  I’m of the opinion that all men are created equal. Our government has made major mistakes in the past regarding our rights.. why oh why do certain demographics have to have the government legislate for them..they are just going to mess it up . I agree that people can be prejudiced and bigoted because of what they believe and that doesn’t make it right or wrong.so long as no one gets hurt.. no one ever said we have the right to be un-offended . People who are offended with one business will usually move on to one that suits them..it’s their right. But in the same token..you can’t make someone believe what you want them to. Tolerance is a two way street

  I’m Just saying the government should not be advocating on any of this otherwise it becomes a slippery slope as to what the government can get away with. Like I said in my original post and I stand by the fact that this is a catch 22

  So you are saying that if a person doesn’t want to cater an event for said gay couple or a Bridal store owner doesn’t wan’t to sell a cake or a minister won’t marry said gay couple because of their beliefs than that’s ok right?? No one is forcing them to do any thing they don’t want to do right? No one will demonize them and call them Homophobes and take them to court for not agreeing and exercising their religious beliefs right?? Because this has nothing to do with religion RIGHT?? This is not the reality I see.. sorry..

  ..If this were really about CIVIL Unions … But this is about “The Defense Of MARRIAGE Act” .. The Play is in the wording just like everything else this administration does…Get married by a civil servant if you want, It doesn’t matter either way to me .. And you put words in my mouth about Atheists .. stop it.. THIS is about control and demonization of the Church.. Gay people are just the latest tools to further the agenda. I don’t hear ANYONE chastising other religions for their beliefs on this subject…Why?? Hmmm??

  Marine Atheists are not looking to be accepted and married in a Church, they just don’t “Believe”… Gays want to be married in churches and want all to accept them regardless. Your comparing apples to oranges.

  Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof… This is what happens when we let the government control a religious RITE .. they make the rules they get to change the rules.. every one is so worried that Christianity will infringe on government… but it is government infringing on religion. If gay marriage is a civil RIGHT the church will be the scapegoat of discrimination and it will fall… planned pretty well huh? I weep for America

  I know, I followed him for a long time and liked him.. but every important vote that came along, he always seemed to do the opposite of what was right with an excuse and reason why. I just think I’m getting tired of trusting anyone of these guys and will play the wait and see approach..cuz we all know talk is cheap but actions speak volumes.
