  I wouldn’t necessarily blame Obama for this. The US is bankrolling Israel and the issue of the settlements has been extremely inflammatory. If it comes to more military confrontation, Obama will have to pay for it with money the country doesn’t have.

  Well done to Obama in this instance. A war between Israel and Iran isn’t in the best interests of anyone right now. Who is going to bankroll it? The US as usual. Benjamin Netanyahu is reckless and dangerous and needs to be restrained.

  Interesting viewpoint but generally, every weapon carrying Israeli has been trained to defend his/her homeland, the Israeli people and treat that weapon with the utmost respect and care. It is a different scenario.

  You can’t compare a well drilled and trained Israeli military member with a kid with mental problems stealing his mothers AR15 and carrying out a school massacre.   Well done to the police officers on handling this. Still, questions really need to be answered as to how this guy got his hands on the gun in the first place. If firearms aren’t banned, more background checks need to be carried out while weapons should be locked up securely when not in use. This kind of thing will happen over and over again if nothing is done.

  As some have pointed out, no amount of security will protect a school against a determined attacker. Even setting up security scanners…whats to stop the shooter producing his rifle and gunning down those manning the device? Not very much. The only way to solve this problem is to clamp down on gun ownership. Its a 200 year old element of the constitution totally out of touch with modern America.
