  Do not let the requirements to be a guard go without study. These men sign on with an oath of silence for one year. They sleep in a special barracks under the “tomb”. The only thing they read is restricted. They serve this as they serve their country. Their only recognition is a pen they wear for the rest of their career. They exemplify all that is good and decent about our military and this counrtry they serve. They, like all of the fallen who occupy this hallowed ground, make me humble beyond words. The next time someone says the last great generation, remind them there are still some who will not let our colors falls. God Bless the United States of America and the men and women who still proudly serve and will spend tonight in the weather, the dark, and in harms way.
