I agree with everything in this article. My wife and I have been married 31 years, and I can tell you it was not the magical fate one-and-only that fairy tales purport. It was a commitment, every day, to give 100 percent to building the relationship. It was understanding that it really is possible for 2 imperfect people to come together and learn to be forgiving and grow with each other until we can truly say we are “One.” Is there a recipe for this? Yes. It is in 2 Corinthians 13. We do not live up to this standard daily, but what I can truly tell you is that in all our years of marriage, through the inevitable conflicts that will come, we have remained kind to one another. We have never belittled or name-called. We argue like adults and through the years have come to think of the other one first. We are painfully truthful with one another at all times. When we married, I was 21 and she was 18. We had 4 kids by the time we were in our late 20s. Are we selfless? No, but we strive for it at all times. As a young grandfather, I can tell you that I could not be the father today that I was at that age. I don’t have the energy any longer, and I definitely don’t have the patience. I am thankful to God for helping us through all the tough times, and still ask for His help daily. There is no secret to it other than two people making the decision to fulfill the other’s needs. We get better at it the longer we have been doing it. The bad times have only made us stronger.

I never want to second-guess an officer in a bad situation, but really??!

That’s beautiful. It’s good to see someone doing the fight for the love of the sport and not for ego or the “joy” of hurting someone. I wish we could see more of this and less of the big egos.

I used to laugh and say these guys have “Barney Fife” syndrome. It’s not so funny any more as “Barn” has a 12-gauge plastered in your face. Welcome to your Police State.

Someone please wipe that smug face off that liar Susan Rice. She gleefully stood on the corpses of our men while she lied for the Poser in Chief.

Got it! Just like I treat the speed limit as advisory, right?
Probably a knuckle dragging Tea Party extremist....
I am proud to be a TEA Party "extremist"....however, my knuckles don't drag.
Been flying the Gadsen on my front porch for the last 4 years myself...be proud of your Tea Party affiliation!!

One reason I left the teaching profession is because there are so many inane idiots in Administration at all levels. They are joined by the ever-expanding and bloated District Administration armies of leftist ideologues seeking to impose their world view on all students. Unfortunately, in many cases, the Principal is NOT your “pal.”

I have no problem with “Let there be light” being the Big Bang. I also have read that the laws of physics break down around the Big Bang. So, why could the laws of time not also break down? How about a billion years passing within the first few minutes? Time is relative, after all, and if it is affected by gravity, where would we find more gravity than in the first few seconds, minutes, hours of the expansion of the entire universe?

Makes more sense than the “aliens” theories I’ve been hearing.

But NBC says Russia is wonderful. Chris Matthews got a tingle up his leg when Putin spoke at the Olympics.
Frodo: Did you notice that bit of nostalgia with the modified Hammer and Sickle design ? And people wonder about Putin's inner desires .

While I don’t condone anything this guy did, what the ex did was just as bad. In fact, it may be worse, because she has destroyed his life. Her crowing about how wonderful she was, and trying to destroy what vestige he might or might not have of self-confidence is really ugly. People commit suicide over this kind of thing. Unfortunately, once it’s on the Internet it’s there forever. She had a change of heart, but too little, too late. Scary what we can do to others without meaning to.
