This whole thing is stupid. I’m sorry but not making them a cake because they’re lesbian is stupid. It’s discrimination pure and simple. If I were a small business owner, there’s no way I’d be not taking business because of this. They got what they deserved. What if they decided they didn’t want to sell to overweight people because they don’t think fat people should eat cake. What about blacks or Hispanics or Asians? Where does the right to refuse business cross the line into discrimination. Sorry, I don’t like guys with tons of tattoos with big bone nose rings and those gigantic ear gauges so I’m not going to make them a cake. I don’t get it. Stubborn people sometimes get what they deserve.
Ever hear of the business phrase. " we reserve the RIGHT to serve and do business with who we please". A private business has the right to serve or not serve anyone at any time for any reason they want. This is just a case of in your face activism that is destroying the very fabric of what it is to American.
actually, whats stupid and asinine is that *couple* couldn't go to another bakery? Really simple, bvut since they are all butt hurt over not getting a cake and forcing once again there homosexual tendencies on other peoples views, they file a suit. Tells me they are a couple of butch bitches that are either to lazy to find another bakery, or just bullies to once again force feed there lifestyle on people who disagree. Civil rights has nothing to do with it. You talk about stubborn people, I guess forcing people to go against everything they have been raised to believe is wrong, isn't against there civil rights? Never had a problem with gays until the last few years, now all I can say is F*K em.
Exactly. Stubborn and stupid. They handled this completely wrong.
Discrimination = unalienable right
Did it ever occur to you, greg, that this couple sought a cake from this business because they knew they wouldn't serve them.

The definition of slavery is a little more broad than the one he’s assuming Palin is comparing it too. Look it up in the dictionary. Bashir is calling Palin the idiot?
Except glaciers don’t fit in the glass, the water is at one height and the glaciers stick up over it. Stick an icicle in there and foil it up. When the ice melts it’ll spill. I’m not a global warming guy but your analogy is flawed.

Read the entire article people. Private School = no rights. If the school wants him out, they can ask him to leave. Why didn’t someone just follow him to the car and make sure he put the gun there then let him back in? I believe in the schools right to ask the guy to leave but maybe a little common sense would have been better.

It was hilarious. He looks darker when he’s far away. The growl they kept playing over and over was great.

Since we have no video to judge, it’s tough to say but by their definition “The rules state there can be no excessive act of celebration, which includes raising the hands.” What is excessive? That means it’s open to a judges interpretation of what is and isn’t excessive. If it was a small gesture next to his head as they say, it’s not excessive. Sounds like someone looking for a reason to use the rules against someone.
You're right. It doesn't say "no" celebration. It says "excessive celebration." Tell me how a finger point is excessive? It's not like it was his middle finger. People need to get a grip!
The person said that raising his finger to God constituted taunting, Baloney! Taunting involves taking an act against your opponent in an effort to humiliate. Raising a finger and acknowledging God in no way diminishes your opponent.
I think, for that reason, there could be a legitimate legal challenge here. What is deemed "excessive" is arbitrary and subject to personal interpretation. If there are no real codified guidelines as to what constitutes an "excessive act of celebration," then I would think there can be no precedence for disqualification, whether or not it was religious expression.
That said, that such a rule even exists is absurd in and of itself, to me.

Everybody’s freaking out and don’t know any facts. Without seeing the policy everyone’s just jumping to conclusions. Sure, they should probably be able to wear patriotic shirts and they’ve changed the policy. It’s not like they refused and made a big deal out of it.
I had to stop my son this morning from wearing a church t-shirt to school. You’d think it would be allowed but their policy specifically states… collared shirts or t-shirts with school logo’s or school sports shirts etc. Pretty simple really. If you want to change policy, go for it but don’t make the teacher out to be some hater without more facts.
I agree. This school has a very well established school dress code and I think the teacher was just doing her job. I am glad the policy has been changed, though. I am glad the policy has strict guidelines. The kids are constantly trying to "bend" those rules too.

This is why I hate cops. These jagoffs spoil it for the good cops. It’s all about power. Take off the gun and badge and lets see who is on the ground. I got arrested for scratching the side of my head… disorderly conduct. Cop said I flipped him off while scratching my head. WOW

She must not be a parent. I know I’d do anything to survive and not leave my kids orphans. Put herself in that situation I bet she’d be wishing for a gun. You tell me someone starts beating her down and knows she’s going to be killed she’ll just sit there and take it? I doubt it.

These “studies” always crack me up. Losing weight and staying fit is simple but requires commitment. I’ve seen a couple good posts… eating every 2 hours is definitely good. I do it and it’s always worked for me. Pay attention to what you eat. A bag of Dorito’s isn’t a good choice.
Balanced diet, regular exercise and mixing it up is the key. Cavallo mentioned P90X. It’s awesome and a regular routine for me. One big reason, muscle confusion. One of the points of the study was that your body adapts. This is true so you can’t just walk every day or can’t just do the same routine. mix it up.. Bike, Walk, do some yoga, light weights. Whatever you can do.

RGIII has it right. He see’s himself as a person, not as a black man. Racism will only end when people stop categorizing themselves as different. Label yourself as different you’re setting yourself up to be treated different.

If you haven’t seen the movie Idiocracy… watch it. The population of ignorant people is growing by leaps and bounds. This isn’t just one sided either… it’s both sides. We just see mostly lefties on this site. Everyone tries to get the young vote… I suppose we could let them decide their own future but anyone who has kids knows they make foolish mistakes constantly. Our job as parents is to inform them so they make better choices and protect them from themselves. We’re not doing a good enough job.

Like Juan Hack Williams said the other night… Obama’s main goal is his legacy. You could tell by the look on his face after he said it he thought he shouldn’t have but it is what it is. Obama’s only goal is to make himself look good. He may decide to do some good for the country but not because the country needs it. It’s only for selfish reasons. We need people to serve the country, not themselves.

I’d be curious to know if anyone is walking away because of it. if not, who cares. Wear your Romney/Ryan t-shirt and hat with pride.

We need a couple guys from the military to go stand next to them… show them how insignificant they are.
We need to deport them as they are muslims engaged in Jihad.
The Black Panthers are an organization of muslims engaged in Jihad in an attempt to destroy the Constitution and our Bill of Rights and to replace them with Islam and Sharia.
Making fun of them is insufficient to the treason they openly commit. Deport them.

From the guy that was supposed to unite the country. Doesn’t sound much like that to me. We can’t afford 4 more years of pulling us apart. He needs to go.

It’s pretty easy to find counterfeit items from China. They’re everywhere. They put me out of business several years ago. eBay is full of fake items and they know it but do nothing about it. If you think you can buy a $100 bluetooth headset for $25 on eBay and it be real… you’re kidding yourself. I can find counterfeit stuff on ebay in less than 30 seconds.

I’m a conservative and think Jon Stewart is pretty funny. I don’t watch him much but I don’t get pissed when he makes fun of Republicans usually I’m too busy laughing. It’s pretty sad that some people use that as a source of news but it’s not meant to be news.
Those people are soooo uninformed though. I don’t understand how they can go through life like sheep. I watch multiple news sources and check for facts best I can on the internet. Sometimes it’s hard to find truth behind opinions.
I did listen to MSNBC off and on today on Sirius. Every time I tuned in… at least a dozen times stretched out over 9 hours they were on the same subject. Women’s rights, abortion and Richard Mourdock and how Romney is in trouble because he’s not switching his support to a different candidate in the state. This is not just Chris (thrill up my leg) Matthews but their actual “news” segments. No wonder their ratings are so low. I did hear 30 seconds of polling data but the rest was all abortion, contraception and Mourdock.
