  The non religious reasons why many people do not support gay marriage is because the people pushing for gay rights want to make it forced acceptance. If you are not in support of gay marriage, you will be violating their civil rights, or equality, for just saying that you do not support or believe in gay marriage. That does have an effect on straight individuals. Another reason is the gay marriage supporters want to change laws that makes it mandatory that schools teach that gay marriage is acceptable and that public schools must teach about alternative lifestyles and families. That is exactly what has happened in Massachusetts schools, where parents have no say or control over what is being taught about homosexuality and gay marriage. Books are being purchased and placed in elementary, that tells about same sex marriages and families, by pro same sex marriage organizations. A recent lawsuit in the state of Utah required that such books must be placed in sight where children can see them. In the past, they were kept under the counter and when asked for they would be given to kids to read. Again, parents have no say in what their kids are being exposed to. What is being taught in public schools does have an effect on heterosexual marriages and families.

  Why does immigration need to be reformed? Just enforce the laws that are already in place. What Obama really wants is to open our borders so that illegal Mexicans, or anybody else who wants to cross the border illegally, can enter the country as they please. What should be reformed is making it less costly and easier for the good people who are trying to immigrate legally and are doing it the right way.
