70% of Americans Think More Surveillance Cameras in Public Is a Good Idea
April 30, 2013 at 11:15pm
The main point that the surveillance nuts are missing, is that it is a largely ineffective method for stopping terrorist attacks. The only use they have is in the investigation after the fact, but even then a video in HD of a bomber planting the device would not necessarily catch the suspect.
In the Boston terror attack, authorities got lucky the younger brother had not disguised his appearance. A simple disguise would have rendered surveillance footage useless.
The civilian populace are foolish to hand over more authority to the state. The sacrifice of civil liberties will ultimately be a pointless one.
Who Are We Fighting in the War on Terror? I mean…Who Is the Enemy? Specifically.

Lameliberals, I could not help but see the irony of your statement In regards to our inability to constitutionally declare war with the consent of the American people.
When I think about “who” exactly we have declared war on, I can’t help but laugh at the notion that we declared a jihad on those that have committed to jihad and those who will commit to jihad in the future.
Who Are We Fighting in the War on Terror? I mean…Who Is the Enemy? Specifically.

Good article. I personally think we are In a sorry state when you leave us with the question “when is it okay to set aside the constitution?” I can’t tell if you are playing devils advocate and that last paragraph is an appeal to common sense or if you personally feel their are times when ignoring constitutional law is permissible.
The core of the issue lies within the AUMF and the NDAA’s provisions for defining this new kind of enemy that the executive branch has the power to throw the weight of the US Military against without the vote of congress.
They will need to be repealed or I fear we will be stuck asking these same asinine questions of when should it be legal to illegally break constitutional protections.
U.S. Senate Advances Internet Sales Tax Bill
April 25, 2013 at 2:48am
This is an attack on American small business owners and American consumers. The legislation is designed, not so much to generate revenue, but instead is an attack on small businesses that have been the thorn in the side of corporate retail giants.
There are products available on the Internet that cost half as much as what the corporate giants are able to charge. Businesses like Walmart and GNC have been lobbying for an Internet sale tax for years and dick Durbin is in their pocket.
Write your congressmen and tell your friends. We need to draw a line in the sand and this is the time and place to do it.
Conservative Editor Bill Kristol Rips ‘Fearmongering’ Rand Paul’s ‘Kookiness’: ‘Spokesman for the Code Pink Faction’ of the GOP
March 12, 2013 at 1:57pm
Tzion; Kerry is half Jewish.
Personally I don’t give a damn about their faith background or blood for that matter. The neocon policy of war for profit and ??????, their attempted destruction of the constitution, and their repeated attacks on civil liberties have made them the enemies of real conservatives and any constitution loving Americans.
THEBLAZE; change the headline from “conservative” to “neocon”

Was Rand Paul’s Filibuster a Turning Point for the Libertarian Movement?
March 9, 2013 at 1:44pm
It’s great to see the Romney/obama supporters out in full force to trash classical liberalism/libertarianism/constitutional conservatism. You neocons are all cut from the same cloth and have inherited the us imperialism/interventionism cause for the 21st century.
It was not difficult to guess which side you would stand on after the election. You are what beck called progressives. You have infiltrated the party and are trying to destroy anything that resembles freedom or liberty from America.
Well to hell with that! No more BS wars that line the pockets of military industrialists and kill our brave soldiers! No more of your police state! It won’t be long before the slowest thinking man will easily see you for what you are! You won’t be welcome outside of the democratic caucus and you can take John McCain and Lindsey Graham with you!
Bradley Manning Admits to Giving Classified Docs to WikiLeaks, Faces 20 Years in Prison
March 1, 2013 at 5:16pm
Gremlin, he weighed the risks and decided blowing the whistle on this massacre was worth the risk of life impisonment. That was his choice. A better America would agree that he was right to show us the truth.
I hope that more Americans can come to realize that the truth is more important than jingoism.

Watch the video deb. once you do, it won’t take long for you to come to our point of view. This incident was the worst kind of military cover up and manning exposed it. He is being punished because he bravely stepped on all the wrong toes.
Gilbertacct, I don’t know why the blaze isn’t stopping you from posting links to the video but you’re a bro to keep posting it. Keep fighting.

The blaze is refusing to allow me make a post to this article. It seems they want to control what opinions are expressed by the on there websites comments. The only comments getting through are ones that trash Manning.
After seeing the video for myself, I came to the conclusion that manning is a patriot to risk his freedom to expose this travesty to the American public. It’s no wonder the American public did not rise up in anger over the video. Most Americans have not even seen it!
