  Um, yeah, no, that’s complete and utter nonsense. The FBI won’t somehow “magically” shut off access to the Internet–as this lying headline indicates–it’s the MALWARE that will do it on INFECTED computers. Honestly, do you people have any shame in trying to attract visitors with misleading nonsensical fear tactics? What’s scary is, based on the usual litany of fear-mongering responses posted here, it apparently works. Paranoid much? Paranoid. Much.

  “At the bottom of Reagan’s biography, for instance, the White House tried to plug the “Buffett Rule.” Did you know, it asks, that “In a June 28, 1985 speech Reagan called for a fairer tax code, one where a multi-millionaire did not have a lower tax rate than his secretary. Today, President Obama is calling for the same with the Buffett Rule.”

  First, how is this far-fetched? It’s actually correct. Prove that it’s not. Second, Reagan and are closer than you people are to Reagan, who didn’t taxes were unconstitutional, like you people do, apparently. (BTW: Section 1, Article 8 of the constitution calls for taxes for the”General Welfare” of the country. Look it up.) Third, these “Did you know?” blurbs are accurate. You don’t prove that they’re not. Snark is not an argument and has nothing to do with polemic. Address the substance, or continue to be marginal.

  Not a single comment focused on the issue–the Congresswoman’s completely disconnected vision of the world. One where when she went to school, it was relatively cheap. This is like Ed Meese saying that hunger doesn’t exist in America. Well, not *his* America, just like education is all about “toughing it out” for someone stuck in the ’70s. Ugh.

  1. Obamacare. What’s wrong with it (aside from mandate that I’m assuming you hate?). A lot of people actually like Obamacare (especially the can’t be turned down for pre-existing condition provisions).
  2. Wants to raise taxes. Well, qualified: wants to raise taxes on *millionnaires* and those who pay less than you and I do. There’s a difference. In fact, he continued Bush’s tax cuts in December 2010, but you knew that, right?
  3. Hates God. Now, this is just plain nonsense. He’s been a church-going man his entire adult life. This is shameful.
  4. No jobs. He’s tried to get jobs plans through Congress. But apparently the republicans aren’t interested. How would you like him to create jobs? Like, say, George Bush did?
  5. Giving tons of money to green companies only to have them go bankrupt (Solyndra). Um, this was one company, and it was a bad Idea–they should have done their homework.
  6. Beer summit. Trayvon Martin call out-race baiting. ??
  7. Bowing to Muslims and everyone else. How so?
  8. Eric Holder-Bill Ayers. Um.
  9. His and Michelles vacations-hypocracy. How so?
  10. OBAMACARE-IRS-STUDENT LOAN DEBAUCLE. How so?
  11. LIES. Which ones? Oil drilling?
  12. Cash for clunckers and other failures. This was successful.

  One question to all the people who hate Obama on this site: what, specifically, do you hate about him? I read a lot of comments about Obamanauts and how Obama is a jerk and all, but very few, if any, specifics. Aside from the birther issues and slogans, what * SPECIFIC policies* of Obama do you hate?

  Coming soon to a corporation near you. You think government employees are pre-disposed to avoiding work? You folks obviously haven’t worked in the private sector. People are people. Some work hard. Some are lazy. This applies equally in government as it does in corporations which, if you’ve ever worked in a large one, actually behaves *VERY* much like a massive bureaucracy. But that’s the kind of anecdotal truth that doesn’t get a lot of play around these digital parts…

  What I love of Allen West is that he’s one of the best weapons the Dems have. He just says random stuff, as if he’s receiving alien instructions through some sort of aluminum hat. Half of all democrats are communists. Truly hilarious. Here’s another statistic that I’m pretty sure is backed up by the evidence: 100% of Allen West is CrayZee.

  This was a pretty entertaining–if completely apocryphal read. To understand the right’s approach you polemics, you must understand first that they make only assertions. they do not use specifics or facts, but they *do* use a lot of hyperbolic adjectives to make their case while ignoring inconvenient facts. Let’s look at the assertion that obama is a socialist vs. the facts.

  ASSERTION: “One of Socialism’s tenets is demonization of the wealthy.” First, no, it isn’t a “tenet.”
  FACT: The UK is a socialist country. This is not arguable. It is headed by a conservative who decidedly does not demonize the wealthy. Second, per usual, you neglect to mention that Obama passed the Bush tax cuts in 2010–cuts that, again, inarguably, favor the wealthy.

  ASSERTION: “Raising taxes to outlandish levels…If Obama has his way we’ll all be paying tax rates in the range of 70% or higher.”
  FACT: Taxes are lower now than they have been in decades.
  FACT: Reagan raised taxes many times during his presidency–was his “hobby” raising taxes?
  FACT: Obama wants to raise taxes only on the wealthiest (see “Buffett rule,” which this “analysis” fails to mention) by a minimal amount–back, in fact, to levels where they were decades ago.
  FACT: The deficit, which ballooned under Bush requires additional revenues to address–revenues which the Bush tax cuts that Obama continued to contribute to the deficit.
  FACT: The disparity between the richest and the poorest is the highest i
