The cartridge is a M-50 series military 20mm cannon cartridge (i.e. the same used in the rotary M61A1 series gatling gun used in fighter aircraft).

  • April 21, 2014 at 11:54am

I don’t know if anyone has mentioned it . . . but the cartridge is a military 20mm cannon shell, specifically the M-50 series. The M-50 series is used in the rotary 20mm M61A1 series gatling gun that is used on fighter jets, etc. Therefore, the image is *beyond* ridiculous but is highly indicative of the leftest anti-gun establishment that haven’t a CLUE about firearms, not even in the most general terms. And hence the problem with their arguments: their ignorance boggles the mind.

    Simply indicative of today’s:
“mass-exposure/look-at-me!/clueless/uninhibited/narcissistic/selfie/classless/shameful/indecent and decadent” generation. Indeed, it is doubtful that even the Flower Children, drafted into the service against their wishes, and forced to serve on the line in Nam during the 60s-70s never would have had such poor judgement. No excuse. At minimum, the senior NCO involved should be busted (not imprisoned, just busted).

Tactics right off the Kremlin’s page of “boot on the neck” tyranny. This is just one of SCORES of lawless attacks by Barry and DOJ that have been overlooked, bypassed, unrecognized, or simply missed by Issa and his gang due to downright malfeasance, incompetence, or (IMO) Intentionally Ignored.

We are no longer a Nation of Laws. This is just the beginning.

Tough to get at the “absolute” truth since key personnel (from both sides) were KIA. THIS IS NOT TO SAY Luttrell has embellished ANYTHING. No, he is a hero, warrior and survivor. It is just that a witness’ perspective will vary during any given event. Indeed, Tolstoy remarked, “As soon as an event has taken place, it becomes as many events as it had witnesses.” Still, I recall a line from The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance: “This is the west, Sir. When the legend becomes fact, print the legend.” In the end, it is difficult to get to “the truth story” as long as one factors in the human element. There always will be variances in recalling the action.

    @april12,61 – *Exactly*.

    Love your handle, BTW.

  • January 15, 2014 at 11:53am

@mcFirst – Agree. Hind sight is 50/50, I suppose. Indeed, if George A. Custer knew what was coming I seriously doubt [upon seeing the Indian village on the river] he would have yelled, “Hurrah, Men! We have them now!”

@Findingmyway – I think you’re on to something. If anything, the fact the team allowed the civilians to leave – despite the certainty that the team would be discovered by the “Tolly-Bon” – speaks more about our nature as Americans than anything else in the story. Indeed, a similar episode happened with a Special Forces team in western Iraq in 1991. The SF team was discovered by a shepherd boy. But the team chose not to kill him. Later the team was discovered (of course). They were saved after a hard fight and Close Air Support from F-16s. *This* from a nation that intentionally wiped out whole cities during WWII. Indeed, on March 10, 1945, the 20th AF burned/gutted sixteen square miles of Tokyo; perhaps the most densely populated area on the planet. And we did it with intent. As a nation we have come a long way in minimizing civilian/non-combatant casualties (regardless of what the Leftist believe). Yes, we have grown as a nation. And now, our warriors have at times willingly chose to offer their lives for the sake of civilians. I think that is the “morality and character fiber” you refer to. Kudos. You made an excellent point. (And thank you for your service.)

@SpaceTater – “I think” yourghost is referencing the Westboro Baptists radicals out of Topeka, KS – not us. The Westboro tribe are not affiliated with any Baptists denomination.

And yes, Tuttle DOES sound like a Westboro Baptists radical.

@SpaceTate – You described perfectly the Baptists I know. Great insight; terrific.

@TumbleBumble — No, the gun club was great; first rate, and cutting edge. (This is the same gun club where “The Masters” tournaments were held for decades.) Moreover, the members are all freedom loving, most former military types who have fought and shed blood for the Constitution. Ultimately we all knew Durbin was using his membership for politics only. Metcalf though was the boss of the club – period. IIRC Metcalf championed the fact Durbin joined (and the reason I resigned my membership). In the end, Durbin’s membership swayed voters who simply read the headlines and what the liberal media want them to know. It worked.

  • January 6, 2014 at 3:20pm

For years I suspected Metcalf was a closet liberal. Moreover, I watched in astonishment Metcalf’s rise in the gun industry. Back in the late 80s Metcalf championed the fact Dick Durbin joined Metcalf’s gun club in Illinois. Every Illinois gun owner knew who and what Durbin stood for. Therefore, either Metcalf was the most naive gun owner on the planet or his political ties with Durbin were with intent. As it turned out, it is of no surprise that Durbin used his association with Metcalf’s gun club as a tool to acquire pro-gun/pro-hunting votes. It worked. Durbin was elected,. He’s still there, perhaps one of three staunchest anti-gun radicals in the senate.

This would be humorous if it weren’t so tragic. Woodward’s concern for “rats nest of concealment” would never have been possible if not for the commie libs protecting Barry through every unlawful act of Treason. Moreover, “Woodstein” and other liberal beltway ilk that parade around Washington as journalists NEVER will jeopardize their role in taking down Richard Nixon, which is the epitome of the Liberal Wet Dream. They will continue to provide cover for Barry’s administration. Mark my words. If Woodward was truely concerned he would have addressed something as innocuous as Barry’s SS# in 2008. They’re all culpable.

I watched it. To me, it was obvious the *Codpiece* arrived upright, full of fight and vigor, and was going to give Hannity hell – and at all costs – perhaps to regain what little integrity.

I like Sean Hannity. Always have. Patriot without apology and a fine man with honor and integrity. Anyone that truely “knows” Sean all agree that he is a great guy; first rate. But frankly? What happened here with the *flaccid one* is exactly why I’m really not a “diehard” fan of Hannity. He constantly has these leftist losers on his show(s) as guests, allowing them a venue to spew their dribble and Marxist bile. These losers already have every other news outlet/venue to spew their Marxist ideology but Hannity offers them a LARGER venue and audience to do so! In the end, it gets tiresome and (IMO) seems like “work” when watching/listening to Sean.

O’Reilly knows just enough about the bible to be dangerous. He is *so* arrogant. If he had a weak area, it is in theology. Anyone who would say on national television: “I don’t care about the ramblings of Paul” should never comment on scripture. But no. He can’t help himself. Who other than O’Reilly would believe he would know the answers to divine theology? Next thing you know he’ll be talking about heart or brain surgery. “Yes, Doctor O’Reilly. Indeed, Doctor O’Reilly. Whatever you say, Doctor O’Reilly. You know everything! You’re the Shell Answer Man!” In the end, he’s lost me. Never again, Daddy-O. Though I will miss D. Miller.

Mr. Glenn Beck – a single, humble, radio and television commentator – is the only person (as far as I know) acknowledging that what we are witnessing in this country is full blown tyranny. F Lee Levin may have; I’m not sure. Still, not even Limbaugh called it for what it truely is – TYRANNY. THAT is the real issue here.

What will it take? Honestly. What does it take – what will it take – for the liberty loving, Constitutional wing of America to stand up to the tyrants at Lexington bridge and say “ENOUGH!” Indeed, it doesn’t take a doctorate in World History/Affairs to see what is happening to our nation. A blind man can see it.

I’m with you too/two! Amnesty, tax hikes, support for ObummerCare and the culpable silence during the past five years as we witness BHO rip the constitution to shreds. Hundreds of thousands of American dead, those who died to protect our way of life and to defend the constitution, are crying out from the graves: “Why have you allowed this to happen?”

I’ll never support another Republican. I’m washing my hands of them all.

    GLADILEFTCAL: My thoughts exactly!

  • September 3, 2013 at 6:34pm

If the house republicans do not impeach Boehner, especially after this travesty … I will never again vote for a republican. *EVER*

Crap. Utter-repulsive-crap. THIS is accepted as humor in 2013? Writing? Millions upon millions of dollars thrown into the entertainment machine, and for what? This is not writing. It is deranged, warped, and twisted – seen through a prism of the demented, and altered by mind altering chemicals. The entertainment industry is so out of touch it is unable to recognize reprobates and freaks on parade. And New York and the Kardashian wing of America loving every minute. The cesspool is getting deeper and deeper. Everyone knows it. That is, everyone except the writers at SNL. I guess they need to be bit in the ass by a shark to realize they are up to their neck in hot water.
