Power corrupts. After a few years in office they think they are God. Another reason for term limits

What a delightful surprise for this young entrepreneur. Good for her getting out there and earning money at 14!

Can’t believe this has been going on for 2 weeks. These people need to get jobs.

And they often have a bunch of pets. I love animals too but if you can’t feed yourself and pay medical bills how can they afford 2 or 3 pets? I had a lady on welfare for years who said her 7 year old dog had never had tap water only bottled water. Wanted to scream. Another one on welfare for 10+ years when I wad caring for her on a Saturday said she was going home to watch the N F L ticket. Ugh. It is way too comfy to be poor

$5.4 million in grants. How many families who pay taxes did it take just to pay for those grants? The government needs to but out of our lives. Good health is all about personal responsibility and a good relationship with your doctor. You can’t legislate healthy living. I consult for a school on their menus and I work with a variety of patients each day on nutrition counseling. If the government really wants to make an impact there should be strict limits on how SNAP money is used. Really all of those programs like school nutrition, medicaid and food stamps should be discontinued. Let Americans take care of themselves and each other. If the local community wants to start a charitable program then excellent, they will do a much better job than the feds. The war on poverty is truly a war on the taxpayer, we are only creating dependence. Anyone either sd of is list ideas should spend a month volunteering in an urban ER, a month with WIC and a month in home health!

If that is the case then Judy Bonner needs to write a letter to the black sorority and fraternity that she is also “extremely disappointed” in them. Enough of blacks crying racism. They are the most racist group there is! We are past the time for special treatment of any group. No more black colleges, fraternity, sorority, and on and on and on. I am so tired of it, it only feeds the idea if racism and being a victim. No mire separating groups by race or any other special treatment group. Get over it!

Read the facts. “The crime rate is as low as it was when gas was 29 cents a gallon. These fears pop into our head” a child playing at the park is the best thing for them and if more parents would let them go to the park alone kids would have better physical and mental health. In our 24 7 news world we perceive that the world is more unsafe, it’s not. We have turned into a bunch of sissies. Most kids do not even know how to start up a game of kickball on their own anymore and they can’t play outdoor games for more than 10 minutes before someone is whining “that’s not fair” or “I want a do over”. Playing outside helps them grow up.

You are correct. This was going on in the US in the 90s. I worked for a large teaching hospital that had a contract with the prison system. Many of the prisoners converted to Islam in prison, most of them young black men. Wonder how many trolls on here will try to call me a racist. They were taking advantage of young men with anger issues, limited sense of control over their lives and with low education levels. I counseled patients on congestive heart failure and renal problems, much of that is diet instruction. These young men would tell me they can’t eat pork because of their religion, then ask if they could eat bacon. Seriously!

Too many Americans worship at the altar of “diversity” rather than simply seeing each other as fellow Americans. If you have worked in the military, healthcare or many large corporations you have likely been required to attend a diversity class or sensitivity training. People were all excited about the 1st black president. I could care less if I see the 1st female president, 1st Asian president, etc. Let’s just elect someone based on their character, experience and intelligence. Another problem is people wear a jersey for their team, voting a straight democrat ticket or republican ticket. Unfortunately many of the sheep blindly follow the democrat rhetoric even when it doesn’t make sense to them. They just do what the media tells them to do.

Why do these judges always give joint custody even in cases where the parent has been found guilty if domestic violence or documented substance abuse? When that happens their visits should be supervised at least until that person is proven to be stable if that is possible. Judge is very much to blame in this case

Conservative beliefs value all of the work that women do, at home and in the workplace. Young women who constantly hear liberal and feminist talking points in the media and school as they grow up become frustrated and unworthy. They struggle to see value in their work as a wife and mother, often they even resent it because of the difficulty in balancing career with family. Liberals love victim propaganda only because it gives them power. They do not care about those they claim that they are trying to help. Government programs to fight racisim, feminism, and poverty have not solved anything. As conservatives we believe that most of the time the individual will find in himself many wonderful things to contribute to the community around him. Get government out of the way and let them flourish! I have seen many on welfare that if they only believed in themselves and had the temporary pain of having to overcome their situation in life, would go on to do amazing things if only they would leave the welfare trap and victimization behind. Of course there are some who will never move ahead or who will always need assistance due to circumstances. Their family, neighbors, church and private charities will help them. Government does not help anyone, it is false hope and destructive to society.

Dr Dean Ornish wrote a great book about this in 1999 called Love and Survival. It talks about marriage and other forms of social support (not the government though). Always nice to see positive stories like this. Thanks Blaze!

Patients like this man are paying the difference for low reimbursement on Medicare and Medicaid. I wonder what % of self pay funds they actually receive. Not to mention layer upon layer of “management” in most hospitals that also drives up our cost. We have been stuck with a great deal of socialism in the medical field for a very long time. Medicare and Medicaid are simply coroporate welfare for hospitals and pharma companies. Many pharma reps tell their docs to “try out” the new meds on Medicaid patients.
