‘Hope Your Birthday Is a Blow Out!’: The Greeting Card That Has CAIR Enraged
May 13, 2013 at 3:24pm
Show me where the Constitution gives you the “right” to not be offended! The 1st Amendment allows us to offend by giving us the right to freedom of speech. Mister CAIR – do you deny mulsims have blown themselves up (not all of them – gawd that would be funny wouldn’t it – self destructing your entire population).
I think this card falls far short of yelling”FIRE” in a theater!

There is a difference between “beating your kid” and spanking a kid. When a two year old runs into road/traffic the “spanking” from a parent will have less detrimental effect than the bumper of a Dodge or the humiliation of a leash.
AK-47-Wielding Gunman Fires 37 Times at Shocked Cops During Routine Traffic Stop
May 6, 2013 at 9:59am
Nearly a month since the incident – and we are just hearing about it? By now it should include what his background was: i.e. what groups was he a member of, was he divorced, bankrupt, where did he buy the gun, was it owned legally, who are his friends and what are they saying, etc.?
Something doesn’t smell right with this story…… just sayin

Do Strict Gun Laws Really Stop Gun Crime?
April 24, 2013 at 10:00am
If guns aren’t a tool that can be used to protect the indivual using them – then why do the cops carry them?
Directed violence with a tool sufficient to stop random violence always stops random violence.

Why is a soap bubble shaped the way it is? Perhaps (assuming you subscribe to aliens being around) it has to do with gravity , modes of locomotion, etc. We have lots of animals with 2 to 4 legs – why. Almost all of our animals have heads, torsos, and legs…..those who have no legs – worms, snakes, fish, etc. would have a hard time manipulating tools….
It MAY be that our shape is not unique – but a precursor to development ……
Cellphone Took a Swim? Here’s How You Can Dry Your Water-Logged Electronic Devices
December 10, 2012 at 10:04am
Having teenage daughters — I have recovered their phones at least thrice. The low temp oven works well – open the door a couple of times over the drying period to help remove the water from in the oven – it will speed the transport of water out of the device. Rice works well – wrap the phone in a paper towel first to keep rice fines out of it. Shake or rotate the bag to move the driest rice towards the surface of the phone. Indicator dessicant works best – wrap the phone in a paper towel to keep the fines out. Shake the bag everyonce in a while to assist with the transport and keep the driest seive closest to the phone.
You can buy dessicant from lab supply websites for cheap. Put it in the oven to dry it and it can be reused.
Cellphone Took a Swim? Here’s How You Can Dry Your Water-Logged Electronic Devices

NO – a vacuum sealed bag will not help. You need the other molecules there for mass transport to take place. In fact, you would be better off if you could provide a dry stream of air to move through the device. Since that is hard to achieve in a home setting (in a lab use a nitrogen purge) your best bet is some sort of water magnet – a molecular sieve ( the baggies) or rice (very dry and wants to abosrb water and hold it). Now how does the water get from the deivce to the rice? Mass Transport from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration. Without air or a carrying gas it will move much slower. Also, heat speeds the equalibrium reaction.
A vacuum chamber – where you can keep removing the water that volitilizes – would work – since you continue to remove the water as it turns to a gas. Again , using a small purge would speed up that process also. That crazy mass transport thing again……

What? No mention of DuPont and the development of nylon! How was DuPont going to open the market for synthetic rope when hemp rope was available and cheap? They had to work with their friends in the Gov’t to make hemp illegal. There are numerous variations of the pot plant – many have very low levels of the active drug — but to open the market – they all had to be banned.

Ahh the benefits of inflation – the hidden tax that destroys the middle class. But, it will inflate the value of housing – resolving the housing crisis – you’ll just pay for it everywhere else.
Look at the cost of each of those items in GOLD. Then you will see that in many cases they have not risen (proof that it is the devaluing of the dollar – not greedy corporations) or went down (shining on the power of capitalism).
