  • The Republican Presidential Field of 2016 (Updated)

    November 8, 2012 at 2:03pm

    In reply to Rob1231.

    @GhostOfJefferson
I voted Libertarian partially to send the Republican party a message, but mostly because I will never vote for a party who is hell bent on trampling on the Bill of Rights. The Reps are doomed if they don’t wake up to the fact that the vast majority of their base has had enough of their police state they are hell bent on building.

I also agree that the Reps need to lighten up on social issues, but only to a certain point. I can’t justify what I see as outright murder, nor can the majority of the party base, but then again you have buffoons like Aiken and Murdock making fools of us as well.

Perhaps the days of the Rep party are truly over and it may well be that the only way to credibly switch major platform issues is to simply join the Libertarians. They are closer to my ideology personally, and it would look mighty strange to the electorate to witness such major policy swings in the Rep party while still remaining believable to independents.

The question is, how on earth can you get the Reps to joins us?

Can you imagine how bad Obama would have looked in the public’s eyes if we had nominated Ron Paul instead of a Neo-Con? Imagine Obama in a debate over bank bailouts attempting to defend the Federal Reserve. Imagine Obama attempting to defend the Patriot act, the NDAA, and his beloved TSA goon squads.

All of you Paul bashers had better wake up, because the Republican party will never win another presidential election if you keep sending us RINOs.

  • You seem to have missed the last debate where Obama and Romney were falling all over themselves in virtual complete agreement. Romney was a NWO fraud from day one, and how any of you folks fell for his flip flopping snake oil is beyond me. You were offered two sides of the same coin, and you still think you had some kind of choice? Well, actually you did have a choice, but llenG and the Neo-Cons pulled the wool over your eyes. Next time around how about supporting someone who actually believes in Jefferson and Adams, rather than someone who invented Obamacare, loves the NDAA, and who supports the corrupt banking system?

  • You folks have it all wrong. Didn’t you listen to the last debate where both of the NWO tools we falling all over themselves in agreement? Obama is basically carrying out the Neo-Con foreign policies that Bush gave us. We had a chance to actually reverse this trend, but you folks mocked the only candidate we had that would actually reverse the direction we are heading. Ron Paul was right all along and nnelG did a great disservice to the cause of liberty when he turned on the only hope we had of actually taking back this nation. All of you who pushed Romney were actually fooled into a false choice. You foisted the guy upon us who invented Obamacare, was all for bailing out those who were “too big to fail”, and who would have continued Obama’s foreign policies and now you wonder how we lost? Next time around how about supporting someone who actually believes the words of Jefferson and Madison instead of another RINO? When will you folks learn?

  • Where are all the Ron Paul bashers today? If we make it to 2016, it will be no thanks to those of you who ridiculed him.

  • Actually, both Romney and Obama should be apologizing to the founding fathers for refusing to listen to their wisdom. The last thing they wanted was for us to become the worlds police force.

  • If there ever was proof that we are being offered 2 sides of the same coin….last night was it.

  • Actually, what we witnessed last night was living proof that both of them are globalists who share the same basic agenda…..as the sheeple say bbbaaahhhh!

    From YOUR source…

The Turkistan Islamic Party fighters have long established links to Al Qaida, and have already been deployed in ops throughout Central Asia and the Middle East. They are by all accounts, one tentacle in the Al Qaida international mercenary force used by western intelligence agencies including the CIA, MI6 and Mossad, in order to foment domestic unrest and create antagonism between nation-states. This latest incident in western China can be viewed as another such episode in what Zbigniew Brzezinski referred to as ‘The Grand Chessboard‘. Note also, that in this article the CIA’s very own Al Qaida media hang-out, Intel Center, is quoted as an expert source, further indication that this event was actually coordinated and run by western intel agencies.

WOW! So tell us, do you believe your own chosen source?

Parts of both Russia and China were traditionally Muslim, and these superpowers invaded their homelands. That has nothing to do with why these Muslims hate them as well….right?

  • @ERP

First off, who installed the Shaw of Iran in the first place? Hhhhmmmm.

How many bases do we have in Kuwait? Seriously?

Since you mention Afghanistan, do you really think Karzai would be there without our blessing?

Then take a look at the Saudi’s for Pete’s sake.

Of course there’s Yemem and Quatar.

How about the billions we gave to Egypt’s to prop up their dictator?

How about Jordan who we give all kinds of military goodies to?

Here’s a map that’s not even complete of all the bases we have surrounding Iran.

    http://war-in-middle-east.blogspot.com/2012/08/us-military-bases-in-middle-east-around.html

You would have to admit that foreign aid is also a form of propping up a regime, would you not?

Now tell us, what would you do if Iran started building up bases all around the state you live in, right after they invaded your neighboring state, with the full knowledge that they have propped up a dictator in your state in the recent past, and are threatening your state again? Would YOU take it, or would you be angry as all get out while doing all you could to stop them?
