  This like any other subject is good for a teenager to be able to discuss with the parent. I would be proud that my child actually thought highly enough of my parenting to tell me what is an issue in their life, no matter what that might be. I do not support many of the teachings of being born gay, or gay marriage, but see this no different than any other concern or issue a young person may have. As a parent, I cannot guide or help my child if they do not trust that they will not just be condemn. As a Christian, can I offer understanding to others if it does not exist in my own home ? I applaud the family that has this relationship between the children and the adults.

  Liberals are coming out demanding that those who believe in the US Constitution and the 2nd Amendment should be killed, shot dead, murdered, etc… Guess there is a good reason to have a gun, when so many nuts are on the loose that they can openly express that they would like to see law abiding citizens murdered because of their lawful support of the US Constitution. I will have to keep my Bible and guns closer now as I was unaware how many moral bankrupt, ethically and mentally challenged liberals who would kill conservatives exist. Guess it is time for the FBI to get busy and arrest all these anarcists who would collapse society in a moment if they could… Perhaps Obama should use those 10 Re-education camps, and 3 prisons he bought to corral these sick sick people and hope that the rest of us Good Law Abiding God Fearing People can live a safer life. If the FBI must shoot some of these very dangerous liberals, He could use some of those 2 million caskets along side the highways or maybe this is the very reason he bought those. Thank you Obama for planning to imprision or if needed put down these mad dogs of society to protect us law abiding freedom loving moral and ethical few.

  Yes, Westboro Church is doing much more harm to people then good. That is not what God would have wanted from any group of Christians, and they are shameful in their exercise of free speech. True Christians all over the world are doing the right thing by praying for those who were slain and the Families affected by this maniac. God did not ordain or condone such a thing, and in fact if the Westboro Church would read their Bible, it would say “Thou Shall Not Kill”. Period. It does not add anything to that to compromise the statement.

  Westboro Church is but one group of people and do not reflect the religious views or values of most Christians. To say your agnostic because of the rare exceptions is really to have taken the smallest view you could of people, and made that the trait of all. This would make you unenlightened in truth, and make your own views outside of any normal acceptable limits. Maybe, you should rethink that, and associate traits with those in the majority of a group, rather then those who represent such a tiny group of outliers.

  TrollMonger. If we could silence ignorance then where would you voice your view ? You who believe that nothing created everything. Absolutly, Nothing created everything according to your wisdom and belief, and yet that is your religion and all should be restricted in believing the same. I am sure of the following, that nothing exists in your brain worth knowing. It would be easy to spar with you, and perhaps get you to make some prepared remark that you have in your book of put downs for others, but will remind you that you give others much credit when you presume they care about your remarks. Such interest in those who have no insight, but only slights at others often provide me with the opportunity to laugh and enjoy the blessings of a sound mind. So, could you really come up with any grounds other then that it is people themselves that have caused all issues rather then what has been wrapped around their theology. All right wingers are the same via stereotype ? If that was true, then of course they would have kicked your ass down the street as they forced you to accept religion, true ? Of course they would have shot your dumb ass for blashphemy and such, true ? Perhaps even now your dead to those or at least on their list of people to take care of, true ? Perhaps one of the Bible thumpers will smack you upside your head as they know only violence, true ? Lie to yourself and believe your own lies, as that is who you are and what you believe.

  God is love, and that is not what this church group is spreading. However, God’s love is for the individual and not for the actions of those people. God also does not change though, so the things they list of biblical nature are true both then and now. One cannot read the Bible and find support for Gay Marriage as your comment suggests is an issue. Such marriage was ordained by God to be a Man and a Woman, that has never changed and is the only format that is acceptable to God. God does not hate either of the people involved, but, does not support or accept it as anything other then sin. Moral and Ethical values that are contained in the Bible are not changed because today’s so called enlightened view suggests that those values should now be changed. Any Church that teaches acceptance to such things does so in violation of Gods will and such is not blessed by anyone in Heaven, but, only those ignorant on earth who cannot believe in a truth that lasts forever. I do not support the actions or messages of the church or the people in question in this story as I said to begin with that God is Love, and as such his message is grace to us humans, as although he made us, he gave us free choice and knew we were not wise enough or perfected enough to choose the correct answer and methods much of the time. Of course, finally, even those in this church are entitled first to be human even though they are Christians which accounts for their failures to observed God’s teachings.
