Hoosier not all veterans are nice guys. My ex-husband was an Army Ranger and field grade officer. It took 20 min for the doc to put me back together after my 1st child, he was there when the doc said my tear was worse than the kind that goes from one end to the other, this went to the side into muscle. My hip was also partially dislocated. The doc looked right at him and said I needed to let my body heal. He treated me like a dog as soon as we got home demanding as usual. A few months later I was 108# at 63″ he called me flabby! Now that our daughter are teenagers he lectures them for being fat, they wear size 4 & 6. Not all veterans are heroes. His men hated him too, he just managed to move around a lot. After leaving the Army he worked with a Vietnam vet who told him he would shoot him if they had been in combat together, that was at the same time I had enough. They may be tough on the battlefield but not at home. My girls have never missed the honor roll, I’m financially secure and I did it alone. I hate that my daughter’s are now having to deal with the same from him, when they were little even he knew this would happen. Hopefully it will make them stronger. Oh and years later I found out that when his 1st wife miscarried at 6 months he left her home alone so he could go out drinking with his buddies.

I’m grateful for many of the good men and women who serve our country honorably.

Read Ron Kessler ‘ s book The First Family Detail. What you say about his riding the train before becoming VP is true. Now he takes Air Force 2, etc back and forth every weekend when he could stay in DC or pay for the trips himself. Biden I terse red with Freedom of information requests on this matter, he knows he is guilty of wasting our $ while trying to look like regular Joe. Wasting our $ is stealing and he’s a hypocrite. He also takes personal trips on our dime to play golf with OBlunder

Is there an investigation about Biden traveling back and forth to his Delaware home every weekend? Those are personal trips with our tax $. The VP mansion in the DC area sounds like a nice place, we don’t need to foot the bill for his personal whims. CUT ALL STUPID SPENDING

Maybe the Pope should admit that dome children are allowed to suffer is because the US Catholic church dies not push for a secure boarder to end illegal immigration. The flood if illegal children sent to the US by their parents last year was a great opportunity for those children to be exploited. That is messed up

MLK would be saddened by the lack of personal responsibility and family values in too much of the black community. Acting like a thug and not speaking proper English holds people down but it is tolerated to not appear racist. MLK likely would not like all the attention his holiday receives, dome school systems don’t get Veterans day off but MLK day is a must for a day off. If they try to take MLK day away to adjust for a snow day there are protests. We worship at the altar of diversity rather than simply judging someone by the content of their character

Gov Walker or Perry are the only 2 mentioned in this article who might get serious about cutting spending. That is all that needs to be done, cut spending and get the government out of our lives as much as possible. No more taxes taken put of our paycheck. If by April 15 Americans had to write that check gov spending would go down. We need a reality show exposing how our $ is really wasted

Exactly. People go on about the Secret Service when they are protecting politicians who are cheating on their wives. Granted there may have been security risks in the SS incident, other than that their behavior was not much different than a lot of men (and women). Clinton has no respect for marriage and he lied under oath. I’m sure it’s not fun being married to Hillary but as a leader he should be held to higher standards.

Continuing to pray that God enters the hearts of many Islamic extremists and they see His way. Then have the courage and strength to share His message

PA should have to pay it all back immediately. Good lesson learned they need to be more careful doling out OUR $. The social workers or anyone else who allowed this to happen should lose their license and the illegals need one more gubment handout – a 1 way ticket out if the US.

Medicare and Medicaid conditioned us to believe health care us a right. It is a service. We waste billions in healthcare in many ways, patients are as much to blame as the system. If we were not paying taxes to support Medicare and Medicaid which would never be functional, most would be able to pay for their own care. They would also spend health care dollars more carefully and take better care of themselves. Personal responsibility.

When he was on office it seemed his TV speeches would occur when The Muppets were supposed to be on. Gonzo or The Swedish Chef would have made a better president

Praying the young man sees he has many positive things to contribute during his life. Glad the officer is ok. Stay well guys!

The last line of the story is classic, the White House needs a higher fence. LOL. Our border could use a high fence. Real leaders take care of their people 1st, then themselves. A virtue lost in DC decades ago

At least we can enjoy the comedy of the Clintons prancing around Iowa in flannel shirts in Iowa during the summer. Pretty funny how democrats running for president always do that. Not everyone in Iowa wears goofy flannel shirts and they definitely don’t do it in August.

Her mom agreed that she was ok with her daughter declining treatment. Unless the courts can prove the mom is not competent to make medical decisions the state should not be able to force this. Having cancer is a terrifying experience, they are adding to her trauma by putting her in state custody and forcing treatment.
We will see more of this. Example: healthcare professionals are basically forced to get a flu shot. Soon it will be more and more professions like teachers and day care. Eventually everyone because it’s good for the community and keeps cost down. We get used to that and then it will be something else…

It’s about power, convince a group that they are victims and if you promise to fight for them they will keep voting for you and try to destroy your political foes. Give that same group special privileges such as affirmative action or protection in the work place and they are addicted to your sweet little promises. There are tax breaks for women owned and minority owned businesses, IMO that is racist. A person should earn a contract or promotion based on their skills and achievement. When asked race on a form choose “other” or decline to answer.

Sounds like the DC puppet master has gained control over this congressman.

They leave the cold expensive states but they vote for the same policies they left. If they leave those states we should require a southern citizenship test LOL. We really don’t want to hear how great they do things up north. Charlotte is a perfect example of this, study our election results for the last 15 years and watch a few segments of our local news.
