  If the profits from the lottery were truly aimed at things like education for states, then why does the gov keep the taxed amount from your winnings? Why not give it directly to education? I guess they need some busy work at the IRS.

  No big deal, Ford does it to. I know someone personally who was caught drinking on the job, grieved for his job, got it back, with back pay, then 6 months later accepted a buyout that included 1/2 of his salary for 4 years, and a full ride to a college of his choice. Ain’t the UAW grand?

  Freedom of speech doesn’t define making things “fair” for those who oppose someone else’s right to free speech. Your license plate should be able to say “Cure world hunger, feed people stray animals”, if that is what you choose.

  If I was planning on escaping from my nation of origin, I don’t think climbing on landing gear would be my first choice of traveling options. Boat, train, car, walk, swim, horse, but never on landing gear.
