This Teen’s Invention Means You Could Charge Your Cellphone in Less Than 30 Seconds
May 20, 2013 at 3:11pm
I agree. Journalism is no longer practiced in the USA.
Others have celebrated the “ability” to charge an electric car in only 10 minutes, just like filling with gasoline! But if you figure 20 kW-hr being dumped on a relatively small package in 10 minutes it has to be delivered at the average rate of 120 kW-hr. 120 amps at 1000 volts. 500A at 240V. 2.5 times the maximum service wired to most houses. And they propose this is safe enough for humans to be near?

I am all for exactly the same background check for firearm purchase as for voting. Exactly the same. If you are not fit to own a firearm you are not fit to vote.
‘Taking Revisionist History Too Far’: Washington Post Fact-Checker Gives Obama ‘Four Pinocchios’ on Benghazi Claim
May 14, 2013 at 4:39pm
“Too far”? That implies there is an acceptable amount of revisionist history.

Clearly he has plenty of reason to be embarrassed. He contributed to the problem in voting Obama.

Is There a Scary Biometric ‘National ID System’ Tucked into the Immigration Bill?
May 10, 2013 at 3:37pm
I am all for a national ID card and/or biometrics. Am all for proof of ID at the poll. Am all for proof of ID for financial transactions. Since when does one have the “right” to rent an apartment without assurance to the property owner that you are not some known criminal rent-skipper?
Fully agree there is all sorts of potential for abuse, but anonymity is not a constitutional right.
Perhaps if we had a national ID system then people would not tolerate government growing as big as it has become. Little government can not abuse the way big can.
You don’t think Big Brother can track you now? Is your cell phone turned on? Yes, then he knows.

Clearly the only logical outcome of all this is that in addition to more gun laws in response to shootings for which new gun laws would have made no difference, we must also now have annual home inspections and census inventory to find missing and kidnapped persons. :-(
The Dow Just Made History (Again)
May 7, 2013 at 4:42pm
Its not really something to celebrate, its just the first symptom of our diluted monetary base.
