Before we can begin to solve all the problems of this country and the world (rising unemployment, excessive national debt, immigration, terrorism, food shortages, the price of gas, etc, etc, etc.) by all means lets stop whatever we are doing, on the left and the right, and answer the question “How old is the earth”. This whole thing makes me want to slap someone or throw up or both!!! Who gives a flying crap how old the earth is except someone that is trying to demonize or belittle someone else to further their agenda or make that person look stupid, ignorant, of uninformed? I would think our politicians have better things to do than to entertain sure questions. FOCUS, PEOPLE!! iS THIS REALLY A QUESTION THE AMERICAN PEOPLE GIVE A FLIP ABOUT???. I would rather have a politician answer the question “What are you doing to reduce unemployment” or “What are you doing to reduce the national debt”, or even “what have you done for America today”.

  • To all those of you who like to bash the Mormons (especially you, Etch) thank you so much for being so misinformed and spreading your lies and half truths, because everytime you do that, three or four people ( who read the Blaze) come to me, a Mormon, to find out the truth or to clarify a half truth. Your efforts to to discredit our church has done more good than harm, and has assisted greatly in spreading the word about The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. This Mormon thanks you from the bottom of my heart. The only sad thing about this whole situation is that you, Etch, will probably never know the truth, simply because you are too busy condemning others.

  • As I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for only 23 years, and will be the first to admit I don’t know everything there is to know about the history of the church, I find I really must respond to your comments. First, maybe, after meeting with Mitt Romney and actually finding out from an actual member of the church what we believe and practice, maybe Mr. Graham discovered that the LDS church is not a cult, that we are christians, and that we believe in all the basic christian gospel principles that other christians believe. Maybe, Etch, you could take that same path of enlightenment to discover the truth.
Second, at no time in the history of the church has it been the practice of not allowing people of color to attend services or worship. What you have confused this with is when the church first began allowing all worthy men to hold the priesthood, and while I could go into detail concerning the reason behind that decision I have a feeling I would be casting pearls,as it were.
Third, the so called “facts” you posted are at best half truths. Maybe you should do a little more research before you post something about which you obviously know very little.

  • While I will defend any Americans right to free speach as affored by our Constitution, I do not agree with or support this mans version of “making a political statement”. The film production was, in my opinion, completely irresponsible, unethical, and immoral. Did this guy really think there would be no consequences from this film? The films full intent was to ridicule and denegrade. Having said that, I don’t believe for a second that the riots were as a result of the film. They are in fact the result of the poor foriegn policy of the current administration that has empowered the more radical elements of Islam.

  • Any genealogist worth his or her salt can varify this. Having done a good bit of family research myself I can tell you it is extremely difficult to get back that far in anyones genealogy. That said, I find it just a bit hard to believe that this was just “discovered”. Convinient isn’t it, so close to election, and him on shakey ground with the black voter base? As so many have said, he still sucks as president and needs to be replaced.

  • We have only one choice in this election. We either vote for Romney or whoever you vote for will be a vote for Obama. Do you really hate Romney so much that you continue to cast doubt on the choice? I you convince even one person to not vote for Romney you should be seriously ashamed of yourself, Mutiny.

  • This coming from the Fast and Furious administration!!! Amazing!! Simply Amazing!! Can we all spell lip service? If any arms control law every actually could keep guns out of the hands of criminals I would be for it. But, alas, that isn’t going to happen.

  • If you knew your constitution you would know the following: 1) If a treaty is signed by the POTUS or the secretary of state it becomes law and part of the constitution unless the senate votes it down or the president resinds it. 2) in this case, if the treaty is signed during the lame duck session and the Harry Reed does not allow the treaty to be voted on, and then Obama is reelected we will be forced
to comply with the treaty. 3) one of the provisions of the ATT is the immediate inventory and registration of all weapons (guns) in the U.S. with the UN making the decision of who keeps what. So to answer your question, “Do I really think this treaty could override the Constitution?” Remember we are dealing with an organization that wants no weapons in the hands of civilians. So, YES, Obama through this treaty could with the help of the UN eliminate our second amendment rights. Wake up, Soileddove, you’re not in Kansas anymore. There are people and organizations the want to see America fall, and they don’t care what they have to do to make Her fall. And by the way, Obama is not your friend or a friend of America or the American people. Judge a tree by its fruits. No good fruit has come from the Obama tree nor will it ever.

  • What we are left with is a choice between socialism and the destruction of America, or capitalism and the freedom it provides. Your choice. Pick wisely.

  • @LEFTFIGHTER, Let’s see if I understand you correctly. You think it should be ok for people who are supposedly participating in a peaceful demonstration to carry clubs and hammers to bust out store and car windows and shields to protect themselves from police when those police try to enforce the law. Did I get that right? Why do people in a peaceful demonstration need clubs and hammers? Gee, all this time I have been thinking distruction of private property is a crime. Just in case you missed it, this is not a denial of second amendment rights. The second amendment provides for personal protection of life and property, not the right to destroy other peoples property.
