Easy Easy Easy solution to this problem. No tax exempt status for anybody (churches, organizations, etc, none, nada). Eliminated corporate taxation across the board. Churches then incorporate. Implement a flat tax on individual income or a consumption tax such as the fair tax. Establish a poverty level where neither alternative above applies. Everything dollar made ABOVE that poverty level is taxed at that same rate or the fair tax solution of a rebate to compensate for spending up to that amount. Then, last but not least, disband the IRS. All you need for the above is a group of accountants and a computer or two. Done. Done. Done. Talk about an economy that would take off and make everybody w/ a bit of drive relatively well off…THAT would do it.

the lottery, like gambling, is a blight on society. how can anyone claim otherwise when the entire reason they exist is that the government doesn’t steal enough money to begin with, therefore, lets institute a state lottery game. the lottery reduces people to just short of a member of the zombie apocalypse. I have never bought a ticket. I shall never buy a ticket. Pure Evil!

Benghazi, IRS, FastnFurious, EPA, AP…There are only 2 or 3 possibilities left here. One, Obama is an incompetent boob and has no clue what he’s doing or any of his minions are doing. Two, he’s a liar and ordered or knew about every last one of these. Three, he golfs, plays basketball, and uses a teleprompter while his handlers are doing all of this. The only option here is that either he’s impeached and removed for #2 or his entire staff and top agency officials are tried and jailed for #1 and/or #3 and he gets a whole new group to clean this up with oversight from the House (GOP).

Care to elaborate on that with some of your great examples of civilized society? can’t wait for you to float the homogenous Scandinavian societies or the homogenous EU models or the homogenous Canadian model that have ‘worked’ (and i use that term loosely) thus far, albeit at sinful taxation levels, massive gun control, and arguably decent health care, rampant racism toward immigrants, and with a fraction of the population of the US to deal with.

if the next level of ‘civilized society’ is one where you envision murdering 100 million Americans in an effort to bring it into being, then I suppose you will enjoy your new ‘civilized society’ w/o those people (most of which are the producers)…because I guarantee you, you won’t usher it in with those 100 million Americans still alive. Some or all of those folks will refused (to death) to live under a socialist government, economy…regardless of how well run it might be. Once they are gone, most of the freeloaders left will starve since there won’t be anyone generating a GDP worth a flip. Enjoy your heterogeneous 3rd world socialism when it arrives.

not exactly. not knocking your training and such. a shotgun is by far better than a handgun. but its not point and shoot. you still have to hit your target and at SD distances in the home, it’s not that much different than a handgun. people erroneously believe they can bring it to their hip w/ little training and it’s gonna magically find their intended target and vaporize them. not so as i’m sure you are aware.

personally, i’d rather have my wife or kid raise something with less recoil and less likelihood of punching thru my house and into a neighbors house. ballistics tests done time and time again indicate that is NOT a handgun and NOT a shotgun with defense slugs or defense sized buckshot. the ballistics tests thru walls is proved time and time again that the choice should be a fast, light, long round that will tumble upon hitting a barrier or person. that’s the only way to stop one of these rounds and avoid pumping a round through a couple of homes on your block.

not even close to correct Bill, trust me. a shotgun, loaded with anything self defense, is just as over penetrating as a handgun. Self defense shotgun ammo is basically a bunch of 9mm/.38 rounds in one shot. an AR on the other hand, in an urban environment or a neighborhood, has a round that will tumble upon impact with sheet rock, wood floor, a person, etc due to the ballistics and velocity combination. it will penetrate FAR less than a handgun round, shotgun slug, or shotgun defense rounds w/ large buckshot. want to transition your shotgun to birdshot or something to pepper your assailant and take a chance on ******* them off rather than stopping them, go for it…but not me, no thanks.

furthermore, a shotgun is a bigger problem for smaller people to utilize and utilize effectively. a blast from a shotgun will not magically find your target and vaporize it a ugh, what a bunch of crap the internet breeds.

these types of ballistics tests have been done over and over again, the shotgun argument is a myth. the order of ‘best choice’ in an urban setting for home defense, particularly if you are concerned about over penetrating.
