even louder when the press expresses its right to publicize public information. I prefer that everyone know I am armed and trained to protect myself and my loved ones rather than being a random target. If someone breaks in and I shoot them in self-defense my attorney can cite this list as reasons the perp should have known not to break in but did anyway at his own peril. At a big box store in a major southwestern city I found it oddly comforting that there were others like me who were exercising their right to constitutionally carry pistols, concealed and open carry. It is time to man-up and quit boohooing about what liberals think and do. If you don’t like what your state allows, move to one of 50 others that might fit your preferences. I did.

  Yes, the seeds of homicidal hatred are planted early, perhaps before birth, e.g., alcohol fetal syndrome. crack babies, etc. If you not seen a 16-year old with cognitive disabilities on a caffinated 3-day Red Bull rage then you are in for a treat. Anger is merely symptomatic of the lack of unconditional positive regard these perpetrators have felt most of their lives. The media simply feeds upon and exploits the outcomes by glamorizing the quick and efficient ways to express one’s anger. If those from WW2 were the ‘greatest generation’ then we ‘baby boomers’ were the most indulged. And now our children and grandchildren are killing and abusing our great-grandchildren. The Allstate ad right next to this reply box says it best: Protect Yourself From Mayhem.

  I’m amused at how all the so-called “experts” are telling the world how to protect their children AFTER a psychotic gunman shoots his own mother in the head while laying in bed, then is welcomed onto school property so he can massacre women and children unimpeded. America, the police nor the military nor politicians can protect anyone but themselves. There is a lesson in that. Wake up and protect yourself, Americans! No metal detector will protect your children from pedophile teachers; no elaborate security system will protect your children from bullying; no ‘shelter in place’ drills will protect your children from becoming illiterate dropouts as they are being indoctrinated to a life of mediocrity by union thugs. Continue to abdicate your responsibilities to your children by turning them over to the care and keeping of the state while you work extra hours to buy that new flat screen, idiot.

  Emerging technologies and online curriculums have made B&M classrooms obsolete, and even a Dept. of Education commissioned study agrees that online home-based schooling is superior to archaic classroom instruction.

  If you don’t care or are not smart enough to either home school your own children or can afford to send them to private schools then the innocent will have to assume the risks of their parent’s misplaced trust in government to educate and protect. Good luck with that!
