The firearms companies were doing fine before this, believe me. Your logic is astounding. Short term profits would never make up for long term losses due to banned products they paid a lot of money to develop. Not to mention redesigning the firearms and their entire product lines to comply to ridiculous and ineffective new rules.

You ever feel like EVERYTHING is a conspiracy? Or that you and your friends can take on the US Military and win? I’d keep things like that to myself, it’s not going to be cool to sound crazy comin up here real soon. Patriotic is the new Crazy…haven’t you heard?

Just when I was about to stop reading this rag…my city makes the front page. Hi-larious! I saw this truck the other night parked in a fast food restaurant parking lot. I thought it was some sort of restaurant promotion. It definitely caught my eye but not enough to make me crash or anything like that. They shouldn’t have fined him though, just make him take it off or something…that sucks.
An 8000 watt generator in the back of his truck?! What a stupid redneck!
It is easy enough to get lights like this that run on 12 volts. No need for a generator. Just a new fuse block to run from an ignition switched 12v+ line. Or to the battery with a switch.
Sam has a good point. Ultrabright LED's would work better and the entire assembly could then be run off the electrical system in the truck. 1,000 LED's pulling 30 milliamps each = 30 amperes which is not much over both headlights on bright. 30 amperes times 14 volts = 420 watts. Bah humbug to his light display, people are killed on the road every day and distractions play a large part. This truck is a moving violation. If I were the cop I would write him one ticket for each non approved light unless it stays parked as merely a display. Running it while driving? That's 300 grand (at 1,000 lights times $300 per ticket) every time I stop you son. How much more danger does a loose large generator with a full fuel tank running bouncing around in the back add to the potential danger in an emergency situation? Bah humbug this guy needs to smell the roses not the sunflowers.
@ bloody sam... Apparently the "stupid redneck" knows something you don't. Getting that much light from the trucks alternator would not be possible unless he used high brightness LEDs that would cost hundreds and hundreds of dollars, and increase the install time by a factor of at least 4.
How's the view from that glass house?
Actually there is no need for LEDs. I run 3000 120V XMAS lights on my 1976 Chevy Blazer, using only a 1000W power inverter. Even with all of these lights, it only uses about 800W. There is no problem running out of power while driving, it is only when I come to a stop that I need to rev the engine a little bit to keep from pulling the battery voltage down to 10.5V which is where the power inverter shuts off.
I have been pulled over only once, because my vehicle "matched the description of a vehicle that was used to commit a crime". Because criminals always uses vehicles covered in XMAS lights.

Thanks I have not had a good laugh in a while. Was the cops name Barney?
SeekerEmerald you have not been buying them lately then. LED bars are cheap and the right seller in China will provide 1,000 LED'S (18,000 MCD) for 4 to 6 cents each, far brighter than a typical string of incandescent Christmas lights. I buy them all the time.

We’ll never know if it would have made a difference or not (well maybe we do), but maybe she just should have said, no we dont have any instead of get a job and stop roaming the streets. God Bless Her but I don’t think I would have talked liked that to hoodlums. You can’t talk to kids today like you used to. Isn’t that becoming obvious? Not sayin its right but use your head.

Very true. That’s what I think too. This is a godless society.

No it doesn’t. Then we’re not better than the murderers.

I was just kidding about it keeping me up at night, I just think that it should be worrisome that someone could become the president of the united states with a fake birth certificate…any country that lets that happen deserves what it gets

Also, Obama had an “easier to believe” message for the dumb masses. It’s easier to convince people that rich people have more money than they know what to do with because even someone that barely follows current events knows that banks and huge financial institutions usually make the news for corruption and everyone remembers Bernie Madoff. Trying to convince low information people that rich people have to be rich in order for everything to be alright didn’t fly, and is “hard to believe”.

I dont know know if the birth certificate is a fraud or not, but I tend to think not. What keeps me up at night is that if it is fraudulent or doctored in some way…how on earth did no one catch it beforehand. It just seems weird that you could run for the highest office in the world and win with a fake birth certificate? Seriously? Whose job is it to check these things? That is worrisome to me. Surely if it was that fake he wouldn’t have been allowed to run? Am I missing something? We should have zero faith in a country that would allow this to happen. That’s why it doesn’t matter who you vote for, we are doomed either way.
Why does it keep you up at night? Does it make a wink of difference in policy if Obama wasn't natural born?

None of this matters. It doesn’t matter who you voted for or who you wanted to win. It’s all an illusion. They think they’re smarter than us, and they think they know how our minds work better than we do. Politicians don’t care about you or this country. They are no better than you or I. They are flawed, some worse than others but still flawed. We have all the instructions we need to have a peaceful, productive society but we’ll never acheive it. We will be our own undoing.
If you want to win, you must offer an alternative. You didn't and you lost... again. Only a fool keeps doing the same thing, expecting a different result.
All anyone need do is focus on Chicago. It is their Achilles heel. Both Dems and GOP would be exposed. It is key to it all.

You nailed it. The American people are in a stupor. We have been conquered by the off shore banks. We are there slaves. Slaves will not be permitted to own weapons or defend themselves. May your chains rest lightly upon you.......

I think Boehner just likes to wear suits and be on television. It seems like he wants to have the title but not do any work. What does he do besides wear (really nice) suits and have press conferences and make television appearances? That is literally all it seems like he does.
