As long as there is Sunday School teaching children about God, I don’t have a problem with an opposing point of view.
Any arguemnet against this book can also be argued against Youth ministries.
If there is trueth in Religion, there should be no concern about Atheism.

…anyway, This is a CAT 1 storm at best, 90 mph winds (gust maybe). Unless your house is made of straw, you have nothing to worry about.

When you can’t win the arguement, you discredit the arguer.
This is Debate 101.
Which is a much higher class than Big Al ever took in school, so he must have some great staffers.

If you have a career or a relationship, you don’t want a Facebook account, because soon you will only have one of these.
Yes there were dinosaurs and we don't need big ol' bones to prove it. They were mentioned in the Bible in the book of Job. But the world is not 5 billion years old, only a little over 6 thousand. It's kind of funny how written history from all over the world sprang up about 3,500 to 5,000 years ago. Which by the way coincides with the Bible. Geologist can't explain why there are what looks like older layers of earth on top of younger layers and why they look like the layers have been moved by a massive amount of water or huge flood of some kind. Maybe if they read their Bible they could figure it out. Did you know fossils can only be formed by denying them the thing that decompose them such as bugs, bacteria, and air, and one of the best way to do this is by covering them with a enough dirt that there are no bugs or bacteria. This rarely happens today. In fact the only fossils that are made today are not fossils but usually just frozen mountain climbers who begin to decompose as soon as they thaw out. Or they are people or animals that are buried in a landslide or flash flood. Yet there are billion of fossils found all over the world in huge fossil graveyards covering areas as large as 5 or 6 western states. I would bet these were preserved but The Flood. But don't worry, I only have anatomy, biology, geology, astronomy, chemistry, archeology, and math to back up the Bible, nothing really credible like unsubstantiated opinion.
You and Chris Matthews share the same mental disorder.
Homeschool: man created the concept of years, around the time of the beginning of Christianity. God didn't and still doesn't deal with years, so the earth being 6000 years old is a fallacy to begin with because it is a man made concept that was convenient at the time.

Oh geez, we have a few defensive Iphone users. It's just a damn phone and the purpose of these stupid surveys is to blimp up the heads of ignorant liberals the same way they convince them in their left leaning classes that they are so much more worldly and educated----then tell them how only that type would vote for Obama. It's junk science designed to manipulate the masses.

The only way to dig ourselves out of this mess is to deal with it. That starts in 2012:
And of course, GLENN IS RIGHT!
Are you really arguing that entrenching ourselves deeper in our reliance on fossil fuels is an adequate strategy? If anything, it is just a temporary splint to prop up a failing system. Following that line of logic will eventually lead to an even greater problem. Specifically, in addition to all of the economic woes that we are currently suffering, we will see the widespread poisoning of the American people due to current trends in shale mining.
And of course, you can't dig out of something, just deeper in

Why is Thomas Jefferson always mentioned as a slave holder when so many other Founding Fathers were slave holders as well?
I think they love to pounce on Jefferson because of his supposed relationship with Sally Hemmings. This is a 2 for 1 as far as the victimization media goes. In their minds, not only did Jefferson own slaves, but he also committed sexual harrassment by supposedly seducing and fathering a child with his "employee"--Ms. Hemmings. What better way to prove that we are "all created equal" than to have the man who wrote it prove that it is so by bedding down with his African-American slave...and also, what better way to prove that The Founding Fathers were all a bunch of evil rich white men who have created an evil, sexist country full of sexual harrassment and descrimination than to invoke the example set by our third President--a man whom I'm sure any feminist will tell you should have been tried for rape--since Ms. Hemmings was still his slave after the affair. Jefferson was an imperfect man of contradictions--as imperfect as any man or any of our founding fathers. And, for that matter, as imperfect as our Constitution (remember, it says "to create a MORE perfect union--not a perfect one). But, you must remember, in the mind of liberals and of the left-wing, there is no room for imperfection. Government is their God--and it must be cleansed and made perfect. In their minds, if we could expose the rapist that existed within our founders, then we could more easily tear down the country and start over--which is just what liberals want.
I think because he wrote the
Declaration of independence. All men
are created equal. I'm not being
sarcastic. Ive thought about that a lot.
He's the only one who is always ripped
Because he owned slaves . Thomas Jefferson owned people he has his face on money and a To joe: Jared has the Monument ! And his face in a moutain he was human just like MLK . What is problem with that
It was a normal fact of life to own slaves at that time in our history.
There have been reports of Jefferson's shadow family since 1802 when Thomas Callender printed his articles attacking or attesting to Jefferson's fathering children with Sally Hemmings.
Were Callender's stories the act of a diappointed office seeker in Jefferson's time, a muck raker paid by the opposition ( as Callender was paid obtusely by Jefferson prior to the falling out), or a reporter in search of the truth? Those who really know are long gone. We are left to decide for ourselves.
As for other founding fathers holding slaves, TJ was the only one who wrote ALL men are created equal. What many do not recognize is that he did include a section in the Declaration addressing slave holding. Please read the Declaration of Independence in his original hand.
Franklin, an ablolitionist, was most influential in getting the DOI passed. And he allowed that section to be removed in order to get the 13 colonies to form a unified front against Great Britian. We cannot know what all transpired to create a country, all we can do is work within their framework to make thing better.
