Some people might say that this was not the right avenue for this kind of expression. A more appropriate avenue would have been one that could be quietly ignored. This student had his heart and mind in the right place. That teacher deserved those words. I hope that student marched straight down to the principal’s office and enlightened him. A teacher who is apathetic about her job reinforces apathy in the students. A teacher who is interested in the topic and devoted to teaching the students will create interest int he topic and a more attentive student.
Wow, the better version of that scene. I'll have to remember that title. Have used the other one for years.

You’d figure that the better tactic is to ignore the movie and hope that nobody sees it. I guess the makers of the movie can say to the teachers’ unions: “Thanks for the publicity.”

Ghost of Jefferson is right. If it were not for the fermentation of beer (or the invention of pasteurization, which was not discovered until much later), mankind would have had to maintain a hunter-gatherer lifestyle because of water pollution. Agriculture, livestock and settlements tend to spoil the water in the area but making beer out of it makes the water drinkable again. During the 100 years war, the English army had to retreat from a campaign they were winning because they were running out of wine.

Yeah, I was there. I don’t remember anybody calling themselves “Beckie”s. What is a “Beckie” anyways?
Just another attempt by the MSM to marginalize us. Think of it as a form of discrimination.
A "Beckie" is someone that weighs at least as much as Bob Beckel.
"Beckie" is a pejorative term used by leftist filth to describe people who agree with Glenn Beck.
Well I guess that makes me a Beckie!

Indeed, it was McCain who was not ready to be president. Hearing his powerful argument at the debates that sounded something like “I agree with everything Obama shaid.” every single time he tried to rebut Obama was shameful.

The attack stems from 3 guys and their hatred. While people can point to policies or movements as a motivating factor, the issue here is that these people committed a crime. When considering the crime, their motivation is nothing more than evidence to their misdeeds.

I can understand a law suit. Suing Warner Brothers is frivolous and should not even be considered. They just made the movie. Suing the theater is not frivolous. They have a “gun free zone” policy that put the patrons at risk. The case can be made that the shooter knew that this was a gun free zone and may have chosen this theater because of that policy.
Aurora is reported to have a law against carrying concealed within its borders, so the theater can't be blamed, if that's the case.

We also need to crack down on Vegemite coming in from Australia and New Zealand. Vegemite has folate (folic acid, a nutrient that Americans are seriously deficient in) and, being that it isn’t a bread, that makes Vegemite illegal in the United States.
Liquid detergent as well as the spray disinfectant.
I do give names to the food that I hunt!
How bout lots of raid and bug repellant with the following instructions: "aim at occupier spray liberally".

I believe it was Emperor Theodosius of the Byzantine Empire who would forge wills from his more wealthy subjects so that they would give all of their wealth to Theodosius. A classy move, indeed.

In truth, it would not surprise me if they prosecute the parents for allowing their child to obtain a firearm unsupervised. I’m glad that this turned out this way and I hope that the parents are not prosecuted.

I seem to remember Reagan trading a tax hike for spending cuts. As I recall, those spending cuts never materialized. I seriously doubt that the left made the bargain in good faith at all. Allen West should not ever suggest that he would consider raising any taxes. Anything he might bargain for in trade would not happen. Dishonesty is so bred into the left that they are predictable. They talk sweetly and think falsely. They believe their own lies and forget their promises so reliably that we can depend upon them to do the wrong thing every time.

I wonder what the child of Dan and his “husband” would look like. Natural law might suggest that such a child cannot exist. Marriage is the foundation of a family. Two men can share brotherhood in a family but two men would issue nothing forth and hence would have no family.

It’s not the coffee, it’s the espresso drinks…. you know, the ones that cost $4.

That is exactly the truth of it. They run their coffee makers too hot to save on beans, I think…. All I know is that it’s burnt off the tap. A couple of tricks to not burn your coffee: make it slowly and use an insulated carafe coffee maker (won’t heat the coffee on the pad, it holds the heat from the drip to keep it warm all day). I grind my own coffee but those two tricks alone will make even Folgers drinkable. Starbucks beans are pretty decent but they ruin it with their coffee machines. French presses are pretty good but the dregs will have grounds in it.
