soybomb, you ask as if we are all the same person… we are not!!!

each person is different, some “night people” some “morning people”

all laws destroy the common bonds that we all build with each other

when the government steps between a company and their drivers, the company must begin the play angles to gain lost productivity. the government cannot force you to work or sleep. but these laws do just that.

next time you ask about laws and drivers, go to bed at 2 in the afternoon and stay there till 12 midnight, then work till 4 the next afternoon and dont complain.

thats what these laws do for drivers

and if the drivers dont like it, tough!!!

I BELIEVE THESE DEVICES WILL CAUSE DEATH AND DESTRUCTION…

in this world, a driver knows when he needs a nap, and he takes it.
in the new world, he is tracked and unable to stop because the damn recorder is tattling on his every move. if the customer is 2 hours away, and you have only 2 hours remaining by law, he will need to drive it no matter if he really needs a nap and no matter if he does not need to be to the customer for 4-5 hours.

i took a government mandated nap once, and i woke up so mad i couldnt see straight. no damn government can tell a man when to sleep and to work when he knows he needs to rest

it is criminal that they could get away with this, considering they know nothing of what is required by each individual driver. young ones dont have the stamina, some older ones need to stop and walk around every so often.

you cant cage a free man!!!

i just went to chipotle and had a burrito.
everyone was smiling
i had my hormone free steak
my plastic card of choice worked just fine

when i left, i saw the sattelite dish and the phone poles with wires that will all be useless in the world you are trying to envision. fear fear fear

you broke people look up to the ones who say they have “prepped for disaster”

well, i have too
because its good to show your kids that you arent an idiot living hand to mouth
we have food like in the old days, months worth on the shelves
we have perrenials like grapes, kiwis, apples, currants and berries
we have a lot of compost for our 20×30 raised bed garden
we have a fence, and years of firewood
lets not forget the ol’ BOOMSTICK

but marauders could drive you out in an hour
you are not an army
so relax folks
make friends with your nieghbors
start community groups to build cohesion in tough times

there’s plenty you can do cheaply or free

if you are filled with fear, you’ll make the wrong decision every time
relax, just a little extra goes a long way to build confidence in your capability
so, begin with just a little and listen to the little voice inside that guides you
forget the fear mongers, they only want to make themselves feel big by telling you to be scared

are we a free nation?

glad you brought up the shows.
i like some of joe’s hard stances, but honestly, spending tens and prolly hundreds of thousands to keep less than a few packs of cigarettes out of the hands of his “prisoners” seems a waste of money.
BUT, i am considering sending $100 to aid in the soetoro birth certificate investigation.
