At some point, the concept of “white privelege” will be beaten into our collective consciousness enough to be accepted as more than another anecdote based pet theory of paranoid black folks and white guilters. Such an abstract concept will never gain enough scientific data to render it “fact”, and yet we’ll accept it like it was.
But I do have personal experience with one particular privilege: “Old Guy Privilege”. 38 years ago, a traffic infraction would land me in the back of a squad car while the officers would find the .22 rifle and some old firecrackers in the trunk of my old Chevy Impala. Now I get pleasant conversations with the cops and a polite request to slow it down a bit.
That's the thing; I didn't "glean", I read. (Yes, I'm being a pedantic jerk. I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist)
What I read was yet another CONservative group whining about minorites standing up for themselves, and trembling with fear that they'll have to COMPETE with them instead of dismissing them. Standing up to them is a professor, who intelligently debunked their absurd claims of persecution by the left, and mockingly challenged the meatheads for whom intelligent debate would be pointless. "Do you even lift, bro? " is an Internet joke, and he clearly meant it as such. If you don't get it, the joke is partially on you.

If Weide is indeed a professor, he’s a disgrace to academia. What kind of teacher would allow himself to be pulled into a childish facebook fight with students from the school he “teaches” at? Does this guy get into fist fights with 12 year olds also?
Hopefully he’ll put his money where his mouth is and engage Ben Shapiro in debate. Far sharper minds than Weide have regretted it.

I’m going to plagiarize the hell out of that one.

Where does one get self defense statistics? Only when the trigger is pulled. Even the most conservative estimates have the brandishing of a firearm outnumbering all other instances several times over.
Holy-Moly, It’s literally “F-Bomb” ! If some fool actually spelled out what that word insinuates over a photograph a a dude getting a bull-whip colonoscopy from Jesus in a vat of urine and posted it on the side of a metropolitan transit bus, it would be deemed “art” in need of especially strong first amendment protection. A fine upon anyone who wastes a city officials time whining about this.
Maybe, if he’s on his best behavior in Hell, he’ll get to shove the pineapple up Hitler a time or two.

As ambitious and enjoyable as the Paul Schaffer/Will Lee rendition was, I would have to side with the Donna Summer sentiment of other posters. Although he did better than I thought he would, Will couldn’t touch Donna Summer in his prime, let alone at 61.

Why is the ‘Crat establishment not keeping her on a tighter leash? She’s a horrible spokesman for her causes and and some of her impromptu gibberish makes W look like Stephen Douglas.

Not only is it improper to
Incinuate that it would be a
Good thing to call an aging member of the house a
Genuinely despised word in the American psyche. but it would
Engender a greater polarity in the otherwise
Regular Joes that are able to live in harmony above this nonsense.

Mr. McDermott represents the district next to mine. Here in Washington, he’s affectionately referred to by the local pundits as “Baghdad Jim”.

I wouldn’t mind so much if she walked in and started doing that when I was at the next urinal, unless I looked over and her kosher frank was bigger than mine.

Soy – I’ll grant you that the soldier cited his service to add weight to his point, and that his service applied to things other than immediate defense of the homeland if you’ll grant me the fact that his actual point was totally valid.

I’ll grant you that he abused his service record to add credibility to his point and that the action he saw dealt with things other than an immediate threat to the homeland, if you’ll grant me that his actual point is no less credible because of it.

Being as the San Francisco ruling involves the digestive tract, does this mean that the two Dearborn stores must have all fists meet Halal requirements?

Granted, the consumer has the ultimate right to drive the market, why the hell would ANYONE with ANY sort of dietary restrictions even attempt to eat at McDonalds?
January 22, 2013 at 3:17pm
McDonalds being a taxpayer does not render it an agent of the state. It’s actions have no bearing on protecting religion from state bias. Where it may be a little sticky here is the courts assigning monetary value to having one’s religious sensibilities offended. Forget it though, if a precedent for the amount has been set in a previous secular case or the court was following a guideline.
