  • @G.E.R. -

I know it’s fun for those of you who don’t read the Bible and understand its context, to pick and choose this and that for your out of context quotations. What you evidently don’t understand is that the Old Testament includes moral, religious, and ceremonial laws. I know, minor details in your skewed sense of reality….What you also miss is Christ is the New Covenant….I know, just words in your eyes (unfortunately)

comically, your list left off the punishment for homosexuality….pick and choose :)

We can only pray that you’ll allow God and the Holy Spirit in. He’s ready and waiting, you need to recognize that….

  • Aren’t flies attracted to s***?

  • @DesertRose -

The left labels the right as “anti-semitic” to hide the factual history of their party, the DNC. It’s the DNC that voted against the Civil Rights Acts in the 1860s during Reconstruction (and GOP House and Senate that had to over-ride Johnson’s veto on several occassions).

It’s the DNC that prevented Eisenhower from passing the 1957 Civil Rights laws. They’ve merely changed the face of servitude with minorities by “enslaving” them with welfare and the belief in “entitlements.” It’s the Left that put a known KKK member on to SCOTUS (Hugo Black – FDR). It’s the Left that resegregated the military after being integrated for 50+ years (Woodrow Wilson).

Nazisim is a LEFT wing phenom (what part of “Socialist” and “Workers” are party platforms for the right?), as is Communism and Fascism – none of whom tolerated minorities, Jews, or intellectuals….

the narrative cannot be rewritten if based on the facts. however, we’ve allowed the left to coopt the educational system and rewrite facts to their liking….

  • Yet again, the Left’s narrative. How many times do we have to go back to the definition of Nazi – which is continually misconstrued as “right wing” due to its nationalism slant. National Socialist German Workers Party….Socialist and Workers are common monikers for the right. Nationalism is right wing? Then I supopse the Soviets were right wing too? Along with Mussolini and his Fascists?

I’m saddened that this is what is coming out of the Center. Then again, I believe Wes Clark used to run the Center. And, the prof is a civilian, which, the Academies have been trying over the years to add Civ Profs to the rolls. Outside of OKC, what “right wing, anti-federalist” group has perpetrated a terrorist crime?

We should be focused on our enemies, not labeling our fellow citizens who believe differently, as our enemies. Or enemy is, was, and will be politicized Islam. RINOs will want to say that is too harsh – that it is only militant Islam. What do you categorize Saudi Arabia? Please name me a peaceful Islamic country that isn’t committed to converting the world by words or sword? jordan is now peaceful b/c Israel laid the smack down in ’67. The balance of the ME are hotbeds for forming virulent islam…

We either have to turn our backs on Israel or call Islam the enemy. There is no middle path in the eyes of the Middle East. And if we turn our backs on Israel, we’re merely fulfilling the role as modern janissaries….

  • @Trigus – apparently you’ve missed all of the Nazi war crime trials. They all had a common defense – I was following lawful orders. I do believe all those people who forced their fellow Soviets in to the gulaps were also “following orders.” Much of the Khymer Rouge regime were “following orders.” Indeed, the ethos (at least, as of now) is still in place in this country for the time being to prevent those examples. however, don’t you think a progressive with a KNOWN platform of gun prohibition – don’t you think he’d be a little smarter than that? the uninformed American is like a frog in a pot of water on the stove. If you turn it up too quickly, he’ll jump out. but if you slowly “nudge” them, they’ll boil themselves to death…..

Don’t be so naive to think that your neighbors would be the ones enforcing an unlawful order….I’m fearing that this will be done under the guise of the UN, which, btw, is a horrible organization that has failed in every aspect of its charter….

  • @Devon – you missed the point of my post (which was, btw, half joking)….when you are confronted with the prospects of combat, a lot of things that seem so obvious become blurred and the realization that you aren’t in control and could quite possibly be ended instantaneously strikes you between the eyes….

like i said, not a lot of atheists in foxholes when receiving incoming arty….it changes your perspective on your beliefs :)

  • I’m aware of who Pat Tillman was. I will continue to stand by my statement….there are no atheists in foxholes….you find religion and God real quick…but, atheists can cling to their beliefs (or lack thereof) while on their comfy couch when not immediately confronted with the precipice of meeting their Maker….

  • I believe I previously read that he is allowed to graduate, but will be medically discharged from the army. So, his diploma will say US Military Academy on it….at least, that’s what’s running around the Academy graduate pages….

  • what is that supposed to mean (Pat Tillman)?

my point, you might convey your agnostic atheism or whatever. but, when your cards are called, chances are, you’ll be calling out to God…

  • to be honest, it’s not “cadets” are offended, but rather a couple of pogues wanting attention. As a graduate, I would say that WP has a very strong Christian following….not due to the official bureaucracy, but rather a large concentration of people with strong Christian beliefs, go-getters, leaders, etc., all found in a small geography. Christian/faith-based activities, to my knowledge, were not officially or financially supported by the Academy, but rather by private donations (the alumni database is quite extensive and has done well financially)….

and yet, we produce leaders of character who serve the common defense. if Christianity is an informal cornerstone in that mission, shouldn’t that be cherished?
