‘Off His Medications’: Rep. West Takes Chris Matthews to Task for Wild Chicago Theory
August 31, 2012 at 7:45pm
I question whether Chris Matthews is any kind of authority on racism. Indeed i question whether Chris Matthews is any kind of authority on any issue of importance.
Allen West, on the other hand is a hands on leader of men who has faced and overcome both armed enemies and political opponents…
Do we listen to the (minority race) proven leader of men, who has intentionally put himself in harms way and overcome great odds, or do we listen to the mewling white mouthpiece who lives in an exclusive subdivision and cries about “racism”?

Dem Response to RNC’s ‘We Built This!’ Theme: No You Didn’t, You Destroyed it!
August 29, 2012 at 12:56am
Daytona,
I disagree that government requires leadership over tyranny. There are tyrannical governments all over our planet, including, more and more, ours.
Leadership and competency are becoming exceedingly rare qualities to find amongst men willing to govern. To wit; B.H. Obama.
Leadership amongst private firms who compete in the marketplace is plentiful, but increasingly unwilling to submit themselves to the selection process for elected office. When we find one who is both fundamentally honest, competitive, and competent, we oughtta jump on that band wagon…
Finding such an individual who has successfully and competently held executive office before is a fortunate thing, for the nation with the common sense to elect him.

I believe that Romney and Bain Capital did send jobs offshore. But Bain is a capital management firm, and with the way our nation has become so business unfriendly it would be less than responsible, in many cases to do anything else. Bain and Romney successfully managed capital, and Romney knows just what it will take to make American manufacturing worth investing in once again.
Obama is a community organizer who has never worked a production job. He has never overseen a production job. And he has never managed investment capital for those who desire to engage in production.
The only thing that Obama understands is government. He wants every American to rely on and depend on government for their well-being.
Problem is that a government that’s big enough to give you everything is also big enough to take it away.

Just as well that I had no machete in the truck that morning… I’d have hacked my leg off before I got the truck stopped.

“DEFCON4, Are you familiar with the palmetto bug? Basically six inch long roaches that can fly. Yeah, they are bastiges alright. LOL”
When i was living in Florida a lifetime ago, i got up and headed to work one morning. I had put my shoes on without checking them and was doing about 75 mph on I95 when i realized i had something in my shoe that wanted out. BADLY…
I wanted it out just as badly and about rolled my truck in the median strip before shucking my shoe and finding a small palmetto bug.
‘Orwellian’: Lawyer of Former Marine Detained Over Facebook Posts Says 20K ‘Civil Commitments’ in VA Each Year Part of Bigger Problem
August 24, 2012 at 11:40pm
nah… Not really…
Having participated many times in the civil commitment process, in another life long ago, i can in good conscience say that the large majority of them are regular visitors to psych institutions, who have simply slipped their meds and threatened their own safety or that of someone else.
there are a minority of normal folk who, due to crisis situations such as marital strife, say or do things that get them locked up and examined to ensure their own safety and that of others.
The normally sane are given a cooling off period, and a view of what it’s like in an institution for those not so sane. Most don’t make the same trip twice.
And i doubt that any govt authority looked at Raub’s internet ramblings and decided to pick him up and subject him to examination. Someone was alarmed at what he said online and made a complaint to the cops.
