Years ago there were not any anatomically correct mannequins to train nurses and physicians. These students were put in the same position their patients would be placed in. Perhaps they are not only training but teaching what the patient will be experiencing. I think if done professionally in a controlled environment this is not a bad thing. They are ok violating a patient with a benign medical procedure but do not feel it is right to experience what the patient will experience. Which would actually make them better sonographers and could on a long shot discover disease or anatomy issues. Rememver I am saying if professionally performed

Thank you for taking the time to educate me on this. I had no idea being an uneducated in this area. I appreciate you taking the time to explain it.

Thank you Tuma. I have debated sending this on to my mother as I know how sad she still gets at 88 over the loss of her eldest brother. Luckily my father made it home

I am sad to say these planes most probably hold the remains of their pilots. My Uncle possibly one of them. Though they are very cool to see, I hopefully they will be treated with the respect of a resting place

Seriously, does anyone not see how staged this fake outrage is by this reporter. Total set up to give Carney the ability to state this email was about something other than Benghazi

Hi Monk, I don’t know what happened to him. Why is he misrepresenting himself with the above statement of his experience in the ER? He is an Internal Medicine trained physician with an additional degree in Public Health. He would have very limited experience as an Internal Medical physician in the ER on the surgical wing treating gunshot wounds.. Even as a resident, the surgical side of the ER is run by Surgical Resident’s and their Attending’s not IM Doc’s. I don’t like misleading comments such as the above, it really makes me question their ethics. Whatever happened to the other doc? Never heard much about her at all.

Hi Foo, Here is the most important question. I think you will undoubtedly know why I am asking it. At what gestational age was the ultrasound done that determined the death of this baby?

Indians, Redskins, Warriors, and Rebels were considered fierce fighters. Now, they can adopt an animals name, mustang, dog, pony. Animals make great mascots (additional sarcasm added) in fact they are known as pets. This is ridiculous. What about the old historic names like Spartans or Trojans. Relatives of those individuals have got to be offended as well.

Cardinal Dolan told Obama that he hoped the Catholic Church could continue to stand behind his healthcare plan. This is just payment to Obama to have the Catholic Church support Obama. So the answer is no, she is not jumping ship. She is right next to the Captain.

This is a very sad situation. But they have had the head of neurology from Stanford declare her brain dead. The family needs to start the grieving process and move forward. I agree with the deadline. It is very difficult for a family to come to terms when there is a warm body on a ventilator even though brain death has occurred. Heartbreaking for all.

I rarely reply anymore but I do have one thing to say. In regards to black communities lack of connections. Within 2 hours, individuals ( and I am assuming largely black individuals because that is what I saw on the news) were able to clear out two Walmart’s in Louisiana. Now, that is quite the ability to connect with your friends and loved ones when you see an opportunity. In fact, perhaps it is one of the best emergency communication systems I have ever seen. Though they were helping themselves to “free stuff” The irony of it all.

Well, this could prove very interesting. People tend to change their minds about taxes when they are not receiving the same bills as everyone else.

Totally agree. People had rifles in their pickups the entire time I was growing up and never did anything like this occur.

That’s hilarious! Love it. I mean your sense of humor. Not the design.

    Thanks, I see your point.

For medical purposes room air is 21 % oxygen. 100 percent oxygen is used in certain cases. Also, this child does appear to be receiving supplemental oxygen via the clear tube seen nearest the insertion point of the ET tube and the Ambu Bag. Sorry idarusskie, but I do not like it when people make statements that are obviously untrue.a
