  60% of us are cowards? How about this numb nuts….driving is a privilege, not a right. Young teen, after putting his, and other innocent peoples lives at risk, because he chose to drive under the influence, will get a second chance….when he is 18.

  Good grief….I recognize several of you “posters”: what a bunch of hypocrites. In previous postings you support enforcing the rules; this time you say “make an exception of our ill-informed U.S. citizen”. The kid fessed up when the second border agent went to search in the trunk of his motorcycle seat: Oops, I forgot…I was tired…I was dehydrated….( insert any other lame excuse here ).

  The kid F’ed up. He is being detained and awaiting trial. Please explain what is wrong with this. We would do the same thing if a foreign national tried to “smuggle” a firearm into our country.

  I carry. I know when I am carrying. I know the laws related to carrying, and I comply because I understand the consequences for violating these laws. Ignorance is not a legal defense…in any country.

  @seneca264…you are the perfect example of what is wrong in our country…a single person, either literally or figuratively, stabbed you in the back which turned you into a bigot against the whole community that single person represents. Nice job! Your mother must be soooo proud of you.

  Enough already! You are either an American man, or an American woman. Your heritage could be African, Hispanic, German, etc. and this should be honored / respected; however, we are Americans. Have you ever heard any other nation address their citizens as African-Canadian? Hispanic-Italian? German-Japanese? No.
  So, when are we going to put an and to our segregationist language? We are Americans, and it is our combined heritages that made our nation great.

  Now, in an effort to ward off any snide replies, to my opening comments, from the transgendered community: There is not a tick box for “other” when you are asked to identify your gender…grow a pair and/or unbunch your panties…you are still an American.
